I'm a bit surprised that there is no discussion area for helping members recall movies based on salient details (sort of like the folks over at https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/....

If there is and I'm just missing it, I'd appreciate the redirect.

In the mean time....

I saw a film at the TriBeCa Film festival some years ago (2004ish?) that centered on two brothers when their family moved from an inner city area to a more suburban one. The older brother was the main protagonist and a promising high school basketball player, but the younger brother was middle school or younger. The younger brother was basketball crazy as well. He kinda acted like he was black (all his friends had been) and he talked ghetto but it got him in trouble when he used the N__ word at school.

Does anyone recognize the movie I'm talking about? I did an IMDb search amongst the movies I've seen since 2000 with the keyword Basketball and couldn't spot it.

Ugh I swear there was once upon a time a topic of that kind in our group, but didn't live long. This one would do fine now :)

Sorry, that one doesn't sound familiar. Maybe there's a Google feature of "movie plots" or something that would help? I agree, a search engine for that would be great... I can't tell you how many times I Google song lyrics for that song I just can't remember, so having that for a show or movie would be very helpful!
