For a book with striking typography on the cover - some of my favourites:
- Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (YA contemporary)
- Alif the Unseen (Fantasy)
- Juliet Takes a Breath (YA/NA contemporary)
- Sorcerer to the Crown (Historical fantasy)
- The Young Elites (YA fantasy)
- Not Your Sidekick (YA SFF)

*Also, all by marginalised authors. I hope these help!

Glaiza | 14 comments If I finish the Rogue's path, I plan to read these books for the Bard's path:

TV/film adaptation - Adulthood Rites (SF - This is book 2 of the Xenogenesis trilogy, Book 1 is Dawn. The Xenogenesis story is being adapted by Ava Duvernay into a film.)

Fairytale retelling - Upside Down: Inverted Tropes in Storytelling (Fantasy)

Striking typography - Binti or Lagoon (SF)

Translated - A Wild Sheep Chase, The Rabbit Back Literature Society or The Three-Body Problem

Banned book - Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood (Graphic novel memoir)

*All the books except The Rabbit Back Literature Society are by marginalised authors.

Of the options for striking typography, I was highly impressed by Binti by Nnedi Okorafor, Juliet Takes a Breath by Gabby Rivera, and Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho, all by marginalised authors.
