Kate ends up killing The Professor/Brandon Edwards before they have a chance to interview him. Was there a missed opportunity here? Was this a satisfying end to him?

Maybe at first she thought not interviewing him was a missed opportunity, but at least he kept great records and him being dead is the best ending for the story.
