Quinton was so bored. And it was so hot. He felt the need to do something active so he went down to the local pool. He figures he can just make it rain if too many people were there
Kara was floating around the pool on her back, kicking her feet lazily every now and then to keep herself afloat. She was tired of being cooped up in camp with all the good kids, yes she was a good kid but it got tiring
((It's cool))Kara felt the ripples in the water and looked around to find the source. She saw a guy around her age and went back to floating.
((We went exactly an hour though because we got kicked out of our room so that's good we could have gone on forever))
He didn't notice her he sets to work swimming back and forth. He didn't have to come up for air very often because he swam so frequently. He goes from wall to wall.
((Only 4 people showed but it was still great- we got a lot done I'm really excited for this group))
Kara got out and sat on the edge of the pool, her legs still in the water as she watched him. She kept track on her phone how long it took him to do laps as well as how long he could stay under the water.
He still didn't notice and swims for about 30 minutes before pulling himself out of the pool to take a break and get a drink. He grabs a towel putting it over his shoulder
"So let me guess, you go to camp too" Kara projected her voice so that he would hear her with no problem.
"Camp?" he asks curiously and turns to look at her
"Come on, you cannot tell me that you aren't a Mystic after that" she told him gesturing to the pool.
"Except if that were true you would have inquired as to what Mystics were, instead by trying to deny it you actually confirmed it" she told him smirking.
"Well aren't you bright." He says crossing his arms," Is your power being obnoxious?" he smirks
"Quite the opposite. Fire to be exact" she told him summoning a small fireball in her hand. They were the only two at the pool so it was safe to do so.
He smirks and puts a raincloud over her head and makes it rain enough to put out the flame,"That's cute." he says and dives back into the pool
She chuckled and squeezed the water out of her hair. "Can you change forms?" she asked him curiously.
"Change forms? Like into animals? Nah. When I was a kid I wanted to be able to change into one but the talent never came."
"Huh. So then what is your power?" she asked wondering if his power was so great that he just didn't have the ability to change becuase of balance.
"Oh come on. You know mine" she complained
He smiles,"Maybe it'll teach you Togo around telling strangers your powers then."
She rolled her eyes and set her hands in the water, making the entire pool bubble as it got hot.
"Hey!" He says. He quickly gets out of the pool.
"You shouldn't be mean to the girl who could boil you alive" she shrugged
"I'll hit you with lightning next time you try." he says,"Now come on it's hot enough outside."
"Ha, so you have control of weather." She smiled and stood up grabbing her towel as she dried off
He rolls his eyes,"Yeah yeah you guessed it congrats."
"That's a really cool power to have" she told him making the water cool back off again.
She laid down in one of the lounge chairs and pulled her book out of her bag and began to read
She watched him every now and then. Her main thoughts were wondering what camp he was from, and then why he had come here.
"What camp are you from?" he asks floatinf
"Good. What about you?" She asked
"Ahh. What's it like over there?" She asked curiously
"Seriously? A whole camp of bad people am you don't have any fun?" She asked skeptically
He shrugs,"I guess it's kind of interesting sometimes."
"We'll what do you guys do for fun?" She asked
He shrugs,"I leave and swim, or run, or something like that."
She nodded. "So you are athletic, alright." She nodded and went back to her book
"I read mainly. I do train a lot, I've figured out how to use my fire ability when I'm changed, which is nifty" she shrugged
