Altered For Life discussion

"Asher's Equation", modeled after a sentence on page 25 (clearly expressed expectations + consistent follow-through= responsible kids) is an interesting proposition. Raising leaders is the goal, but what happens when you follow all of those principles and your child still doesn't meet the standard or chooses mediocrity?

I agree that this is a real possibility and the fear of many parents. Ultimately I think it comes down to surrender and trusting God for His ultimate plan to have its way in their lives in spite of where it seems to be headed...."having done all we can"...we are instructed to "stand". Sometimes, in this fallen world, things don't turn out as we hope. In the end...He's in control and that's all we have to lean on.
