Hi everyone,
i began last year to read the first book of the dark tower and i wasn't very impressed by it. So now i don't know if it's worth to continue it- if the story becomes more interesting- or if all the other books are more or less the same as the first one.
(please no spoilers)

Almost everyone I've talked to that has read this series has had this exact problem. The Gunslinger is a very slow start, but the series only gets better from there. I recommend you finish The Gunslinger and at least begin the next novel, The Drawing of the Three. I can all but guarantee that you'll have a much more enjoyable experience with that one. I wasn't able to put it down and it became my favorite entry in the series. Trust me when I say that if you make your way through the rest of the series you will not be disappointed!
Totally agree with Logan. Though my favorite book is the Wizard and the glass.
The Gunslinger doesn't seem like it was written with the big picture in mind and I feel like Stephen King says this as well. I read it once and was collecting the others in the series but then didn't read past it because it was just kinda basic westernish.
It gets so much better. Totally worth it. The Wind through the keyhole as well.
