Six books down in August...

The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer Doctor Who The Shakespeare Notebooks by Justin Richards The Sign of Four by Arthur Conan Doyle Popular Vintage Wisdom for a Modern Geek by Maya Van Wagenen Every Day (Every Day, #1) by David Levithan Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and it's all small stuff Simple Ways to Keep the Little Things from Taking Over Your Life by Richard Carlson

Unlike last month, only one re-read this month! That was Popular - SUCH an amazing book, so inspiring! Of the new reads though, my fave was either The Host or Every Day I think, really enjoyed both. My least favourite might be The Shakespeare Notebooks, that wasn't quite what I hoped it would be.

How did everyone else do? :)

I only managed to get 2 books read in August, they were Garden Spells (Waverley Family, #1) by Sarah Addison Allen , Stargirl (Stargirl, #1) by Jerry Spinelli .
Hopefully September will be better, because I really need to catch up on my reading.

Sophie | 139 comments I finished 3 books in August: Fangtastic! (My Sister the Vampire, #2) by Sienna Mercer Revamped! (My Sister the Vampire #3) by Sienna Mercer Daring Greatly How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brené Brown

In July I read Beauty Queens by Libba Bray and LOVED IT but I made the mistake of not thinking about what I wanted to read after it. I didn't fancy anything for a couple of weeks because all I wanted to do was read that again, haha. I did read a bit in August though. The two Sienna Mercer books were both re-reads, I reckon I've read them both at least 3 times before. My Sister the Vampire is one of my favourite series and they were as wonderful as ever. Definitely helped me out of my book hangover.

Daring Greatly was an interesting self-growth book about vulnerability and shame. I got a lot from it and enjoyed it 'greatly' (see what I did there, ;D). I have learnt from my mistakes and have been thinking lots about what books I'm excited for and what I want to read next. I think September will be a great reading month for me. I hope it is for every one else too!

Awesome, Megan! Which book was your favourite? In a Dark, Dark Wood looks interesting. And what it must be like to read books as soon as you buy them - I can't imagine! Good for you - I have a bit... lot of a backlog of books. :D
