I'm looking for books that are based on Greek Mythology that you guys would recommend. Not anything by Homer or the like, more a modern author's take on Greek Mythology. Thanks!!

Young adult and adult would both be fine. (I've already read the Percy Jackson books when I was younger lol)
Fatal Attraction: Aphrodite's Tale: is an interesting, unusual retelling of the Aphrodite/Hephaesteus/Ares
I think these are Greek based... Some are further afield than others tho. The Ancient Future trilogy by Traci Harding
Forsaken by Kristen Day
???
Descension by BC Burgess
Darn...this post has reminded me of a YA novel I read in high school. It was like a novelization about Oedipus. Now I want to read it again. I think it was part of a series, because I think another book in the series gets into the backstory of Caedmon. Maybe someone will remember it and post it here. (If not I might have to start a whole separate post looking for it, LOL.) Maybe it will come to me...I don't think it was called Oedipus though...
A trilogy of plays by Eugene O'Neill based on Greek tragedies, but set after the U.S. Civil War: Mourning Becomes Electra Mourning Becomes ElectraA mystery set in the 20th century, based on Antigone: The Theban Mysteries by Amanda Cross (which is a nom de plume for Carolyn Heilbrun) The Theban Mysteries
Nobody's Princess and its' sequel Nobody's Prize are good. Also try Oh. My. Gods., Sweet Venom, Radiant Darkness, Abandon, Quicksilver, Everneath, and Pandora Gets Jealous
That's all I can think of right but hopefully there is something that you will enjoy!
A Dozen Tough Jobs by Howard Waldrop is a retelling of Hercules' Labors in 1920s Alabama. Houlka Lee is a convict who is released into the custody of Maxie Zeus, a plantation owner who delights in giving Lee impossible tasks. This novella is hard to track down, but it's a fantastic read and worth the effort. This link shows all the ways it's been published:http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/title.cg...
If you're interested, try your local library. They almost certainly won't have it, but you might be able to make an interlibrary loan request to get it from a library that does.
Seeking Persephone is a loose retelling of the Persephone/Hades and Beauty/Beast story, set in Regency England. Christian historical.
Receiver of Many and Destroyer of Light by Rachel Alexander . Another Hades/Persephone retelling by a modern author, but the story itself isn't "modernized" -- meaning the characters aren't placed in this century. The Greek pantheon features heavily. The books were obviously heavily researched. I personally LOVE them. They outstrip every other Hades/Persephone retelling I've encountered by a significant degree.
Goddess of Spring, Goddess of Troy, Goddess of Light and Goddess of Love, all by PC Cast are all stories featuring Greek goddesses as main characters, that have been swapped with 21st century women. They are easy reading fantasy romances, and very female led.
The Odyssey was good but kind of a chore to get through. It wasn't the easiest read but watching the spark notes videos along with it on youtube was actually pretty fun.
The Dark Wife is a modern take on retelling the classic Hades and Persephone myth. Set in the kingdom of the gods and Hades just happens to be a girl, no big deal. Haven't finished this one myself just yet but so far it seems to be a decent read.
A really good series for young readers is Myth-O-Mania Series by Kate McMullan. It's a ton of greek myths retold from Hades's perspective. For Adult: Coils by Barbara Ann Wright is a really cute romance adventure about a modern woman who travels to the underworld to save her aunt and meets Medusa, who offers to help her save her Aunt... for a price. It's really fun.
Also Olympic Hearts: a tale of two goddesses by Madeline Kelly is a cute short romance between Aphrodite and Artemis.
I just read books 1 and 2 in a fantastic Greek myth-related trilogy: The Immortals and Winter of the Gods by Jordanna Max Brodsky. They tell the adventures of Greek gods and goddesses in modern times, with Artemis the main character.
I can't remember if a lot of these are Roman or Greek, but the Gods are similar that the differences won't do much more than confuse you about the names.Solstice
The Starcrossed trilogy
The Shadow Prince
The Flame of Olympus series
The Starling series and the Touch of Frost series are a mashups between basically all mythology, but Starling is mostly Norse based. Idk, if you haven't tried Norse yet, I think it's pretty interesting.
Romance. Pandoras box was opened, demons held within escaped. Badass men, equally badass ladies. Love this series. If you like pnr thish i a must read.
