Perfect - I downloaded the audio and starting this book today!

cool I started it this afternoon, but I had to slow it down a bit as she speaks really fast lol.
I think it's going to be a really quick read I'm past chapter 6 already and didn't even realise!
I'm out tonight though at a party so I'll give you time to catch up and we can have a chat about it :•D

Hey, I'm caught up. You're right, the first few chapters really just breeze by. The beginning was a little slow for me to catch on but it seems to be picking up now and I have to admit it was hard for me to put down. (I stopped at chapter 10.). Simon seems like an interesting guy. Looking forward to seeing how his character develops.

okay I had a bit of a lay in today and had a listen, got quite far though, not sure where you are?
I'm up to chapter 22 lol they are so quick!
I'm enjoying this now although I still don't like the narrator much.
I'm not liking where thus is going though, The Clan??? sounds a bit dodgy to me, and what's with the teacher Mr Gerrick? very odd?

I'm on chapter 19 so far.. I'm listening also & am still getting used to this narrator too. She's sooooooo flat...

I do not like or trust simon - I can't believe he is her BF! I understand she needs to learn what she can from Simon, but ugh!! What is she thinking?!

I know right!! he was very quick to be brushing her hair away and kissing her, 5 mind after they met.
I know the narration is soo flat, I had to slow her down to 0.9 it's a little better now as she actually takes a breath lol.

Ya... Insta-love always bugs me! Plus, the dude is such a slime ball anyway.. Nothing he has shown or done proves he deserves any degree of trust.

Just got introduced to the "clan"... I don't blame her for wanting to be normal. She knows how to blend now, she should just RUN away from Simon and everything creepy!!!

Our company left and I'm finally able to get back to the story! I'm on chapter 29.. I got to do the happy dance celebrating Raf's return for about 5 minutes... Sigh... :(

Now they are looking for Lainie.. I'm just trying to figure out who is good and who is bad... I'm all over the place with this...the clan...Simon...

You're probably done with the book by now! Haha!

Oh geez... The prison break out... YES! Quite the prodigy, isn't she?!! HaHa! I had trouble making the leap in her sudden expertise with no training - crazy!

I finished the book this morning. Not sure how long your commute is but you sound like you are almost done too, so I'll just shut up until then :)

You probably can guess I was happy with the ending :) Outside of the far-fetched things we discussed, I have to say the story held my interest and kept me wanting to listen "a little bit more" to see what was going to happen.

So all in all, I'd probably have to give it:
entertainment value -> *****
feasibility -> ***
narration -> **
characters & likability -> ****

How did you end up liking it overall?

I gave it 4☆ for the story but 2.5☆for narration.

I saw Closed Hearts/Book-2 is on audio as of 4/7/14. Wonder if they will also offer Free Souls/Book-3 also?
