Blast from the Past discussion

We are almost finished! Have your opinions about any characters changed throughout reading the book? Is there anything that has surprised you or that you didn't see coming? Do you feel that Lilli has matured as the book as continued? What do you think her life would have been like if she didn't keep her baby?

I'm at the beginning of Notebook 8, and I'm so mad and upset that I have to put this book down. I am really into this one. Our Lilli is a strong girl, but by far more meek than I am. It's hard for me to put her situation into perspective with the historical time difference. Let me pull back emotionally, so I can think rationally. Then I'll be able to answer the questions.
