What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

trying to remember the name and the author to this book I read about 2 or 3 years ago. The book is about this guy and girl that were meant to be, obviously LOL, the guy lives in an old refurbished underground missle silo. Also, his soul or conscience turns into a like colorful mist when he goes to bed. The girl is in some sort of danger and the guy keeps her in his room in his level of the missile silo. Him and all his buddies that live in the missile silo each have their own level of the silo where they live but they also have other levels where they commune. I read this book such a long while ago. I cannot remember anything else and I'm so sorry. I just remember I really liked this book and I'd like to read it again but I can't remember the author, I can't remember the title, and I can't remember what the cover looks like at all. I appreciate everyone's help and I can't wait to see if anyone else can tell me what I can't remember.

How long ago did you read it? Was the book new when you read it?

It was not new. It was probably a few years old when i read it and i read it no more than 4yrs ago. I wish i could be more specific but i read A LOT! It js a series though so there are more than just this one.

Any idea where it is set? Can you tell us anything else about the characters? Jobs, families?

I believe the men that live in the silo/bunker are some sort of security or something. Im sorry i cant remember much else.
