Alienated Read-Along discussion

Overall, I really felt like I was trying to find something in the book that just wasn't there. Apart from my natural curiosity to discover the outcome and whether or not the alliance would be formed between Earth and L'eihr, there really was nothing that truly interested me in this book.

The characters were dull, the romance seemed forced, the climax wasn't all that great. Basically the ending was the best part of the book because I was truly happy to be finally finished with the book and that I didn't have to read another page.

@Shanice- I completely and whole heartedly agree. I just finished it and I feel so...eh. Cara and Aelyx are just so life less, they didnt make this book memorable in any way. The supporting characters were side tracked and stereotyped so awfully, its almost funny. I hope Michelle and Co. find it better. 2/5 stars :(

Aww, I'm sorry that you guys didn't like it. I do agree with the fact that something was missing, and that's why I don't give it a perfect 5 stars rating.

The ending was great, though. I'm psyched for the sequel! Thanks for joining the read along!

YA Bookaholic, even though I really hoped that everyone else was going to have a more positive experience with Alienated, I'm glad there was someone else to confirm what I felt about this book.

However, I'm really glad you enjoyed it much more than we did Michelle!

Thanks for the invite for this read along and despite the fact that I didn't really enjoy the book, I was happy to have been apart of this one as my first read along. :)

I really liked how this book ended however, Cara and Aelyx's relationship didn't seem very deep, I wished it was more developed. I was right in my prediction how Cara would find out the truth without Aelyx confessing it. I really think the sequel will be better because the foundation has already been laid. I feel like something was missing like everyone else has said.


Rating 3.5 stars: there where a few really great moments but a lot it was little lack luster
