I am useless at lip-reading I can barely tell if somebody says yes or no. :-)

I was talking to one of the deaf teachers where I work and she was telling me how hard it is to lip-read, so many words look the same and numbers are really tough.

That looks impossible, mate!

Have never tried to lip read before, so that was an interesting exercise.

I got the second one - and was amazed I was right! Didn't get any of the others though.

It was definitely a good exercise to be able to relate a little to deaf people's worlds.

Think of doing that all day long. really tiring, gonna get harder as the day goes on.

My wife and daughter got the first two.

Maybe women are more adept at it then. :)

Or women are just smelly and I'm too awesome to read lips?

Glad we all agree on that.

I don't even bother trying to learn to read lips. It's extremely hard, especially when people talk fast, cover their mouths, have beards, mispronounce words, etc.!

I really enjoy lip-reading challenges because I always play with puns/word playing, in order to develop my sense of humor and vocabulary as well! 🤪
