Dean is your average teenager, with his interests in music, food, and the usual teenage culture. However, he is one of those kids who never talk unless spoken to, and avoid eye contact with even classmates. Dean is awfully shy, sometimes going by a day without having a real conversation with anyone besides the closest friends. He is introverted, keeping everything and anything to himself. It's a sort of defense mechanism, in his irrational fear that something will happen to him. Living with his dyslexia and learning problems has made Dean the target of bullies, having an effect on his sanity and thought process. He sits in the back of classrooms, walks with his head down, and tries to stay out of the way. He never shows his powers, as he hates the attention he fears he'd get.
Living in Boston, with his small group of dance buddies, the real side of Dean had been the regular. The silly side, where he makes lame jokes, teases people, and says random things to make his closest laugh. He was openly friendly, and could feel comfortable with himself. At the Academy, Dean has completely shut himself down with anxiety, with a peculiar, quiet personality. It is most difficult to get through his mental walls, to get him to open up about feelings and such. He fears being left alone to fend for himself, or solitude for the rest of his life.
Dean is overall a harmless creature, sometimes basically nonexistent. Towards his mother, Dean is the sweetest, always helping her out and going the extra mile to make her happy. After all, each other is all they have, with no close relatives on his mother's side, and an empty father's side. Dean tends to stress about what people will think, have a hard time with school, and shelter himself. He is seen as defenseless, allowing others to walk all over him, and obeys those who threaten him. He just wants to fit in again, to be happy and worry free. The labs have left him hateful towards the scientists, as well as very secluded.
{History}
Dean Mateo Romano was a love child. His parents, Allise, a young native Spanish woman and Matthew, a wealthy business man, fell in love at a bar, and were tossed in the whirlwind of a seven month questionable romance. When Matthew found out that his girlfriend was pregnant, he jumped ship and disappeared. No note, no trace. His phone number had changed, leaving Allise no way to contact who she had thought was the love of her life. Allise was left distraught, suicidal, with the child she hadnt even wanted from the beginning. Drugs, alcohol, and even suicide attempts were involved. She had no way to earn money, having been fired only weeks earlier from her job, and she had just come from high school. She was lucky the landlord had been nice, assisting with loans and counseling. Alisse picked herself up after a good cry on the phone with her mother, who had convinced her to keep the child. Dean. The boy was born on a hot July night, in a run down hospital in downtown Boston. She had vowed to take care of her new son to the best of her ability, regardless of what her friends told her.
Between hiring babysitters, finishing up real estate classes, and working three jobs, Allise managed to raise the unstable child. He had acquired a learning disability since birth, and speech as a child had come slow.
School was a major issue for Dean, as he couldn't focus with the addition of ADHD caused by neglect and boredom around the apartment growing up. The two lived together in a crummy apartment in Boston, Massachusetts, for the remainder of Deans childhood, both working together to put food on the table and live another day under a roof. This taught him to be very modest, as well as spiteful towards the topic of fathers. His mother never said a words about Matthew, and pretty soon, Dean couldn't care less.
In school, Dean was enrolled in the special education program, or in other words, the handicapped class. This distinctive separation from his peers at such a tender age caused a rift in between dean and the other kids, who looked at him as some kind of poor freak. Not only did he wear the same clothes repeatedly, but he was retarded. It didnt take long for kids to pick on him, and Dean put up with it for all ten years of schooling. He never told his mother, not wanting to place an added stress on the busy young mother.
Somewhere in middle school, Dean had met Evan. Evan had been somewhat quiet, like him, but took the nerve to talk to dean one day, who was sitting alone on a bench for lunch, per usual. The Evan kid persisted in talking to him, even when Dean hardly answered, and the tradition continued for several days. Evan would sit by him at the bench, talk while he silently listened. Eventually, Evan was able to bring Dean from his shell, soon developing the same interests. The two became best friends, and Dean was introduced to Evan's world. The world of dance. It distracted him from his thoughts of being not good enough, or being a complete freak. Dean took a passion to dance, often coming to Evans practice sessions to watch in the mirrored room. He couldn't afford lessons, like Evan, but his buddy had learned to teach him. Dean would hide outside an open door in the studio, and Copy Evans instructor. Soon, Dean would dance in secret at home, at school, or even in the market. Evan lent him an iPod, and that had boosted Deans new interest. Over the years, dean had been invited to Evans dance studio, to perform for free due to his natural talent. He was still quiet in school, the same shy dean, but there was a purpose for him now, not just an accident trouble child.
Then, he was taken. It was all a lie, Child Protection Services come to take him away from his mother, who had been reported as unable to take care of him. The parting was brief, they hardly allowed dean to pack before he was escorted to that black car, with the tinted windows. He remembered crying and screaming, refusing to be taken from the one person he loved so much, but the men in black suits locked the doors and prevented the windows from opening. As soon as they were out of view, a needle had been stabbed into his neck, and he was unconsious.

Scarlett grew up with a fairly suicidal teen mother in Bakersfield, California. Scar’s father had left her mother because he didn’t want to be a father yet, only having just gotten out of high-school. So things weren’t that great for Scarlett and her mother for a long time. Though her mother finally got a steady job and a house for her and her daughter, but then Scarlett got taken away to the lab to basically become an experiment. Her mother had fought to keep her, the girl being the light of her life. Two years after Scarlett had been taken away, her mother had another child with a different man. The child was a baby boy, named Caleb. Scarlett suffered major stress in the labs, being the most damaged from the group. She wasn’t the one tested on the most, but she just suffered a lot of anxiety issues.

She’s often wearing sunglasses to cover her eyes, scared her heat vision will act up and maybe hurt someone. She’s often found alone playing the violin, piano, listing to music, or even sketching. She’s quite the artist, and she absolutely adores music and art. Sometimes she’ll fall into a very depressed and emotional state, but you wouldn’t be able to tell unless you know her well, because she’ll just fake smile and say she’s fine. That’s when she’ll want to be alone the most, since she’s not used to expressing her emotions.

History: Deangelo was born on a small island just outside of Rio de Janeiro, his mother was an escaped prisoner who had volunteered her unborn child to a group of scientist for a very promising reward. But before her son was born she got scared and ran, Her and her child lived on their little island for 5 years, she loved her little boy. But their paradise would not stay, the scientist found them but Elio's mother stood in the way, so they killed her. Elio watched his mother die, a brutal murder, and that was the start of his constant rage. He was taken to America, a stranger in a new country, and forced to live with his mother's killers.
Through out the years he lived his life under the watchful eye of the scientist he never once gave them a good time, he would fight them each chance he got, he'd try and run, punch and kick his way out of anything, there came a point when he was handcuffed and had to be escorted everywhere he went.
When Elio escaped he brought his few possessions with him, the clothes on his back, and a picture of his mother. He found an abandoned cabin by the ocean which he turned into a house. He remembers very little of his life on the island he was born on and very little of his mother, but she taught him how to play the piano and that is the thing he remembers most about her.
Personality: Elio has always been a very loud kid. From a distance he seems like every other teen but he has a habit of being very cocky, loud and a very strange. He loves to fight, no matter who it is, and he's almost always found with a smirk on his face. His leadership skills are poor seeming as he's always been more of a lone wolf type but when someone is in danger he always puts his life in the way. He doesn't believe he's better than you, he knows he is.

History: Claire parents died in a car accident when she was 9 years old. She was immediately put into foster care since no other relatives wanted her. When she was 10 years old some people came and took her to the labs. Claire immediately disliked the place. Claire didn't even speak for a week when she first got there. And since then she only muttered a few words. She hated all the experiments and wished for her old life back. Claire however liked the fighting training there thinking it would be useful.
Personality: Before coming to the labs Claire was a nice sweet person. The labs changed her. Claire turned angry and very skiddish. She didn't trust anyone there and gained new fears there. The only thing that gave her hope there and kept her from going mad was the memories of her past. Today since she escaped, she feels free and alive again.

History:As a child, Dante had been a friendly, loving kid that was loved by everyone. He loved life, and everything about it. But as the years went passed, Dante noticed his family falling apart when his parents began to argue almost every day, and his father always threatening divorce. When Dante was 9, his parents had finally split and got divorced, and he had went to live with his mother. She had even more loving than his father, and he didn't have a choice who he wanted to live with anyways. He hasn't seen his father since he was 9, and when he was 10, his mother and him had been hit by a drunk driver, killing his mother and leaving Dante an orphan. He was put in foster care a fewonths after, and was adopted by one of the scientists at the lab, but Dante was experimented on just like the rest of the children who were there. He escaped with the others and has been with them ever since, but tends to stay away.

History: Christopher grew up with a druggie for a mom and a power hungry dad. His father was rich and was a big time star, always looking for something to keep him at the head of the crowd. History: Ronnie was always a bit of a troublemaker, even when she was little. She would get curious about something and want to find out everything she could about it. This was what caused her to get kidnapped and experimented on. She was walking home from school when she noticed a van following her, every time she turned around, it stopped. Normally, if a van was following someone, they’d run away, but not Ronnie, she went up to the van and stood in front of it and started asking questions. They didn’t answer any of them and a man grabbed her from the back and knocked her out with chloroform. After that, they took her to the labs, she was experimented on, and it scarred her. After her and a few others escaped, she kept having awful dreams about them finding her all over again.
Personality: Like I said before, she’s a troublemaker and very outgoing. She has a very bubbly personality and is fun to be around, as long as you don’t mention the experiments. Nicholas was born on December 21st in a small hospital in Oakland, California. While he was maturing in the hospitals care, he was kidnapped by four people in lab coats. Since then, he's grown up in The Lab. He's never met anyone other than the scientists that experiment on him. For as long as he can remember, he has been poked, stabbed, and basically tortured by the scientists. Everyday, they would inject some sort of mysterious substance in him, for reasons he didn't know. After long days of experimentation, they would isolate him in a dark cell with a temperature that almost froze him to death. When he turned six years old, he was strapped to a table, the scientists about to do who knows what to him. Nicholas was fed up with their sadistic ways. When one of the scientists walked up to him, Nicholas glared at him. He didn't exactly know what happened next, but the scientist suddenly collapsed onto the ground, unmoving. He was quickly thrown back to his cell while the scientists tried to figure out what had happened. Nicholas later found out that he had frozen the man's internal organs and had killed him. Ever since that incident, the scientists had been afraid of him, since he could basically kill them with just the snap of his finger. Despite this, they began exposing him to extreme temperatures and tried to find a way to control Nicholas's power. At the age of eleven, he started to try and find a way out of The Lab. The first time he tried, he was caught. The scientist punished him by locking him in his cell for three days without food or water. They threatened him, that the next time he tried to escape, the punishment would be worse. Four years had passed until he decided to try and escape again.

Aaron was born on April 19th and raised by his mother, Winry, and father, David. Growing up, he didn't have a very wealthy family, and lived in a small house. His parents struggled to make money and raise their son at the same time. At the age of seven, Aaron's mother was murdered. By who, he never found out. Since then, he and his father rarely spoke to each other. Five years later, Aaron was kidnapped out of his own house. Despite him and his father not being as close as they were, his father still tried to save him from his kidnappers, but was killed in the process. Later, Aaron found himself in some sort of lab. That's when life became hell for him. He was tortured everyday he spent there and was injected with some sort of substance. When Aaron turned fourteen, he was sitting in his cell. It was the beginning of another day and a scientist had come up to the door.
When he was asked to come to the experimenting lab, he refused. The scientist came inside his cell, deciding to take him by force. Only, before he could touch Aaron, his entire body was severed in half. Later, other scientists and guards came to check out the scene.
Ever since, the scientists have been scared of him. They kept their distance, but still experimented on him, interested in his newly developed power. When Aaron was sixteen, the scientists made him an offer. They were beginning to realize that he could kill them at any time, and now that Aaron was maturing, he wanted his freedom more than anything. They offered that Aaron work for them. If he did, he could earn his release. Aaron accepted, though hates what he has to do.
