Alienated Read-Along discussion

After you've read chapters 10-12, comment here to leave a voice of what you think of it so far!

I was really hoping that Tori was going to stick it out and stand by Cara in her support of the L'eihr exchange program and her belief in Aelyx. But clearly I hoped for too much!

I can understand Tori finally getting tired of being a part of the minority and deciding to join the group against the alliance. But to go after her best friends (scratch that-ex best friends) ex-boyfriend was really cruel. On top of that, she then tried to convince Cara again to join them! Not only did Tori betray her trust but even if Cara did decide to abandon Aelyx, their friendship would never be the same.

And then we have Aelyx. Aelyx, Aelyx, Aelyx!!! Everytime I think that the guilt is finally getting to him, he reminds himself of what he came to Earth to do. It's so frustrating! I feel so bad for Cara because she is putting so much faith and trust into Aelyx and he just keeps proving that he doesn't deserve it.

I just hope the guilt gets to him enough and he changes his mind before it's too late!

Aelyx and Cara are such dull charact

I totally get it now. I think I know what's behind Aelyx's mind. Hmm...

I feel bad for Tori. I totally get what she was going through and it's difficult to go through all of that hatred. But in some ways, I'm also on Cara's side, because she's trying so hard to make everything right but Aelyx is up to something. So I don't really know what's going on.

Hopefully something will brighten up for us in the next three chapters.

My guess is that Aelyx will eventually back out of the plan when he falls in love with Cara... but it'll be dangerously close to being too late. If Cara ever finds out about what Aelyx had been scheming (even if he backs out) she'll be an angry mess, having Tori break their friendship off and Aelyx "going behind her back".

It'll be interesting to see if I'm right
