Blue Lake Academy discussion

This dormitory is for Theia (9124crystal) and Chloe (Catherine). Theia is in Education and Chloe is in History. As a result, the room is filled with writing supplies of all sorts and even whiteboards on the walls.

Chloe let out a groan as she entered the room, throwing her backpack on her desk and collapsing on the bed.

Theia rushed through the door and plopped herself down on the bed. It was a brilliant day for her, full of new things to try out. She turned towards her roomie. "I'm Theia, what's your name?" She asked.

Chloe opened an eye and turned her head to look at her. "Chloe," she replied. "I guess you're my roomie." She glanced at the other side of the room. It was one of the fanciest dorms she'd ever seen.

"Yeah," Theia said, before asking. "Are you in any of my classes?"

"I don't know," Chloe replied simply. "Probably not. I'm a senior, what about you?" Theia didn't look quite 18 to her. She could be an incoming senior. Chloe wasn't quite sure, and she didn't like guessing people's ages aloud in case someone took offense.

"I'm 17 turning 18 this year." She replied.

"So senior?" Chloe asked with a small laugh. "Do you know the terms? Senior is the final year of high school and junior is the third, right before senior."

"Oh, then I am becoming a senior. I'm from New Zealand." She explained.

((I am honestly so confused with the terms, and in truth I am from Canada where we don't use those terms.))

((I'm sorry. I added an explanation on About the Group for the Canadians earlier. I didn't know when I made this group it was used by people outside the US. (Sorry that sounds kind of lame)))

"Oh, sorry," Chloe said apologetically. "I didn't know how many people at this school were from other countries." She was surprised that a United States school had so many out-of-country attendees. It was a famous school, though. She should have guessed.

((It's fine. :) The thing I was confused about was whether 17 could be senior or junior))

"Yeah, I actually came here because of my brother." She added.

"Cool!" Chloe exclaimed, shifting to a sitting position on her bed. "So we probably are in some classes together since we're the same grade."

"Yeah, probably." Theia ssid. "What do you specialize in?"

"History," Chloe told her, pulling out her labeled binder and showing it to her. "I'm looking forward to classes starting back up."

"Me too. I'm in Education." Theia said.

"What period do you have lunch?" Chloe asked, flipping through her binder while listening to check everything was in order.

"5th. you?" Theia said, absentmindedly. She took out her homework and started filling things in.

"Same here!" Chloe looked up and grinned at her. "Is this your first year? I can introduce you to some people if so."

"Sure!" THeia said, sitting up.

Chloe grinned, "Great. I'll introduce you at lunch if that's good."

"Yeah, I have some people I can introduce you to as well." Theia said.

Chloe nodded, "That would be a great." A flutter of nerves went through her at the thought of new people, but she shoved it away. They were just people.

"Great! i'm famished. Got any spare food?" Theia asked.

((Not anymore *sigh* Hmm... Maybe I'll make another cafeteria thread. It's a pretty popular place. Yeah, I'll do that and post.))
