They were both caring people and both of them faced situations that are morally challenging. Not every situation can be resolved by following the letter of the law. I don't have a problem with their pasts or that they are both active FBI agents.

I can't say I take issue with either one of them and they need to take those secrets with them to the grave.

The fact that they have both done things outside the letter of the law and can live with their actions makes them very compatible as a couple.
