2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

You accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You are a new creation. The old you has passed away. Why are you still hanging on to the old hurts, habits and memories? Pack up the old you just like you would pack up old clothes that no longer fit or work uniforms for a job you no longer have. Be a hermit crab and trade your old shell for a bigger better one. Be the caterpillar that goes into the chrysalis and comes out a butterfly and flies off to a new and different life. Yes, you have family and friends from your old life that you still care about. Yes, you have obligations that you cannot forget about. It doesn't mean that you have to relive the old hurts or stay around and listen to someone that won't let the past die. If the people you are around can't or won't accept the new you then maybe it is time to make a change in the way you relate to those people. Just maybe it is time that you say if you cannot accept me for who I am now then I won't be coming around anymore. I will check on you and help you in your time of need but my time will be spent with people that love me for who I am in Christ. Pray for those people and continue to love them but don't let them control you and hold you back from what God has in store for you. Don't let old definitions of you keep you from achieving new and exciting things. Don't let old hurts keep you from making amends and becoming friends with others that have also changed. Don't let what others think of you, keep you from a relationship with Jesus. Hoarding the past doesn't allow room for the Holy Spirit to enter into every chamber of your heart. Of course there are situations and people that you cannot leave behind, parents, children, spouses, those you have to learn to live with in a new way. Pray for them. Have patience with them. You are the one that changed. They don't understand the new you or what you believe in. One day everything was fine and the next day everything in their lives changed and they are hurt and confused. Let God work in them. Again, be patient and pray for them. Don't preach at them. Just love them and wait on the Lord.

Psalm 130:5
I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope.

I pray that you wholly accept and embrace the new creation that you are in Jesus Christ. Amen

C. Read (truelight) | 312 comments Light verses Darkness

Devotional for Tuesday ~ 5 September 2017 / 14 Elul 5777

Today is a very important anniversary for me. It has been twenty years since the publication of my second book entitled, “Walking in the True Light.” Today also happens to be the twenty-year anniversary of the death of a woman who was absolutely idolized by the world, and regarded as a saint by the Roman Catholic Church.

Based on Mother Teresa’s own words, she did not know the Lord. After some of her personal letters to others were published against her wishes, it was revealed that she had been far away from God in a dark and lonely place where she felt abandoned and unloved by God. She even came to be known as a “saint of Darkness.”

She wrote, “There is such terrible darkness within me, as if everything was dead. It has been like this more or less from the time I started ‘the work.” She has been quoted as saying, “I have come to love the darkness.”

It greatly concerns me that others have tried to portray Mother Teresa’s despair, emptiness, and separation from God as something to be expected in the life of a Christian. There are so many lies spoken in the name of the Lord, and people actually believe them! May God open the eyes of His people!

I pray for the Day that God exposes all “workers of iniquity,” and if you have been taught that you can walk in darkness and still be acceptable before God, please prayerfully consider these verses.
John 12:46 “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.”

John 3:19 “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

1 John 1:3 “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Only through the Lord Jesus Christ, and His great sacrifice when He gave His life at Calvary, can our sins be washed away! Praise God! And not until we truly repent of our sins, and are forgiven by God, can we even know the truth. Good works does not save us! Genuine salvation only comes by Jesus Christ because of what He has done!

God still speaks! Are you listening? One last passage that I hope you will prayerfully read and consider.
Ephesians 5:6 “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Ephesians 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Ephesians 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”

I would like to share an excerpt from “Walking in the True Light,” so you can better understand my view.

A Word from the Writer

It’s been said that once you have the knowledge, “then” you will be held accountable for what you have heard.

But according to the Holy Scriptures, if you call yourself a man or woman of God you are “already” accountable for every word that has proceeded from the mouth of God.

His Word has been written, His beloved Son lived it out, and those who are true Christians have His Holy Spirit.

Thus, there will be no excuse for not doing God’s will; yet regretfully many people will perish for “lack of knowledge,” not only because they believed the lies of a man, but also because they fell into the trap of the Wicked One.

And in this “little book,” I hope to dispel many of the lies that have been spoken in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ, so as to help you see some of the dangers set before us all.

May the “True Light” shine upon you as you seek to follow Almighty God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and may you truly have a heart to understand.

Howbeit, only he that hath “ears to hear” will be able to hear “what the Spirit saith unto the Churches…”

May God be with you and your loved ones in these very dark times in which we are living. May the Light of Jesus Christ shine upon you so that you can know the way, the truth, and the life! You all are in my prayers—always!

With the love of Christ,
C. Read

Don't forget to make pleasant habits, my friend. It is easy to get sucked into the pit of bad habits-- indolent, rude ones-- and it is very comfortable and natural to do so; but it does not take very much effort to form good, pleasant habits that are attractive to others and make them feel nice. You can smile big, you can tell jokes/riddles, you can be known for giving the best hugs, you can wink, you can pat the shoulder, you can leave notes, you can hold open doors, you can pray with, you can share verses with-- there is a world of kind things we can do to make those around us happy. Find out what people like. The way people percieve you is how fulfill their need. And don't be discouraged if it seems your interactions do not help; some people will be very blessed and yet never express their gratitude. Some people are very choosy about who they decide to accept help from. Listen to God and He will put you with the right person, at the right place, at the right time.
Make others feel of worth, and yourself feel wanted when you make considerate habits.
Yet beware of doing good only to impress. There is no reward for this.

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Galation 5:13

So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:12

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue,[a] and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities[b] are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:5-8

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24-25

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
http://bible.com/1/mat.6.14-15.kjv

By my understanding, forgiveness does not come naturally to people. It is not human nature to forgive. It is human nature to go after revenge. It is human nature to grieve those who grieve you. Those are sinful ways. I'm referring to human nature in regards to sinful human nature to hold on to bitterness, hatred, and envy. Those are carnal ways of human nature.

Christ teaches us the opposite. Christ assures us of a power of the Spirit of God that is available to us that is stronger than the sinful human nature. It is not of human will power. It is of God. God gives it to us. The power to forgive. But it is from His Spirit; not of human will.

“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
http://bible.com/1/gal.5.17.kjv

So forgiveness is possible. If you feel it is not, faith in God is stronger. Faith that God forgives us, and we forgive by the Spirit; not a feeling, nor of will power. We forgive by faith because God forgives us. It's not a feeling. It's a reality. Forgiveness, by God's Spirit, is possible seven times seventy for every person, every day! That is not a carnal thought. That is not a feeling. That is completely possible through Jesus Christ. He tells us it is possible. It is not a feeling, or contest to achieve. It is offered by the grace we get through faith in Jesus Christ. Christ makes it possible for all of us to forgive each other seven times seventy every day through God's power of His Spirit. That is hope from God for all people through His Son Jesus Christ. Amen!

“Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”

Me, myself and I, pronouns of the English language used for the person you are in a sentence. Me, myself and I are also different parts of yourself that you show to different people.

I, the part of yourself that you show the world. I is the world leaders in the middle of a Summit meeting. I is the professor while teaching the class. I is the parent disciplining a child. I is the teenager deciding not to break curfew with friends. I is the 13 year old giving the answer in class. I is the toddler saying the word No for the first time and understanding it.

Me is the part of yourself that you show to friends and family. Me laughs at Dad's jokes when nobody else does. Me runs to Mom with a scraped knee or cut finger. Me fights over the remote with brothers and sisters. Me decides to watch a romantic comedy instead of a scary movie. Me decides whether to eat chocolate, caramel or neither (my me doesn't understand "neither"). Me shares secrets with your best friend.

Myself is the part of yourself that nobody but you knows. Myself is secretly scared of heights but zip-lines anyway because friends want to and it is fun. Myself keeps a new love secret because it is too fragile to share even with your best friend. Myself secretly wants to stay in bed and read instead of going out with friends, but goes anyway. Myself is embarrassed, disgusted, lonely, fearful and hopeful but doesn't show it because you fear that to do so may bring judgement on you. Myself has fears that even you are not aware of because to think them might make them so.

Me, Myself and I, God knows all of you, even the parts you don't know yet.

Psalm 139
1 O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

Jeremiah 17:10
“I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

God knows you intimately, shouldn't you try to know Him better.

God the Father, Creator, Lawmaker, Supreme Authority, Merciful, Full of Grace, Forgiving

Jesus the Son, fully God and fully Human, Friend, Brother, Savior

Holy Spirit, Helper, Writer of Scripture, God dwelling within us

(plus many, many more names for each)

The Trinity, three persons in One God, distinct individually but never divided or separated. Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient

We do not have the ability to fully understand God, the Trinity, God existing before creation, but God has imprinted on our souls the need to try. Strive every day, every hour, every minute, every second to know God better.

In Heaven, what you have learned from and about God and lived out in your daily life will be rewarded. In Heaven some questions will probably be answered but God is God and we are not so some questions will remain. We will be with Jesus, overwhelmingly loved and filled with an abundance of joy. The questions won't have room to invade our thoughts and minds. The questions won't need answered in the presence of Jesus. Until that Glorious Time seek God and following the Great Commandment and the Great Commission:

Matthew 22
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

May you hear God's voice, may you feel Jesus beside you, and may the Holy Spirit encompass your soul, heart and mind.
Amen

Walking in the True Light

Devotional for Tuesday 12 September 2017 / 22 Elul 5777

(Posted: 13 September 2017 / 23 Elul 5777)

As I consider how the leadership of the nation of Israel reluctantly joined hands with the “enemy,” on this day, twenty-four years ago, I see that God’s people, whether they be Jew or Gentile, are still being persuaded, by religious leaders, to side with the “Enemy,” albeit in Darkness, just where Satan wants unsuspecting souls to live and remain…

It is only by walking in the “True Light” that we can see the many ways that the great “Deceiver” has been leading God’s people astray! And it is my sincerest prayer that the LORD —the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—will open the eyes of His people who truly love Him!

Real Christians, we know that true peace is only through a genuine relationship with the LORD Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel, who gave His life on the cross at Calvary. I pray that God’s grace and mercy will be with you and your loved ones in these difficult and trying times in which we live, as you walk with Him in the True Light of His holy word!

With the love of Christ,
C. Read

Please prayerfully consider this prophetic message/messianic passage from the Holy Scriptures.

Isaiah 28:14 “Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Isaiah 28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Isaiah 28:18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Isaiah 28:19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.”

THANKSGIVING
Ephesians 5:20
"Giving thanks always for all things unto God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Giving thanks...one of the reasons that a person can be the happiest man/woman on earth! Thankful people are the most happy people! So, give thanks...

WHEN?... ALWAYS...in the morning, at noon, at night, when it storms, when it's cloudy or fair... in sunshine or in shadow...in sickness or in health...in richer or poorer...we can give thanks anytime, anywhere... always!!!

For WHAT?... ALL THINGS...first and foremost: for the gift of Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ! Ephesians 2:8-9; for forgiveness of our sins!
...for FAMILY! for FRIENDS (such as C.)! for the air we breath! for the sunshine...and the rain! If I cannot thank Him because I'm in crutches today, I can still thank Him because of the crutches He provides so that I can still go to places... If I cannot thank Him because of the possibility that my Daughter can not go on with her studies in the next semester or so, I can still thank Him because until this moment in time He provided the needs that she's still at school today!...If I cannot thank Him for the trials, I can still thank Him for the strength/grace He gave me to overcome them!... I can thank Him for everything! Praise the Lord!

To WHOM?... to GOD and the FATHER... everything belongs to God! He created man, the earth and everything in it! 1Corinthians 4:7 "...and what hast thou that thou didst not received?..."...everything we have we received from Him. All glory and thanksgiving belong to Him Who sits on the throne of heaven!

Through WHOM?... through our LORD JESUS CHRIST... He is our Only mediator! not Mary, not the R.C. saints, no, not one... John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.", 1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"!

We, Real Christians have all the reason to be thankful for everything, all the time to God our Father through our Lord Jesus Christ! and remain blessed and always happy as we go along serving and glorifying our Lord!
Thank you so much for reading!
Blessings!
Always be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might!

Today's devo is just a simple little message that a friend once told me:

“If you find yourself watching a movie, looking at pictures, seeing inapropriateness, don’t forget that you have eyelids. If you find yourself hearing bad words or someone talking about inapropriateness, don’t forget you have hands to cover your ears. If you find your mind filling with shameful memories, or imagining, immoral ideas, remember, you have someone who will clean your mind if you ask. If you find your hands doing harmful, unkind, or hurtful things, remember that you have feet that can take you away from danger. Danger does not always hurt. Danger does not always seem scary or ugly, but it is always --very-- dangerous.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.
-1 Thessalonians 5:22

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
-2 Corinthians 10:5

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
-Philippians 4:8

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
-James 4:7

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
-2 Timothy 4:18

“And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:32-43‬ ‭KJV‬‬
http://bible.com/1/luk.23.32-43.kjv

Jesus Christ displayed for the entire world how we ought behave when others rail against us with accusations, bitterness, and/or mockery. On the cross, He showed us how to have a clean conscience by adhering to God’s will for our lives.

It was God’s love for us to be blessed with a witness account of the two criminals flanking Christ on their own crosses recorded in the Bible. One criminal was of the worldly spirit in many of the people who harassed Christ. The other criminal showed a much different conscience! He rebuked that man harassing Christ, even though he too committed crimes. He showed that he had a clean conscience toward God, regardless of his crimes, attained through acknowledgement of God’s authority and God’s means of justice.

One criminal did not have that peace with God, even in his final moments paying for his crimes by crucifixion. His conscience was still unclean. He was as the people against Christ were living. Christ replied only to the godly words from one of the two criminals. Christ showed us how to only speak what is godly and right. Christ also showed, on the cross, how forgiving God is! God loves us all, which includes criminals. God will indeed forgive us all our sins, if we ask.

Many witnesses of Christ’s crucifixion were of a worldly spirit; of an unclean conscience. They were of a spirit that did not include a healthy fear and reverence for God. Unfortunately, I'm led to believe, by the Scriptures, that the criminal who behaved like those secular people were behaving, who railed at Christ, lost out on the kingdom of God.

We all have to make the decision whether to choose Christ or this world. That decision gives us the clean or unclean conscience we will have in this life, and have when we perish. Let us make peace with God by including Him in our daily lives now, each and every day right up until the day we see Him in His kingdom and then He will know us by name. We will never really be alone.

“But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Anita Joe Hello Michael!
Thank you for your post!
In my devotional time I was reading Luke 23 as well. I'm always amazed at the work of the Holy Ghost. This was not a coincidence. I asked Him to speak to my heart and teach me what He wanted me to know through these passages. He reminded me of my prayers "Father make me like Your Son" In this instance He showing me thus "Make me to keep my mouth shut!" Yes, even in the midst of accusations and persecution. But how was I to carry out this heavy task? How did Jesus do it? Then the Spirit said " Jesus focused on the BIG PICTURE! After all is said and done, one gloroius day, the Savior will be highly exalted. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Beloved we too can focus on the big picture. For the Christian who chooses to follow after Him, though we suffer, one day we will forever reign with Him in glory. Dressed in white robes of righteousness with a crown of gold. There God will wipe away the tears and take away all pain.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18-19).

Today, many people are either recovering from or preparing for a hurricane (or both). Certain parts of the world have been devastated by the storms that have come one right after the other. Whether the storms you are facing or recovering from are weather, financial, physical, mental or spiritual the LORD is there with you in the midst of it all. It may feel like it is more than you can take. You may just want to curl up in a ball and cry. God is with you, just waiting for you to give it all to Him. Your problems probably won't miraculously go away but the LORD will make it bearable. Walk hand in hand with Jesus through your storms and He will clear the debris from your heart, mind and soul. If you allow Him to work within you, the Holy Spirit will piece together your broken heart and fill it with peace and joy. With Jesus, you will never be alone in your pain. Jesus will be your the strength on the long road of recovery.
May God Bless you and strengthen you through the storms you are facing. May God send the storms that are forming back to sea and protect everyone from them. May the storm victims recover quickly and may their homes and neighborhoods be restored soon. May they have fresh water, food and supplies. May their needs be met. May Jesus be your guiding Light in the darkness of this world. Amen

Devotional for Tuesday ~ 19 September 2017 / 29 Elul 5777

Today is the eve of a very important Holy Day according to the Holy Scriptures, and Almighty God commanded His chosen people to memorialize it by "the blowing of trumpets."
Leviticus 23:23-25 "And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, (Tishrei) in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an Holy Convocation. Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD."

The blowing of the trumpet / shofar was to signify that something extremely important was about to take place, and the "day of atonement" was the specific reason as to why the "blowing of the trumpets" was so important.

I realize that most Christians do not know or understand the significance of this day, but there will come a time when God will reveal to His people exactly why this day is the beginning of a very special season, and how it is the precursor to the most momentous event in history!

And as I observe this special Day of the LORD, I truly hope that I am pleasing to God, as I seek to honor Him and His holy word!

God is speaking to His people these days, and I truly hope you are able to hear His voice calling out to those who belong to Him. However, sin will greatly hinder your ability to hear Him, which is why sin of any kind, whether it be unintentional or blatant, will blind your eyes and stop up your ears from seeing and hearing the truth about God and His Kingdom.

The LORD said that the Final Days would be marked by great deception, especially among those who claim to be "Christian." When you look at the apostasy, hypocrisy, and compromise taking place among the people in so many of the churches, it is obvious that the LORD God is no longer with them.

I am reminded of the grandchild of Eli the priest who was named Ichabod—meaning “there is no glory,” i.e. the glory departed from Israel! Eli had ignored the sinful acts his sons committed in the house of God, and obviously the leadership went along with it, which enabled the people to become so sinful too. And in their prideful state they misused the power of God, to their own demise. (You can go to 1 Samuel 4:1-22 to read why the enemy was able to overtake and kill so many of God's people, and why God was not with them when they went to battle against their enemies).

Many innocent people have been deceived by trusting in "false teachers" through the "Purpose Driven churches," the lies of the "Promise Keepers," and the craziness of the Charismatics. Moreover by reading and trusting in corrupted versions of the Bible such as "The Message" and any other "Bible" that has poison in it, has caused God's people to be ignorant of the truth! (There is much I could say on that topic, and how the “love of money” has blinded the eyes of the many supporters (to include publishers, book stores, authors, preachers, teachers, and other leaders) of that blasphemous book and its author, but I will save that for another day.)

It is no wonder so many Protestant and Baptist churches are now embracing anti-Christian, unbiblical beliefs! Sadly, the name of Jesus Christ has been, and continues to be misused and abused for personal, political, and financial gain; and the memory of Jesus Christ, and all that He has done for mankind has become so tainted with evil!

It has gotten to the point where you must have a very guarded approach to those who call themselves Christian. Jesus even warned His disciples that many would come in His name, claiming to be of Christ, yet they would be ravenous wolves dressed in sheep's clothing seeking to destroy their lives.

It is imperative to pay close attention to what a person does, not just what they say. Men will deceive you, sometimes very innocently; and only the Holy Spirit of God will lead and guide you into all Truth.

This is truly one of the greatest tragedies of our Time! Churches who were once true defenders of the faith as handed down by the Holy apostles have become ineffective, defenseless, and open for attack by the Enemy; and as long as people mix truth with lies, and are willing to compromise the truth of the Holy Scriptures, God cannot stand with them in their sin.

God revealed Himself to me while I was in the presence of my enemies, and He allowed me to see the truth of who I was really walking with, and who they actually served. I pray I will remain attentive to His wonderful voice!

Please prayerfully consider what the LORD GOD spoke through me on the night when He gave me this message to share. And even though I was "Walking With The Enemy," I praise God He was still with me!

Prophecy of 28 February 1993

"Many things you have been taught here has been done in secrecy and in Darkness. You have been taught truth mixed with lies, and the LORD says it will go on no longer! And you...[pastor--] is the one who has taught the lies, and the LORD says it will go on no longer in this home.

The LORD is giving you a chance to turn from your sin, and He is so forgiving that He will not hold your sin against you if you repent. And if you do not you will die!

He is my Husband, and I love Him with a love that cannot be broken. I love you too, but with a brotherly love. And I beg you to repent!

Everything you have learned here has been tainted with evil, and you cannot hold on to any of it. The only thing that you can hold on to is the fact that Jesus Christ died for you, and by His mighty power, God raised Him from the dead.

If you believe that in your heart, and claim Him as LORD, He will put the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead inside of you, to lead you and guide you into the Truth!

Light will overshadow Darkness, and Darkness will not be able to stand in the presence of God!"

End of Prophecy

There are many "traditions" that are a wonderful testimony to the grace of God working in the lives of His people, but there are some customs and holidays that totally contradict the Holy Scriptures, and must be rejected.

Contrary to what has been taught in the Churches, the laws of God have not been done away with—they have been fulfilled in the LORD Jesus Christ! And the LORD God Almighty still requires complete obedience to His Holy Commandments as given to Moses on the mount.

Many of my Jewish brethren have never met the True Messiah of Israel, but I sincerely hope all God’s people who love Him will truly humble themselves before the One, True and only Living God, and earnestly pray that He will give them "eyes to see" the truth and "ears to hear" His wonderful voice!

It is truly the greatest of blessings to know with a certainty that God is with you, and that He truly loves and cares about you. And only through the Messiah of Israel can we have that complete assurance.

The LORD God Almighty is calling His people unto Himself, and whether you be Jew or Gentile please heed that very important call! The sound of the Trumpet is soon to begin to mark this holy season, and only Almighty God—the true Holy Father, knows when that Final Trumpet will sound!

I Peter 2:4-9 "To whom coming, as unto a Living Stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a Spiritual house, an Holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Wherefore also it is contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief Corner Stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.

Unto you therefore which believe He is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the Stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the Head of the Corner, and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the Word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an Holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of Darkness into his marvelous Light:"

May your name will be inscribed in the Book of Life on the Judgment Day! And I pray that God will bless and keep you my “Real Christian” friends!

With the love of Christ,
C. Read

Today I have have a poem to share with you all. I hope it is a blessing to you.

God made everything:
He made the earth,
He made time,
He made stuff that we can’t imagine,
He made stuff that doesn’t exist.
Think about it;
He created possibilities.
Ideas.
Roads we could take if we had mind to.
He created “what if’s”.
He created everything and gave us the freedom and power and honor and will to choose.
He gave us options and a joystick.
We can pick
What we do,
Where we go,
Who we see,
But we can’t pick who we are.
God makes Himself known with any of the options we pick.
He teaches us to learn with each step
That He is God and He is in control.
He knows what will happen.
What He has made
He will perfect, whether we like it or not.
There is no escape from suffering.
Neither is there escape from joy.
But the thing about joy is that it’s so light it often floats away.
We should reach out and catch it by the tail.
But we often end up stepping out of its way.
And it seems we have missed out
On a lovely gift;
A gift tailor-made for Christians.
Heathens have no access
To the joy that God gives.
He controls the heathens too.
He knows about them.
They don’t know about Him.
It doesn’t matter.
God is still God and He has made everything.

What is grace? Grace is faith in Jesus Christ with your life. Grace is allowing life to happen with faith in Jesus Christ without fear of what might happen to us. Let's face it. We will experience fear. But fear is not what God gives us. Fear of the Lord is healthy fear. We can even tremble with fear of God, and it is not wrong. It is actually righteousness.

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can have the life God has planned for us with grace. Real grace. The grace of acceptance of God's divine sovereignty over our lives. That's real grace. There is a worldly form of grace that is established by law for the dignity of our race. That law we must adhere to if or when it enters our lives. We aren't criminals. We’re Christians. We are followers of Christ. Following Christ's laws will keep us safe and righteous.

Christ removes us from the law. He puts us under His protection. But if we sin, we get into trouble, maybe with the law. God has called us to live clean lives, washed by the very blood of Jesus Christ, forgiven by His sacrifice. Again, Christ sets the rules for us. Christ gives us love; the law of love. That love is realized by Christ, and through Christ. It is not of any human capacity. It is realized by faith in Christ at all times.

“What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

My husband is face book friends with a former classmate. This is the only contact they have now. This man is a christian, my husband is not. You may think great, your husband has someone that will witness to him. It is not that simple. This man calls himself a "Watchman". He is always posting articles and videos about end times and the coming of Jesus. For the last 6 months all he has posted has related to the eclipse, the position of the planets, sun, moon and stars and the coming of Jesus on September 23. He would reference Revelation 12 and Mark 13 each time he posted and he posted often.

Revelation 12:1-3 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems.

Mark 13: 7-8 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.

He would pick and choose which part of verses to quote and totally ignore the rest.

Mark 13:32-33 “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.

I am happy that he is enthusiastic for the coming of Jesus. I just wish he would post about other things besides end times.
I sometimes think that my husband is starting to listen and is getting closer to accepting Jesus, then he reads one of his friends post and it is like he took a giant leap backwards. He will say something like "Christians believe nonsense" or "that stuff is crazy". The fact that Jesus did not come on the 23rd proves the above statements to my husband.
If this man talked as much about his relationship with Jesus and what God has done for him as he does end times, he would bring people closer to God, which is what he is attempting to do with his posts.
Please remember that talking about signs of the end times is difficult among Christians, to do so with non-believers is to push many of them away from God. Instead talk to them about the love of Jesus, and their own mortality. Don't throw things at them that most Christians do not understand. Don't be the pushy salesman that calls at dinner time and aggravates everyone. Be the person that invites people to dinner and shows his love for Jesus with how he lives his life.
Please remember that when communicating on a public forum, you are speaking to a diverse group of people and they won't see things the way you do. Think before you post and be sure that what you are posting will bring people closer to accepting Jesus, not push them away.
Please pray for my husband and for everyone that has not yet accepted Jesus.
Please pray that our words and actions always lead others to Jesus and not push them away.
Amen

Devotional for Tuesday ~ 26 September 2017 / 7 Tishrei 5778 /
The Ten Days of Awe

There are so many deceivers in the world, AND in the churches. And when those who claim to be Christian mislead others into believing their lies, it only increases the mockers, and brings disgrace to the name of Jesus Christ.

It is so important that we, as followers of the LORD Jesus Christ, be grounded in the truth of God's holy word, so that we will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Satan is working overtime these days because he knows his time is coming to a close very soon! (I know not the day nor the hour, but I see the seasons! May God give me "eyes to see" all that I need to know so I can more effectively serve Him!)

I truly hope my messages will direct people to Jesus Christ, our Savior, so that others who visit, that are not Christians, will see their great need for Him! We surely need God's grace, love, and mercy now more than ever, considering the very difficult and trying times in which we live.

I have selected a few Scripture passages I hope you will prayerfully consider. And this is my sincere prayer for all God’s people who truly love Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love their neighbors as themselves!

Numbers 6:24 “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

Numbers 6:25 The LORD make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

Numbers 6:26 The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”

With the love of Christ,
C. Read

John 9:4 Jesus said, “I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

~~~
Luke 9:18 “And it came to pass, as He [Jesus] was alone praying, His disciples were with Him: and He asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?
Luke 9:19 They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.
Luke 9:20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
Luke 9:21 And He straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;
Luke 9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
Luke 9:23 And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it.
Luke 9:25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.”
~~~

John 12:34 "The people answered Him [Jesus], We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest Thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

John 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

John 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide Himself from them.

John 12:37 But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on Him:

John 12:38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

~~~
Jude 1:17 "But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
Jude 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Jude 1:24 Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
By GRACE
1 Timothy 1:12-14
"And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus."
I just wanted to share a glimpse from the Testimony that my Friend C. have written, "Walking in the TrueLight", that has blessed my heart and hopefully those who will read this as well...
I have not asked permission from her, but I believe she will give me consent as this is a blessing from above...
Page 63:
"I would never intentionally want to be hurtful to anybody, even when I wasn't born again; but I see where I have been a selfish and inconsiderate person and I do ask you to please forgive me.
This is truly from my heart and I am not saying these things to win back relationships or to manipulate you in anyway. That is truly not my intent. In fact I am not doing too good in the relationships I have in my life now, but with the Lord's help I am sure He will be able to restore whatever needs to be.
There is also a lot of sorrow in my heart to the Lord because all the while when I thought I was truly walking with Him in Spirit and in truth, I was actually Walking With the Enemy of my God.
And because I was such an improper representative of the Lord Jesus Christ I am extremely sorry. But God is so wonderful, and merciful, and forgiving! He won't hold any of my sins against me especially since I did it out of ignorance.
....So do not think I am anything just because He has used me in this way. I am nothing, but Jesus Christ in me is everything.
In fact it's only by the grace of God that I am even able to talk about any of this, much less to put it down on paper."
And His grace is always sufficient...always abundant!
Let's keep each other in our hearts and prayers.
Thank you for reading and may you stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!
Blessings!
God does not work through fear.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. -Timothy 1:7
Recently I was faced with an important decision that I had to make (several decisions, actually) and I was unable to make any sort of choice because I was paralyzed with the fear of offending God. All I could think about was punishment and consequences and His sorrow at my potential sin. But what I had forgot was that we are not longer bound by the law but are freed by His grace. Fear is the wrong motivation to do good. It leads to no good place.
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. -Proverbs 29:15
Once the enemy has succeeded to make us afraid, he begins to layer his lies. He says, "you can't", "God won't", "nobody cares", "you don't matter", and "it's too late". But these things he says are absolute bosh: everything is possible with God; God will; people do care-- God does care; you matter immensely; it's never too late.
Recognize that fear does not just come from earthly cirumstances. Certainly, it is a natural human response, but ultimately it stems from the enemy. We are in a spiritual battle, everyday fighting against evil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. -Ephesians 6:12
Yet we must remember we have power-- a power that trumps all other powers. We have the King of the universe as our protector. He has promised to always be with us.
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. -Deuteronomy 31:6
Although we will pass through many difficult trials in this life we have access and privilege to a great strength and hope.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. -Isaiah 43:2
One of my favorite songs is titled "He Will Carry You" by Scott Wesley Brown. The lyrics go:
"There is no problem too big
God cannot solve it
There is no mountain too tall
God cannot move it
There is no storm too dark
God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep
He cannot soothe it
Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my brother that He will carry you
Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my sister that He will carry you
He said, "Come on to me all who are weary
And I will give you rest."
God keeps His Word; He will give rest. The battle is already won. It does not depend upon our triumph or our failure. We are triumphant in HIM!
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. -John 16:33
The Lord bless you always.
Thank you my dear friend! And this is truly my prayer for you, my dear Pastor Arnie, and all my fellow Christians here at this community.
Numbers 6:24 "The LORD..."
Thank you so much my Dear Friend C for this Bible Prayer! What a blessing to have Friends who shares the same love and faithfulness to our Lord Jesus Christ!
I also missed our correspondence my Friend, but I know that our prayers are constant for each other.
The Lord always keep you strong both in body,soul, and spirit!
