He stays in a small house in the city. It looks big from the outside but inside, it's stuffy and messy.

Avalon walked into the house. It was nice house but inside was messy. She looked around. It was dark and she waited for Nathaniel to come in too."Do you have any object which belonged to the person you want to find? I need it for the tracking magic" Avalon said and took of her coat. It was too hot here.
"Sorry for the mess." he said, picking up some plates and throwing them into an already full sink. "And yes I do." he picked up a few books from the threadbare sofa. "Sit down. I'll just get it." he walked inside and was in there for five minutes before coming out with a box. "This is it." he said.
Avalon sat on the sofa. She waited for Nathaniel while he was in one of the rooms. It was messy house, but it looked comfortable. She wondered if he lives alone in this big house. It was a bit sad when you couldn't share a home like this with someone. He returned after a while with a box. Avalon looked it curiously. She waited for Nathaniel to show her the object which she had to track.
Nathaniel slowly opened the box. Inside it was a ring. The ring had a very large diamond that sparkled even in the dim light of the room. "This is it." he said. "This is the thing that belongs to her." he took the ring out of the boxand handed it to her. "Can youbtrack her with this?"
Avalon took the ring. It was really beautiful. "Of course I can." she said and closed her eyes. She had to concentrate if she wanted to track the girl.
Ava whispered a spell and the ring started to sparkle. The whole room was illuminated by red sparks. She searched for a mark left by the girl who owned the ring. Ava could see thousands silhouettes rushing through her head. And finally she saw a sparkling red silhouette.
Avalon opened her eyes and put the ring on the table.
"I found her. She just passed Blackfriars bridge" Ava said and felt a little dizzy. She had to rest. The tracking spell tired her.
"Are you sure?" he asked. He could not believe it. After all this searching, she was right here. He just had to walk a little way. "Can you come with me?" he asked. "We have to go there now. I have to get what she has from her." he wore his coat-it was cold outside- and nearly ran out of the door.
"Okay ..."Ava started but he has already ran outside. She breathed heavily out and grabbed her coat. Then she ran after him trying to catch him. Goddamn, this boy was really fast!"Wait! Who is she? Why are you searching for her?" Ava shouted and put on her coat. It was raining again. God, she hated the weather in London.
He stopped. He wanted her to come with him. "She's my sister." he said. "My elder sister. She ascended into a shadowhunter and that's how I know so much about the magical world. She used to show me things before...." he paused and shook his head. "It doesn't matter. We just have to find her now." he started running again, at a slower pace though.
Avalon ran after him. They were passing the main street. "What are you going to do when you find her?"Ava shouted through the rain.
Avalon felt something in her chest when they approached the Bridge. Like there was something magical and unnatural. There was a dark shadow in the middle of the bridge. Ava took a deep breath and looked at Nathaniel.
"I....I don't know." he said, stopping. He was at a loss. He could see the figure on the bridge and knew it was his sister. He wondered what she was doing here. Ever since she had become a shadowhunter, she had hardly ventured out of the institutes. "Can you do a binding spell?" he asked Ava slowly.
Avalon nodded and swallowed slowly. Then she closed her eyes and ignored the cold rain and the strong wind. Ava started to whisper a spell and opened her eyes. They were shining with red light and when she finished the spell, the girl on the bridge stopped.
"Ready..." Ava said and blinked few times."Äre you coming?" she asked and ran to the girl.
Nathaniel followed Ava, quickly catching up with her. "How long will it last?" he asked, hoping the spell would last for long enough for him to get what he wanted. He could see his sister standing stiffly by the side of the bridge. His teeth were chattering. He was very worried about what would happen.
Avalon felt a little dizzy. The first magic was too powerful and she hadn't rest. "Long enough," Ava answered. When she looked at him, she understood he was worried. She stopped for a second and tried to smile. "Hey, everything is going to be okay, I'll help you, don't worry."
Ava stopped right in front of the girl and took a look at her.
Ruby was very pretty. She had gotten most of her looks from her mother, like Nathaniel. Both of them had inherited her dark hair and smoky eyes. Now though, she looked scared. Her hair was whipping around her face and her eyes were wide with fear. She looked at her brother. "Nate?" she asked. "What are you doing here?"
Avalon looked at the girl. She was really pretty, but Ava remainded herself that Nathaniel's sister is Shadowhunter and they were cruel, no matter how pretty they were.Avalon smiled. "Hello-"she started but Nathaniel looked her so she shut up.
Ava bit her upper lip and waited for someone to start the conversation.
"I...." he was at a loss for words. It had been so many years since he had met his sister that he did not know what to say to her. She looked sad, betrayed. "I needed to find you." he said. "I took the help of a warlock. I....need the blade you have." he said. "The one that you use instead of your runed blade."
Adam was waiting on the other side of the bridge. He checked the time. Ruby was late. That was unusual for her.Maybe he had to cross the bridge. Maybe she was waiting him on the other side.
Adam turned around and looked around... There was someone on the bridge... Three silhouettes were standing in the middle and one of them looked just like Ruby. She was surrounded by a girl and a boy.
Adam grabbed his blade and started running.
Ruby looked at him with some shock. "Nate, what have you been getting yourself into? Why do you want the blade?" "I can't tell you." Nate said. "I just need it for something very important and also...I wanted to yptalk to you." his fists clenched together. "Yoi haven't even come to meet me since you became a shadowhunter. Not even once. I still need you in my life." Ruby looked at Avalon. "So why have you made her put a binding spell on me?" she asked.
Avalon swallowed slowly. She could see the fear Ruby felt. But Ava wanted to help Nathaniel, she didn't know why, she just felt like that's the right thing."I'm sorry," Avalon started, "We have to be sure that you won't run away." Then she heard the sound of quick steps, coming right behind them.
She turned around. It could be any passenger, passing the bridge.
But it wasn't... It was a boy carrying a seraph blade and running towards them.
Nathaniel saw the boy coming too. He quickly stepped aaide as the boy ran towards them and turned to Ruby. "Who is that?" he shouted, seeing that the boy was carrying a Nephilim blade. His eyes widened in shock. Ruby struggled against her invisible bonds. "Adam." she whispered to herself. "No." she screamed. "Don't hurt him."
Adam saw Ruby's face and after a second heard her words. He stopped and looked around. "Ruby! What's going on?" he shouted angrily. Then he turned around and looked at Nathaniel. "You are Ruby's brother, right?"
After that he moved his gaze towards Avalon and froze. "What are you doing here?"
Avalon's face was pale. She didn't know that Adam knows Nathaniel's sister. Ava knew Adam was a Shadowhunter but didn't expect to see him again in London. She thought he lives in New York after his parents' death.
Nathaniel saw Avalon's face go pale. "You know him." he said, almost accusingly. "Who is he?" he looked at both Avalon and Ruby, waiting for an answer. He had not known who Ruby had ascended because of but now things were starting to make a little bit of sense. "He's the one because of whom I ascended." Ruby said, looking on the verge of a breakdown. She looked at Adam. "You know the warlock?"
Adam smiled coldly and put away his blade. "Oh, yes, she tried to kill me. Twice." Avalon blushed immediately. She blinked few times and tried to hide her red face with her scarf.
"She tried to kill me after her friend killed my parents." Adam was distant and cold.
"I'm sorry..." Ava whispered, but Adam interrupted her.
"So, what are you doing here, Nathaniel? And why you made a binding spell on Ruby?" Adam asked ignoring Avalon's words.
"I came here because of my sister." Nate said, wondering how the shadowhunter knew his name. "I needed to find her." he did not mention the part about wanting her blade and willed Ruby not to mention it either. He looked at Avalon with a newfound fear in his eyes. "You used to kill people." he said it as an accusation,. Ruby turned to Adam, wanting to say something. He had never told her this.
Avalon was getting paler if that was possible. She breathed heavily and opened her mouth to speak."I...am not a killer." Ava caught Nate's gaze. "There was a time I hurt a lot of people. And I'm sorry for that. Believe me, I won't hurt you."
"Why did you need to find her? Couldn't you just come and visit her in the Institute?" Adam asked. He was looking at Nate, ignoring Ruby's gaze.
"I did not know where." she was. Nate said, his voice rising by a few octaves. "I don't know where the institute is. I haven't even heard of it till now." he could see Ruby looking at Adam and realized that his sister did not know this oarticular news about his family either. He looked at Avalon, his eyes burning. "Once someone kills, they're always killers."
"I have not killed anyone." Ava's voice raised. "Yes, I tried to hurt Adam, but as you see, he is alive!" Avalon was angry and wanted just to go home, if her brother's home could be called hers. Adam laughed and looked at Nathaniel with a big smile.
"That was cute, though" Ava looked at him with pure hate. "However, your sister is a Shadowhunter and you even don't care where she lives now? Tell me the truth, Nathaniel, what do you want from Ruby?"
Nathaniel closed his eyes. This was getting too much for him. "She is my sister." he said. "If you have a doubt about that, you can ask her." he glanced at het and was relieved to see that she nodded. "I just...." he gave her a hard look. "I wanted to talk to her because after falling in love, she never gave a single thought for me. I haven't talked to her for so mny years and..." he swallowed. "She woukd not tell me where she lived because I'm just a mundane." out of the corner of his eye, he could see that his sister's eyes were glistening wirh tears.
Adam's smile faded. "That was dramatic," he said. He looked at Ruby and breathed out. "Fine, talk with her. We will leave you in peace." He nodded and smiled to Ruby. Then he walked to Ava."Come on, pinky, let's leave them alone." Adam grabbed her forearm and pulled her after him.
"What do you want from Nate's sister?" Ava asked while walking behind Adam.
Adam smiled again. Maybe it was his habbit to smile a lot. "I love her, why?"
"You don't. I know you, Adam, you love no one but yourself."
"People change, you know." Adam answered and put his hands into his pocket.
"Maybe. But you are not one of those people" Avalon answered coldly and looked at the dark sky.
Ruby stared after them. Her eyebrows were raised. It seemed these two had a history. She realized that the binding spell was gone. She flexed her arms a couple of times, avoiding Nate's gaze and then finally looked at him. "I'm sorry." she said. "I'm really sorry Nate." "I still haven't forgiven you." he said a little harshly. "Talking to you was an excuse. I need your blade. I know it's not a shadowhunter one. I've read enough legends to know that." "Nate..." she bit her lip. "I...I really am sorry." He didnot reply. He just gave her an appraising look.
"Why did you came here? I know you try to stay away from mundanes. After what happened with Michel." Adam looked at Ava and she swallowed.Ava was far away from her comfort zone while talking with Adam. That reminded her of the old times with him.
"It's none of your business." Ava answered.
Adam stopped and caught her hand, pulling her near him.
"Yes, you know me, but don't forget I know you too." His eyes were dark, illuminated by the street lights.
Avalon pulled her hand back.
"When will you tell your girlfriend that you are half-warlock?"
