I just finished this trilogy and I was wondering if I could discuss it with you guys. Of course I will use spoiler tags if you haven't read it! There aren't any discussion questions in the se second or third book but there's definitely some discussion questions on Shadow and Bone but I've done it already but if you're interested to know my answers to those questions, I will put them here! So what do you like about this book? What do you not like? Who are your favorite characters? Which one is your favorite out of the trilogy? I'm interested to know what you guys think!

Erica I seriously adored Shadow and Bone, and I only liked Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising :(

I like Alina and I'm part of the minority that ships her with Mal. (view spoiler)

I'm slightly indifferent to most of the characters though. I liked Zoya's character development, but other than that I'm kind of indifferent. They didn't annoy me or anything and I rooted for them, but I probably wouldn't have cared too much if they died.

I loved Shadow and Bone! It hooked me from the start! I liked Siege and Storm but it is a lot of waiting around for something to happen. Nikolai is the best though and I love his witty banter! Ruin and Rising was so good for me. (view spoiler)

I liked a lot of the characters especially Genya, Tolya, Tamar and Zoya. Nadia was just kinda there in my opinion. (view spoiler)

But at the same time, I would not have been like emotional over their deaths. (view spoiler)

Also I read a snippet of the Darkling's origin story and it really helps to understand him. I do wish we had more Darkling because the only book I felt that happening was the first one :(

Six of Crows is definitely far better, you can really see Bardugo growing as a writer and character development and world building are much better in Six of Crows :)
