This was a new author for me and looking forward to other titles in the series. Very cleverly written with characters with connections to Bram stoker and Sherlock Holmes. Ms. Holmes is Sherlock Holmes's niece , Ms. Stoker is Bram Stoker's sister. Both young ladies join together at the urging of Irene Adler ( another character familiar to Sherlock Holmes novels) who is working undercover at the British Museum for HRH Princess Alexandra, to solve the disappearances of young women of privilege. This is a wonderfully written book, fast moving and cleverly done. Only a little disappointed that it is a cliffhanger at the end of the book. It combines Victorian England, steampunk inventions, and wonderful characters.4 stars
