Urban Fantasy discussion

Several years ago I pick up a book (in a airport maybe) that I really enjoyed but for the life of me I cannot remember the Title or the author.
Plot elements
- Former British soldiers decides to join a mercenary group
- Mercenaries turn out to be led by Norse God's who are trying to prevent Ragnarok.
Take place in Great Britain, I think the author was British too, English I think.
