Matias Ramon | 34 comments hey, it seems that mistborn and stormlight saga are almost everyones favorite , so i want to know your opinion about which book or saga is the best of Brandon Sanderson besides this two(i have only read mistborn trilogy)

message 2: by Tom (new)

Tom (riptorn41) I loved the Rithmatist, and the Calamity series is great, too.

message 3: by Claudio (new)

Claudio (flamewing23) | 5 comments Yes i loved The Rithmatist outside of mistborn and stormlight. i loved the first reckoners (actually the first book book of Sanderson read) but the other two are good but not so much, the second one is a little slow and the last one is too harsh in the ending... actually when i finished the mistborn trilogy i read right after it the alloy of law (new mistborn trilogy) and that's great too, you'll love the reference to the old ones. And of course when you can you HAVE TO read stormlight, i know that they're huge but totally worth it.

message 4: by Richelle (new)

Richelle | 5 comments I loved Warbreaker

message 5: by Greta (new)

Greta Yeager | 5 comments I really enjoyed Elantris- it's both shorter in the sense that it's a standalone, but it still had very distinctive and memorable world and characters.

message 6: by Ally (new)

Ally Grunig (allygrunig) | 6 comments Elantris and Steelheart

message 7: by Matias (new)

Ezequiel | 1 comments The Emperor's Soul is great!

message 10: by Guillaume (new)

Guillaume (ghil) | 1 comments The Reckoners series is great!
It's super heroes, done differently. Way different. I'm in love with the world, the characters.

message 11: by Emily (new)

Emily Parr | 1 comments I enjoyed Warbreaker the most after SA. Then it’s probably a tie between Rithmatist and Elantris. Oh, but legion was so good too!

message 12: by Dick (new)

Dick Nielson (firennice) | 1 comments I love the Wax and Wayne stories.

message 13: by Joel (new)

Joel Gosh, that's a tough question. All of his works have something cool and different to offer. I really like all of his works for different reasons.

Warbreaker for the reversals, magic, world.

Wax and Wayne for the evolution of the magic, culture, and technology of the Mistborn world. Wayne is also very funny.

Emperor's Soul is just such a great and tightly written shorter story from Brandon.

Non-cosmere-wise I'd probably go with the Reckoners. It does some cool stuff with superheroes.

message 16: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) | 109 comments I really enjoy all of Sanderson’s works, but other than Mistborn and Stormlight I would say it would either be Rithmatist, Legion, or Emperors’ Soul.

message 17: by Haley (new)

Haley Robertson | 3 comments I really loved Legion even though some people didn't like it. I still need to read more of Sanderson's other stand-alone books.

Legion was one of those few books that made me cry at the end. :b

The only drawback is there isn't a sequel yet. It works pretty well as a standalone, yet there are a couple big questions left. But it's awesome.

message 35: by Sharad (new)

Sharad Kaplingad (thalathirinjavan) The Skyward series had me gripped. It's perhaps his best non-cosmere work.

It really got me too, it was a very poetic ending.

message 37: by Matt (new)

Matt Pfarr | 4 comments Legion is probably my favourite outside those too. Had fun reading Alcatraz with my kids but the quality is mixed with that series.

message 38: by Jesse (new)

Jesse | 21 comments Legion is so great, very under-appreciated.

message 39: by Andrew (new)

message 40: by Clara (new)
