Jason Koivu Hi guys!

I'll be visiting Vermont in October and I was wondering if Bear Pond Books would be worth adding to my list for my trip. My wife and I will mostly be in Burlington, but I thought about checking out Montpelier if it seemed worth it (no offense meant, I really don't know much about the area). And if you have any other suggestions/recommendations, they'd be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jason

Kim Ward | 11 comments As a book lover, I am biased, but yeah - Montpelier - as well as Bear Pond Books - is totally worth it! We have one of the prettiest state houses I've seen in New England and if you come to Montpelier, you could always stop at the Ben & Jerry's Factory in Waterbury for a tour (and some free ice-cream). If you like maple, there's Morse Farms, as well as Bragg Farm, and Hubbard Park, which is right in the center of downtown Montpelier, is a great place to stop and take a walk in the woods. I've had lots of customers come into Bear Pond Books while traveling and say how much they love us! Many come back year after year to visit and they always stop to see us.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I'd forgotten about the Ben & Jerry's. My wife will be all over that. Bear Pond Books looks like a wonderful place. Perhaps I'll see you when I stop by. :)
