Altered For Life discussion

Hello Readers!

How are you? In speaking with some of you one-on-one, a few things have come to my attention.

Many of you are enjoying the book; however, the discussion portion has been lacking. There are a lot of great principles in this book, but not enough time to give the topics the attention that they need.

In an attempt to be more convenient and hands-off, I've done a poor job of igniting conversations and sustaining them. If we do this in the future, then the guidelines for posting will have to be more regular (e.g. everyone respond to a pre-planned post every Thursday).

Also, this on-line may be the wrong platform for this type of book. Dr. Tony Evans has a devotional and a workbook that accompany this text that are best suited for an in-person small group setting.

As our time with this book comes to a close, I still encourage everyone to finish reading the book. Please post your feedback about this group and how it can be improved.

I am not yet finished, but am really enjoying reading this book. I agree that another platform would be better suited to encourage discussion as I have found this app slightly challenging to get used to. Perhaps a Facebook group or in person small group as you mentioned.

This was an excellent choice for reading and I am gleaning a lot from it, I do wish that we were able to incorporate more of the discussion element.

Thanks Tina! Yes, it seems like Facebook has more "action" as its platform is built to encourage more dialogue. Perhaps we can still do that with this book...and use the page we created for the launch.

This book is truly chock full of info.
