Jason needed a break from the party. His social side didn't break out like usual and he felt self-consicous and shy again. Everything felt intimidating and overwhelming. It wasn't familiar and he needed an escape.
It seemed to still be drizzling, which means he couldn't find a place outside. He somehow managed to find the House's library, which seemed fitting for his situation. The library was calming, a nice contrast to the bustling parties and cities outside. It was vacant and no one seemed to be inside. Jason took a step inside. He took a moment to admire the vast shelves and space before moving over to a couch. He pulled out his favored phone and headphones and turned them on. Jason closed his eyes and leaned back, enjoying the music. He liked to do this whenever he was stressed and it seemed to become a habit. It was nice.

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) After spending the last half hour in her room unpacking with Lily, Sadie had decided to walk around and explore her new home. Well new home for the summer at least. She walked into the library, it being her last stopped. The library was always one of her favorite places to be. She liked the quiet and solitude of it. Her favorite part though was the smell of books. Sadie had always loved to read one thing her and Lily had in common. Walking farther into the room she noticed a boy about her age on one of the couches. He had his headphones on so she quietly walked over to a chair a little ways away from him and sat down with a book, not wanting to disturb him.

As the song was about to end, Jason felt another presence enter the library. He opened his brown eyes and tilted his headphones down slightly. His gaze landed on a young girl who was quietly reading a book. Not wanting to make things too awkward between the two of them, he lowered the music's volume and sat up in his seat. He pulled down his headphones. "Mm.. Hello," he greeted. Jason noticed that he'd never seen her, which wasn't surprising. But, she wasn't at the party with the other partygoers either. "You new here?" he asks politely. Might as well start some small talk.

message 5: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) At the sound of the guys voice Sadie set aside the book she'd been reading and turned her attention onto him. "Hey," she said in greeting trying to tone down the thickness of her British accent since she knew if she didn't that she sometimes got hard to understand. At his question she nodded, "Yup, my step sister and I just got here bout a half and hour or so." Meeting new people usually went one of two ways for her; either it was really awkward or it was as easy as talking to someone whom might have been an acquiescence or a friend even. She wondered which it would be this time and all the other times she undoubtedly meet new people here in Hawaii over the coarse of her stay.

"I got here last week, so I'm a bit new too," he replied. Jason smiled reassuringly. He motioned towards the closed door. "There's a party going on, but I prefer to stay here for now," he explained. "Don't really know what's going on down there," he shrugged. Jason chuckled. "I've heard it's some dare game."
Jason stopped himself quickly before he could say anymore. He realized he didn't say his name yet. "Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Jason."

message 7: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) She breathed a sigh of relief that Lily did not know about the party that was apparently going on. "I would rather be anywhere but the party." She agreed, "course if my step sister knew about it she would have dragged me there, so glad she doesn't" Partying was more Lily's thing than it was hers. The few parties she been to was because Lily had dragged her to them. "So basically they dare each other to do god only knows what and their probably all drunk to go with it..."she shook her head, "Whoever thought it was a good idea to send a bunch of late teens and young adult to Hawaii for a summer was either crazy or not thinking straight." She could just imagine all the trouble they'd get in their time here. "S'okay, I'm Sapphira." she told him with a grin giving him her actual name instead of the one Lily made up when they were kids because Sapphira had been too hard for her to say at the time.

「 kozue 」 ··ᴘʀᴇss ᴘʟᴀʏ·· (marquessofthefangirls) | 467 comments
"I see..." Jason beams in return. "Nice to meet you then Sapphira," he says. "Sapphira.. You have a nice name. It's very unique," he comments, giving her a small smile. He takes notice at the book sitting on the desk next to her. It was the same book she had just been reading moments ago. "Hey, what are you reading?" he asks, pointing to the book. It looked pretty interesting and he loved book recommendations. When it came to literature, his nerdy side came out. He liked books almost as much as he enjoyed theatre. It was like reading a script with more depth and detail.

message 9: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) She smiled, "Thanks, my parents had boring everyday ordinary names as they said and wanted their kids to have a more unique variety. So mines Sapphira. My younger brothers was Silas and apparently they ran out of unique names because my younger sisters name was Marissa." She stated with a shrug. Thinking about her family made her miss them a lot. Two years had past since the crash and it still never got any easier. Out of habit she had grabbed the locket her mum had given her for her 13th birthday. She shook off her thoughts and turned her attention back to the boy whose name she now knew to be Jason. She grabbed the book he indicated, "To Kill a Mockingbird. Had to read it in the 9th grade and loved it ever since." She was a bit of a nerd that way. Preferred books over people. Well most of the time. Obviously she preferred her friends and family over books, but books also didn't insult you like people did.

「 kozue 」 ··ᴘʀᴇss ᴘʟᴀʏ·· (marquessofthefangirls) | 467 comments
"A classic." Jason nodded in approval. "Yeah, I read it before. Just not in a long time," he frowned. The last he read it was probably in his freshman or sophomore year. The details were a bit fuzzy but he could recognize that title anywhere.
"Say," Jason started. "Do you know any good book recommendations?" He turns a shade of light pink. "I'm looking for a good book to read while I'm here. To fill up any of the free time," he explains. "I'm not sure where to start and you look like a good person to ask." Jason rubs the back of his head.

message 11: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) She nodded, "I read it whenever I get bored and have nothing else to read since its one of my favorites." Honestly finding books to read was getting harder since she read so much she was starting to have trouble finding a book to keep her interest. "Well as for recommendations I guess that would depend on what you like to read." The only person she'd ever recommended a book to was Lily and that was because they liked the same books because they were so alike. "I wish I could spend time reading. I'm surprised I have free time now, but that was because my sister wanted to go to some club called Blaze and she actually let me refuse to go without dragging me there." She shook her head with a grin. As annoying as her friend could be she loved the girl and had to make sure she stayed out of trouble as best as she could.

「 kozue 」 ··ᴘʀᴇss ᴘʟᴀʏ·· (marquessofthefangirls) | 467 comments
Jason laughed, showing his twinkling bright smile. "Yeah, it's hard to find free time now," he admitted honestly. There was a lot to do in Hawaii and it was hard to scrounge up some quiet time.
"I guess I got lucky huh," he thought.
Quickly turning back to the topic, he continued the conversation. "You two sound like a 'Ying-Yang' type of pair," he mused. "You prefer peace and quiet, while she prefers the parties and noise?" Jason falters at the end, as if asking for confirmation. "You balance each other out. That's what makes you two compatible, right..?"

message 13: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) "Well...its not that she necessarily likes noise. Its the fact that for her a party means she can drink and forget what she doesn't want to remember and as much as I hate it I, well I understand why she would want to forget." She replied, "but yeah we do balance each other out in other ways." She just hoped Lily wasn't getting herself into any trouble at the moment. Lily had seemed fine earlier though, even somewhat relaxed, like a burden was lifted off her shoulders. Sapphira knew she felt better not being in New York with all the memories. "Of course with us two she use to be the quieter one. Not to say I was loud or anything, its just she use to hardly ever even talk when I first met her. Then again we were 4 and she lived at the orphanage my parents worked at..." she trailed off quietly remembering how they met. She always felt terrible for the life Lily had been forced to live. Not pity exactly, more like sympathy for the fact that someone like Lily could be forced to live such a crummy life. But ever since her own parents were killed two years ago Sapphira could understand what her friend and now sister was going through.

「 kozue 」 ··ᴘʀᴇss ᴘʟᴀʏ·· (marquessofthefangirls) | 467 comments
Jason nodded. "I see.." he mumbles. "You two sound.. No.. Are very close," he corrects himself. He didn't want to say anymore than that. He was afraid that he might say something wrong and make Sapphira upset. He tried to do that before and it resulted in the other person running off, most likely angry at him. He easily regretted that decision, so he was more careful about certain situations. Jason glanced out the window. It was getting late. He sighed. He had to get ready for tomorrow and his sisters back home were probably waiting for an update about his vacation. Jason smiled apologetically at Sapphira. "I have to get going now," he announced. He grabbed his phone and shoved it into his pocket. "It was nice talking to you, Sapphira. I'll see you around." Jason got up and walked towards the door, giving her a small smile and wave before leaving.

message 15: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) She smiled, "Yeah we are close." She said simply. Hell her and Lily were practically twins. They'd even been told a few times that they were almost the same person. Sapphira followed his gaze to the window and saw how late it was. "Yeah I should probably go too." Yeah go and find Lily and make sure she hasn't gotten into any trouble in the few hours she'd been away. God she hoped not. "It was nice meeting and talking to you too Jason. And yeah maybe you will." she answered with a smile and waved back and him before scooping up her book and heading out herself to find that best friend of hers.

E M M A Tucker pushed open the door to the library, having been shown around by one of the fairly nice people who lived in the house for the summer as well. He had arrived that morning, fresh off the plane and completely jetlagged, ahead a few hours. So far, Tucker had curbed his nervousness, but couldn't help the anxiety building up in his chest. Why had he agreed to come along in the first place? There were lots of kids around here, the young and reckless from what he could tell. He'd already seen making out, as well as alcohol. This was no place for Tucker Mackenzie, rich prep boy with a thing for cleanliness and class. Regardless, he wouldn't go back home just that second. He decided he'd actually give the place a try. Maybe he might enjoy himself.

Tucker closed the library door behind him with a gentle click, noticing the few others in the room. Sighing, he began at one end of the shelves, his fingertips brushing along the book spines. He had come here to get some peace and quiet, already irritated by the squealing of pretty girls and the smell of teenagers. This was his first time in a living situation with "normal" people as he called it, the ones that weren't so priviledged and had money like him. He figured he'd be spending the majority of his time alone, probably in his room or on the beach, so a novel or two would keep the Ivy League student happy. Tucker didnt pay much attention to where he was going, wandering te shelves half heartedly in search of a good classic.

message 17: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) "Lesbians...fighting...and it's only been like, a week! I could already be back at school and closer to getting the hell away from people...I wouldn't be surprised if they snuck drugs into this place...no security...no order..." Charlotte mumbled to herself, ranting on about all of the events that had taken place over the course of time they'd been at the House. It was rather overdone in Charlie's mind, but there were cute boys and free food, so it was alright.
A silky floral tank top covered her black and white checkered bikini, which she had taken to wearing almost 24/7. They were in Hawaii, after all. She wore jean shorts as well, which were unnoticeable as the tank top was rather long. Or perhaps the shorts were very short. Either way, you couldn't see them.
Charlie had returned to the library, where she had been searching for something else to take up her time. The people that she met the first few days were all already in relationships and such, and any guy she took a liking to was either gay, taken, or had a bitchy sister, or any combination of the three.
She sighed, grabbing a random book of the shelf and flipping through the pages and walking around the oak bookshelves.
Charlie collided with another figure, which she first took to be another shelf. However, she looked up, and it definitely wasn't.
"Well, aren't you cute. And so nicely dressed. The name's Charlie." She tucked a strand of dirty blonde hair behind her ear, sticking her hand out for him to shake.

message 18: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Tucker had turned the corner, only to collide with some shorter figure while reading the back cover of a book he had found so rudely left on the floor. People had no respect for education these days. Tucker was startled to feel the force ram his chest, his first reaction wanting to snap at the offender. However, looking up, he saw it was a lady. He would be polite. "Pardon, miss," tucker apologized, his blue eyes wide with apology. Had he hurt her at all? It was a bit embarassing to have one of the first people he met in the House be someone he practically ran over. His eyes reflected with the light from the lights above installed in the ceiling, briefly looking the girl once over.

She was pretty, what with her mature features and blonde hair, not to mention the flirtatious look she had about her. Tucker offered a small shy smile, his fair complexion pinkenning at the cheeks at her compliment. First nice thing he had heard all day. "Thank you," tucker snorted, subconsciously running a hand through his hair and glancing down at his clothes. He had chosen something fairly simple, failing miserably to try to fit in with the Hawaiian theme in a dark chambray button down with white tiny palm trees printed across with a white pocket, his hair neatly styled after the airport, some beige chinos, and a pair of navy blue boat shoes and a red trim. The classic prep. "Tucker Mackenzie," he introduced himself meekly, shaking the girls hand briefly before retuning his hands to his side. "What are you doing in here?" He raised a blonde eyebrow, a bit curious as to why someone in a bathing suit would wear such attire to the library.

dany (elothwen) Samantha placed her book on the table near her, no longer caring for it. Not that she did anyway- Pride and Prejudice? Read too many times. Besides, books about women in the 19th century were overrated, even modernly written.
"I'm looking for something to read, because I don't feel like watching girls kissing or guys groping minors. And yeah, I noticed you looking at my clothes. It's not like I'm going to put on a suit or something. It's hot and we're in Hawaii. There's a beach right outside. Just in case, you know? But anyway, back to you- I assume you're looking for books as well. I haven't seen you around. Did you just recently arrive here?"

((sorry I'm writing and doing a few other roleplays right now))

E M M A ((All good!))

Tucker took note of Charlie's book title, shrugging his shoulders. It was a boring book, in his opinion. Literature before the 20th century usually wasnt worth his time. His blonde eyebrow arched in surprise at her words, understanding exactly what she was talking about. In a way, he felt a new respect for the tanktop clad young woman. At least he wasnt the only one uninterested in that stuff. "I get that... The kids are a bit out of control here," tucker sighed in disgust. He gnawed on the inside of his cheek at Charlie's logic, noticing how talkative the girl was. He surprisingly didnt mind it, yearning for company after such a tense plane ride and being so far from home. "I bet the beach is nice..." Tucker murmured, kicking himself for being so uninteresting. It was just Tucker. "The same as you, wanted to avoid all that nonsense outside," he shivered, grimacing. "I arrived this morning, can't wait for the summer to end," tucker admitted with a bit of embarrassment, straightening his clothes as a habit.

message 21: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) "Sorry," Charlotte groaned, knowing that she had said a mouthful once again, the same way she did in middle school, high school, and everywhere in between. "I get carried away...but to answer your implied question, yes, the beach is rather nice. Too bad it doesn't rain more often in Hawaii. It rained all the time in New York. I love rain..." Charlie sighed, staring out the tall and wide window that was across from them. The sun bore down giving skin cancer to all of the beachgoers, the blue sea's waves lapping against the shore. The water may have seemed calm from Charlie's position, but she knew it wasn't. It never was. The ocean was full of terrible things, including people. In her opinion, anyway.
She turned her attention back to Tucker, taking mental notes on the way he held himself, which could later elaborate further on his personality. Charlotte was quite good at that.

message 22: by E M M A (new)

E M M A
Tucker shook his head frantically wide-eyed, not having to have offended Charlie or disapprove of how conversational she seemed to be. It was nice to be talked to by someone decent, someone who didnt cling on him for his money or looks. "It's not a problem," Tucker insisted, leaning against the book shelf beside him with the paperback forgotten under his arm. He nodded slowly with Charlie, taking note to get down to the beach and maybe enjoy a little sun later on. A little Vitamin C wouldn't kill him, right? Then Charlie really caught his attention. "New York?" He repeated, a small recognizing smile playing on his lips. "I live there," tucker mused. In a place like New York City, you hardly saw the same people twice. "I miss the cold, as well as rain," Tucker agreed, dragging his fingers through his neatly styled hair. He followed er gaze out the window, not able to help but let his eyes glance back at Charlie. Tucker knew he had a little crush, but refused to admit to it. Love would only bring trouble.

message 23: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) "I guess we have a lot in common, then," replied Charlotte, smirking. "You ever been down here? In Hawaii, I mean. Before this I'd never even left New York. Not that New York is anything short of interesting; I've seen so many odd things there, I probably would have never left. That sounded a lot less boring in my head..." She trailed off, and Charlie felt her face get a little pink. She cleared her throat. "But back to you."
She looked down at her shirt, smoothing out the fabric and brushing some hair from her face.

((Sorry it's so short I'm so distracted right now! German is so hard to learn :( ))

message 24: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Tucker shook his head, his eyesglancing behind Charlie as some people left the library. "I've travelled plenty, but hawaii's somewhere I've neve been before," Tucker agreed. His modelling career flew him to the ends of earth, from London, to Los Angeles, to Milan, to Rio. He had been in every continent, excluding Antarctica. It was strange how even though Hawaii was a popular attraction, e had never bothered to visit until now, in his twenties. Tucker laughed light at her embarrassment, thinking nothing of it. Her cheeks flushed a light pink, and he returned a gentle smile. "You're not boring," he promised, pushing himself away from the book shelf and standing upright. He tucked the book back in a shelf, nodding to the one Charlie had left on the table. "Are you taking that one?" He questioned, the silence of the library overwhelming him. Maybe a walk on the beach would make it less awkward, distract his mind from Charlie and his silly little crush on the talkative blonde.

message 25: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) Charlotte raised an eyebrow, picking up the book. "No, I'm not. If you don't mind me asking, where have you been? You don't look the type. I wouldn't even have guessed you were from New York. Montana, maybe...I'm sorry, that was rude."
Charlie groaned, placing the book on the shelf behind her, figuring there wasn't any order in the books, the same way there was no order in the rest of the house.
Sighing, she continued, "Thanks for not calling me boring, but can you really know? For all you know, I could talk about 18th century poets to people I get close with." Charlotte often joked and failed horribly around people who she felt awkward around. This was obviously one of those times.

message 26: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Tucker was a bit surprised at Charlie's questioning, scoffing when she mentioned Montana. Wasnt that where hillbillies and potatoes or something came from? "I was born and raised in New York, been to foreign countries for work at a month at a time, sometimes even more..." Tucker explained, gesturing with a flourish of his hand that they should walk. He ont hoped he could keep this one, someone who saw him for him. "Just my type," tucker joked with a wink, actually smiling for once. He wasnt too shy with Charlie, as she made him feel at ease with her quirkiness and habit for speech. "Why Montana...?" Tucker muttered under his breath, obsessing over his appearance. Was it the shirt? Oh, maybe the hair. Hillbillies had weird hair, but he refused to believe that he looked like a Montanan. A true gentleman as always, Tucker pushed open the door and held it at his fingertips for the blonde to exit first, before he followed. Outside, it was another story. He could hear swearing down the hall, and obnoxious squealing laughter.

(( shall we bring another person in for some drama?? I need some drama today))

message 27: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) ((perhaps, but what would you like to happen?))

"A working man?" Charlotte said sarcastically, walking out the door, ignoring the sounds of possible intercourse, laughter, and bad words. "If it doesn't offend you, what do you do for...work? Like, I can only think of "archaeology" when it comes to traveling the world, and I think you're a bit young for that."
Charlie raised an eyebrow, waiting for his answer. She had only assumed Montana because he seemed rather quiet at first glance, and that's what Montana was. Quiet. Only 1 million people in the whole state, whereas New York City had a total of 8.3 million. Just in the city.

message 28: by E M M A (new)

E M M A ((Not exactly sure :D invite whoever, someone on often like the peopl on the house thread))

Tucker was taken aback by Charlie's skeptics that he was someone who worked. Well of course. Was she one of those types that used all daddy's money? He followed behind her blocking out the houses noises, wishing he could slap the girl who was screaming at someone else in the kitchen. Settle it elsewhere, he thought bitterly. "Why are you so skeptical that I work?" Tucker mused, a curious smile on his lips. It was about unusual, yes. "Archeology, I wouldn't be caught dead doing that stuff... Just a bunch of old rocks and dead things," he shrugged, following aimlessly behind Charlie around the house like some lost puppy. "I... I model," tucker said slowly, realizing how Charlie might react. It sounded like a complete prissy thing to do for a living, but Tucker enjoyed what he did. When he graduated college, his father was inviting him in to the multi millionaire construction company his grandfather had started. "What about you, you don't do anything)?"

message 29: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) "I'm not skeptical! I just wanted to know what you did." Charlotte couldn't help but grin a little when he said he modeled, but she wasn't being mean. It was just...humorous, somehow.
"No, I don't do anything right now. I used to write for my school papers, but I'm not in school anymore. I want to be an author. What do you model? For magazines? Naked? Will I ever know?" It was somewhat a rhetorical question. Somewhat.
Charlotte wasn't the type to hold back certain comments when she wasn't too friendly with someone, and while sometimes people were surprised, they quickly got used to it.

message 30: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Tucker shrugged in disbelief, rolling his eyes at her excuse. She was grinning now, oh she probably thought he was a pansie. Most prep boys were, but the Mackenzie preferred to be seen as a man. Not a pansie. "An author, eh? Got any books yet?" Tucker mused, tucking his fingertips in his pockets, his footsteps softly echoing on the wooden floors. Before he could even answer Charlie's first question, her other caught him off guard. Naked? Why did she want to know? Sure, he had done a few underwear lines, but he wouldn't mention it. That would be a wee bit awkward, innhisnopinion. "I-I model for Ford Models, it's one of the biggest in the world... I model for whoever books me, I've done too many to count," he shrugged, becoming slightly timid on the subject of his work. "No, not naked, dear," he corrected er with embarrassment. Charlie's bold questioning had startled him, but he was beginning to get used to it. Somewhat.

message 31: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I don't really mind that you're a model, and it's none of my business, anyway. But no, nothing published. I've written some things, though. Kept in Google Drive. I'm the only one that's ever read them, so I can't be too sure that I'm good, but I'm fairly certain. If that doesn't sound arrogant, which it probably does...ranting again, sorry."
The pair were just walking down the long, winding hallway now, sounds of chatter and maybe some crying coming from behind certain doors. She suddenly began wondering if the people at the resort were chosen at random, or the company picked certain people. Charlotte would bet on the former, but if it was the latter she was interested in why they picked her, and not her neighbor, or the most popular girl in her senior year.

Tucker shook his head at Charlie, taking the whole thing lightly. He learned not to take anything the blonde said too seriously, she just said what was on her mind. "Well that's good, you don't mind," he said sarcastically sarcastic as they walked along the hallways to get out of the house. "Post them up on a website or something, get some feedback," he encouraged strongly. If someone had a passion or talent, he didnt see the point in hiding out. "Don't worry about it, I enjoy your talking," tucker admitted. A redhead popped out of nowhere in front of them, and he caught Charlie's arm. Too late, Charlie had already run in to the girl. He guessed Charlie never really paid attention where she was going.

message 35: by dany (new)

dany (elothwen) Charlie shrugged. "I wouldn't trust posting them anywhere where people on the internet can see them. That's kind of defeating the purpose. Anyone could steal them, and the excuse "whatever you put on the internet isn't yours anymore" would work for them nicely. Maybe I'll show them to you sometime?" It was more of an offering than rhetorical question.
Even when Tucker grabbed her arm, Charlotte didn't notice the girl. She was usually too interested in whatever she was doing to notice anything ahead, and things ahead usually ended up being people, unfortunately. She looked up after running into her, looking her up and down quickly before apologizing.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going..." And neither was she..., she thought.

Tucker didnt protest, murmuring in agreement. He had forgotten that people had no respect on the internet, that they did whatever they pleased just because they could. Plagiarism was an absolute no in Tucker's mind, especially having been drilled about it throughout his whole school career. "That's true... When we get back to New York, go to a publishing company," he suggested, shrugging nonchalantly. For the New York publishers, accepting books was difficult. They'd reject story after story in discontent, say they needed something more original. He would know, only because he had an ambitious aunt who tried so hard to publish her children's book. "Really-? Charlie, that'd be great...!" Tucker brightened, offering her a smile.

Tucker stared at the redheads long vibrant hair, finding himself in a situation where he was with two pretty people. You'd think he was used to it by then, posing with the worlds most beautiful women, but no. "Sorry," tucker added softly, even if he hadnt physically ran into the girl. Tucker left it Charlie to talk, his quiet side coming back all too quickly. He didnt like conversations with parties of more than one. Not when he didnt know these people. So tucker stood their like an idiot, behind Charlie's arm.

dany (elothwen) Charlotte pushed some hair from her face, its shortness often getting in the way, despite what others might think. Hair always got in the way, no matter how long it was.
"I've heard they're really hard on people. From blogs and stuff. But yeah, maybe I'll just get some betas first. Betas are people that read over others' stories, usually friends. And from what I can tell, you'd want to do that?" Charlotte chuckled, turning back to the other girl.
"I'm Charlotte, and that's Tucker. We were looking for books, separately, but not anymore, no. Why? Were you looking for anything in particular?" Yeah, that came of snottily and Charlie knew it.

Tucker was a bit surprised at Charlie's tone with the redhead, noticing how annoyed she seemed to be reacting to just a little bump in at the library. There were no annoying librarians, which was a relief, but they still talked in hushed whispers. Charlie's voice had a sweet tone to it, an innocent one at that, and he glanced between the two to make sure nothing was going on. Women were just so hard to read sometimes, it didnt always make sense. They could be at war right then, and he wouldn't notice. Avalon, her name was. It was a unique name, for a unique person. It wasnt often you found someone with bright orange hair. "Hello, Avalon," tucker offered politely, shaking the girls hand firmly. He didnt say much of anything else, relying on Charlie to speak.

dany (elothwen) Once Tucker had dropped his hand, Charlie took Avalon's and shook it as well. "You have an interesting name. That's an island in Arthurian legend, right? If you know, that is."
If they wanted to mess around, why didn't they just go downstairs and hang out with all the other delinquents? Charlie thought, making a visible face that said something like 'I am surrounded by idiots'.
"But yeah, we were the only ones looking for books, probably," she finished, wondering why Tucker had opened up so quickly to her but retreated when another person came into the picture.

Tucker ruffled his hair with both his hands, checking his reflection with his phone casually so as not to seem like a narcissist. Each hair was in place, and his collar was nearly folded over. As a model, looks began to really become noticeable to you, every flaw standing out like a sore thumb. He didnt want to make a bad image for himself, especially with a large campaign for TommyHilfiger in place for when he got back for the summer. A tarnished record wasn't what he needed, not with his career in the picture. Tucker pretended not to react to Charlie's mood, a bit confused why the two girls seemed to be having an unspoken argument. He was silent after Avalons question, feeling a little uncomfortable now with not one, but two strangers. Tucker pretended to be immersed in flipping through a novel lying in its side on the shelf, before replacing it in the shelf. "Classics, a good read," he shrugged, his words limited. What had he gotten himself in to? Tucker was just a quiet thing, not one for too much conversation ven with those he was most comfortable with.

dany (elothwen) "I was just browsing. You know, trying to get away from all the idiots downstairs. If it's okay to ask, when did you get here? I don't think I'd recognize you, anyway." Charlotte gave her a smarmy smile. The other girl's facial expressions seemed like she didn't want to be there, talking to them. So why should she be nice? She wasn't really a nice person, anyway. She was just polite. Sometimes.
Outside the window, there were more people than ever on the beach, despite the sun threatening to dip low beyond the horizon. People were weird.

((How about they both think the other is being rude and that's how drama starts?))

Tucker generally just stayed quiet, listening to the conversation without contributing to it. Honestly, what was there to say? Both Avalon and Charlie were nice girls, and he was beginning to not mind their company. He allowed Charlie to do all the talking, his eyes wandering the library. As usual, they had learned not to make too much of an effort to include him in the conversation, seeing as he didnt talk much if at all. It's what made him so observant, noticing every little detail from the way Charlie's r's sounded to how Avalon spoke with an air of grace. The library was silent, excepting the two girls voices wafting over the shelves. He was no longer really paying attention, leaning against a bookshelf and staring at a giant piece of art that was stuck on one of the walls. Abstract art; he'd never under stand it.

dany (elothwen) Charlotte looked back at Tucker for a moment, waiting for him to answer, but when he did not, she turned back towards Avalon. "I've been here for about a week, but he just arrived today. And let me tell you, I've met about one decent person. Maybe you'd do better down in the den, with all the others? But that's just my opinion," Charlotte said this with a smile, but her intentions were anything but nice. She just didn't have a good feeling about this girl, assuming she was just another drunk hoe like all the others downstairs. And who knew? She probably was.

Tucker flinched at Charlie's tone, surprised with how much tension was building up between the two. Why couldn't they befriends, they'd be living here all summer, for crying out loud. The blondes blue eyes followed each speaker, holding his breath. The two weren't yelling, but even that was better than the sassy attitude between the two. What was going on? Why were they fighting, why were they so disrespectful to each other? Tucker decided to speak up as things got terse, wanting to halt the argument while he could. "Avalon, don't take much offense to it, it's just how Charlie is," he said, his face pink as he felt both girls eyes boring into his face. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything. You weren't supposed to interrupt a girls argument. Ever.

dany (elothwen) Charlotte was a bit taken aback at the fact that Tucker had actually said something, considering he'd been hanging around behind her the whole conversation. She stared at him for a moment, raising an eyebrow. Finally she turned towards Avalon again. "Excuse you. You're in the library, so why not continue searching for your books? But I think I agree with Tucker. It's just the way I am- outspoken."
She pursed her lips, staring Avalon right in the eye and waiting for her to respond. She didn't have time for this.
