#4 bibliotaph is my favorite, probably because I am a hoarder. Even though I have an e-reader for several years I still have a ton of books that I just can't seem to let go.
1. tsundoku
Tsundoku is a Japanese word that has no direct synonym in English. It means, ‘the act of leaving a book unread after buying it, typically piling it up together with other such unread books.’
2. colophon
A colophon is the easiest way to recognize a publisher because it is a publisher’s emblem or imprint that can often be found on the title page or on the spine of a book.
3. libricide
Although rarely used today, libricide—the ‘killing’ of a book—is the last thing any book lover wants to hear about.
4. bibliotaph
Many readers identify as bibliotaphs, or people who bury their books by keeping them under lock and key. Bibliotaphs are often readers who hoard their books and protect them from others.
5. princeps
The first edition or printing of a book is known as the princeps.
6. bibliognost
This term refers to someone who knows books and bibliography. Taken from the root word biblio- combined with the Greek γνώστης,‘one who knows’, a bibliognost knows the minutiae of every page. This is one serious book lover!
7. hamartia
Perhaps one of the most gut-wrenching moments in a reading experience is a beloved character’s downfall. Hamartia refers specifically to a fatal flaw that leads to the downfall of a tragic hero or heroine.
8. librocubicultarist
Librocubicultarist hasn’t made its way into Oxford Dictionaries just yet, but it’s a common piece of slang in literary circles used to describe people who read in bed. This word is a product of the Latin liber ‘book’ and cubiculum ‘sleeping chamber’.
9. fascicle
A fascicle is a part or a number in a work published in installments.
10. scripturient
Although this word is rarely used today, it describes something any book lover is familiar with: an author. A scripturient is simply someone who has a passion for writing.

I don't think I have been on a team with any of you before. Has everyone played before? I have played before, just not sure how many. I think I would prefer to be a player and not the captain. I drive about three hours a day in traffic and I will be moving during this round of BSB, but usually read about two books a week no problem, so I prefer not to have the extra responsibility.
I love the list Ora, I'm going to read fully through it and post again.

I have lived in Charlotte the past 15 years. prior to that I have grew up in the Central Valley in California and also lived in Northern California. I do love the south, however I missed the redwoods and Yosemite.

That's totally me - I have to read for at lest 10-15 minutes before bed or I get cranky, lol

As far as names, does anyone else like Ora's suggestions or have other suggestions? Not sure if I was very clear but I was saying I liked those three for team names :)

We do need to decide on a team name.
Also for those who didn't play last year, in the thread How to find a BSB book, Lisa Kay posted a very easy way to locate a book without having to go through pages to find one here.

Don't Touch the Bibliotaphs or Bibliotaphs Unite
Sleepy Readers... I do like librocubicultarist, more so to have someone want to figure out what it means.
We All Scream for ......Shelf!!!
We Will We Will Read You

Ora - you found so many words! I'm most definitely a Tsundoku, A book hoarder both for my physical shelf, but I also have about 350 unread titles on my kindle. Ooops.
If I could read in my sleep I don't think the problem would be so bad.
Anyway - I've been playing bingo I think 4 times or something. It's been a lot of fun, but I don't think I've ever been on a winning team... Maybe this round!
Also - I'm from Denmark and I love Fantasy and UF. I actually also have a Youtube channel where I talk books. So a lot of time is spend filming, editing and all that. That's probably also why I'm not currently up for being captain. I hope that's ok?
Bibliotaphs Unite sounds like a fun team name. I also like Booklovers Unite, but the first one is more unique.

So Bibliotaphs Unite for a team name?

I'm a total book hoarder - so hard not to click when I see freebies ......total bad habit of downloading those. I've gotten better at not clicking on all of them. I have over 2800 to read listed on here. Pretty sure I'll never make it through them all. Doesn't mean I own them....the tbr gets bigger with each team challenge I play and see what everyone else is reading :D

Overall I liked this book. Anne took a little bit for me to like her. I guess it was more so that she felt being a strong woman meant you couldn’t receive help from a man. After she got over herself and realized that she needed help protecting herself from a serial killer she became more likeable for me.
The story drew me in with trying to figure out who was behind the murders and why the bodies were being left on Anne’s property. I like the fact that you didn’t know who or why the murders were happening until the end. I hate guessing and being right before getting hallway through a book.(view spoiler)

I actually wanted to start it now, but then I remembered it's horror and I'm about to go to bed. I'll start it tomorrow instead, and read my current Discworld book before bed instead :D

I decided to change my book, I am reading The Devil in Disguise
So far it's pretty good :)

I hope you love Devil in Disguise. I love Cynthia Eden and that series.

Gin finally gets to kill Mab. Yay!!! I am happy that Mab is gone now. I’m not sure who will wind up taking her place especially when things were still in chaos at the end of the book with the underworld. That will be interesting to find out what happens and how it will affect Gin.
I was so happy that Gin finally let Owen know how she feels. She was driving me crazy when she was going back and forth with her emotions and not feeling like she deserved happiness along with waiting for the other shoe to drop to take it all away from her. I am also happy for Bria and Finn. I haven’t looked to see if there is a novella with Bria and Finn but I think I would like one.

Anyway - I'm 7 chapters into my book, and hopefully I'll finish it today. It's a really interesting story so far.

Review: it's always a pleasure to step back into Gin's world. Gin is trying to uncover the leader of the mysterious Circle group that allowed Mab to kill her mother. Along the way we find out more about Gin's mom (is she really all good if she was part of the Cirlce), the night of the murder and some other people that were there and how they relate to Gin's family. I have my suspicions as to how this will play out - we'll see if I'm right. Also in this one gin is lead on a merry chase to do someone else's bidding and when she puts all the pieces together she is none too happy. Can't wait to see how all this shakes out with the Circle! Awesome narration as always.

Review:
This book follows Perry who feels like she's stuck in a job she's not really happy with. She's the odd one out in the family, and currently she's struggling with terrifying nightmares.
One day when she's visiting her uncle's house she goes to the beach towards the lighthouse. This is owned by her uncle, but it's also known to be haunted. She doesn't understand why she's drawn to the place, but when she's there creepy stuff happens, and she discovers a ghosthunter of a man (Dex), who's trying to catch something on film. Things go on from there.
I really enjoyed the creepy parts of this book. They were done really well, though I felt like the ending could have been done a little better. I think that the parts without the creepy seemed a little slow and boring at times. Though I also enjoyed some of the conversations she had with her uncle.
I loved that Perry wasn't your typical "skinny is said to be plain jane, but actually isn't" character, but she is the odd one who doesn't go with the flow. She's not into the fashion her sister is, and she is struggling with a bit of lumps after she was overweight as a teenager.
I hated her mother for how she treated Perry because she didn't act like every one else, and how she always tried to change her.
Dex was definitely interesting, but I have to read a few more books in the series before I make a full decision about him
Finally it annoyed me that (view spoiler)
I definitely want to read on in the series.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

The Devil in Disguise by Cynthia Eden
8/12/17 ★★★★
What a great new to me series find. Luke, the dark twin to his brother's light twin, is the Lord of all that is Dark. Mina seeks out Luke in order to use one of his items of power for what she feels will save her life. The world building between the light and dark paranormals, and the agency trying to do them harm, was fun to discover. So often the two lead characters in a book seem thrown together and don't really seem to fit with each other, but Luke and Mina's chemistry was great. They meet right at the beginning of the book and from that point on the I couldn't put the book down. I loved the story and all of the characters and can't wait to read more of the series.
