Josh brought her out to the entrance. He smiled taking a deep breath of fresh air. Then he sat down on the grass.
"It's nice out here." He comments.

"I agree. I sit out here all the time!" She beamed

Josh chuckled at how happy she was. He nodded.
"Yeah, I used to come out here just to relax and calm down." He says to her.

"Yes. I come out here and draw almost all the time." She whispered. Smiling at the thought. Then sighed. She would never stay here too late. She had to get home before her father...

Josh glanced at her when she went silent. He read her expression.
"Are you ok?" He asks her politely.

"Yes, just thinking is all..." She giggled and looked up at him. Then she blushed deeply. She had just.... Giggled!?!! She looked down smiling.

Josh chuckled when he heard her giggle. But then he saw her blush. He laughed.
"Wow, I think I mentioned this before but I got to do it again. You are pretty cute when you blush." He tells her grinning.

She blushed deeper and covered her face with her hands. "Oh no!" She smiled and blushed more. This was embarrassing

Josh laughed again.
"You are funny." He tells her but waits for her to calm herself back down. Josh glanced at her out of the corner of his eye grinning again.

Maya peeked up at him and sighed. She smiled and dropped her hands. "You are such a pain in my butt.." She chuckled

"I am? I find that pretty funny." Josh tell her laughing. He nudges her a little and smiles.
"But I know you like it." He tells her laughing again.

Maya flushed! How could he tell!? She ducked her head and smiled. "Psssh.... No way.." She mumbled.

((Gtg to work. Be back tonight))

"Then why are you looking away?" He asks her. Josh smiles happily knowing he caught her. He chuckles again.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." He says laughing again.

She spun around and punched him playfully in the arm and giggled. "You're mean!" She declared while smiling brightly

Josh held is arm lien she hurt him.
"That's not very nice either." He jokes with her while grinning. Finally he lets his arm drop.
"But your forgiven." He tells her.

Maya narrowed her eyes, but she still managed to smile up at the boy. "Hey! You're the one who is suppose to apologize." She muttered

Josh put his hand up in surrender smiling.
"Ok, ok! To be fair......I'm sorry." Josh tells her finally. He sat grinning at her.

"You are forgiven.... Maybe." She held her chin high and gave a small giggle

"Ohh, I see how you are playing. You want me to beg." Josh says. Then he gets in front of her on his knees.
"Maya I'm dearly sorry for my attitude. Will you my dear ever forgive me?" He tells her smiling the whole time.

Maya flushed brightly. "Fine! Get up! Dot do that! Your forgiven! Get up!" She rushed her words

Josh stood laughing.
"Hey it's your fault you didn't forgive me. If you haven't noticed I'm pretty persistent." Josh tells her grinning.

"Oh, I've noticed..." She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.

Josh nods and taps her shoulder lightly.
"And that's why you are my best friend!" He tells her laughing again.

Maya blushed.
"Best friend?"
She whispered. She was his best friend. This was... Great! Amazing even!

"Yeah why not? You seem nice to me and that's really all that matters." Josh tells her shrugging. Josh was a little surprised at her reaction though. She looked very taken aback.

Maya grinned and soon she was hugging him. She couldn't help if

Josh chuckled when she hugged him. She hugged her back.
"You seem pretty happy right now." Josh tells her pulling back.

"Yes..." She whispered. Then a sudden worry filled her. She jerked back with wide eyes. "What time is it!?".

"Well uhhh...I'm not sure. Let me check." Josh says. He pulls out his phone. He looks down at it and it reads 3:34.
"Oh it's 3:34. Why?" Josh asks showing her the phone.

Fear settled inside maya. No.... She was late. "I have to go..." She whispered. She but her lip. "I'm so sorry!" She turned and began to run to her house. Her dad was going to kill her!!

Josh was confused. He watched her go. But worry settled inside him. He saw her expression. She looked terrified. Should he follow her? Josh stood and started to follow behind her. He wanted to see if she would be ok.

Josh leads Maya to the school entrance. He laughs and sits on a bench.
"How's school so far?" He asks knowing that they just got there.

She laughed and shrugged. "Okay..." She smiled and rolled her eyes

"I hope so." Josh replies. He smirks at her expression.

Maya laughed and rolled her eyes. She bit her lip and blushed

"Now you better get to class don't want to be late on your first day back." Josh tells her smiling.

"Right!" She leaned up and kissed him once before running to class

Josh chuckled as she ran away. He go up and walked to his class wondering how she was feeling right then.
