Josh balanced all his bags and books in his arms as he quickly went through the hallway. He was done with school for the day and just wanted to leave. Right before he turned the corner he knocked right into someone. He cursed quietly.

Maya let out a small yelp and collapsed to the ground. Her book and papers sent flying. She closed her eyes hugging herself. How stupid of her.

Josh quickly helped the girl up. He picked up her papers and held them out to her. Josh smiled at her.
"Sorry about that, just in a hurry. Are you ok? You went down pretty hard." Josh tells her.

She hid her head. Her face was a bright red. Her hands trembled. No on had really noticed her here.. She peeked through her bangs at him. Then just nodded, incredible shy

She looked at him. She turned her fCe to the side so he wouldn't be able to see the bruises among her left side. "Maya..." She whispere hugging her books to her chest

"Well that's a very nice name." Josh replies smiling again. When he saw her turn her head he turned his too. Josh saw the bruise.
"Damn...I'm really sorry. Ugh, let me grab you some ice." Josh says quickly.

(Yeah, it's fine I just went with it))

Maya blushed. "No! It wasn't you!" She whispered baking her head and ducking her head. "A bruise forms within fifteen minutes..." She whispered (totally made that up) "it wasn't you... I'm sorry..." She whispered and turned to leave.

Josh grabbed her hand gently.
"Why should you be sorry. I'm the giant that just ran a innocent girl over. And if so had did you get that bruise?" Josh asks her.

((It's alright i would have guessed too.))

Maya looked up and nervously shook her head. She couldn't tell this boy... What happened if her father asked him to spy on her... She trembled. "I just... Fell at home was all..." She whispered. Maya didn't have on the best clothing. Just some to big of jeans and a baggy t-shirt

"Trouble at home too? Tell me about it." Josh replies. He knew what she meant. He is going through the same thing. Josh saw her glance at her clothing.

"I'm fine..." She whispered. "Everything at home is fine." She nodded. Her curls bouncing.

"You can talk louder. I know I'm pretty big but I'm completely harmless." He tells her grinning.

"I said everything is fine!" She yelled. She looked up at him. Her blue grey eyes wide and full of fear. But not of him.

"Whoa...when i said speak louder i didn't exactly mean that." Josh tell her. He looks around uncomfortable now.
"Sorry for interrupting didn't mean to upset you." He tells her.

Maya ducked her head and began to cry. "I'll just embarrass you... People will tease you for hanging out with me. I'm a loser josh... You seem like a nice guy and I don't want to ruin your life.." She whispered

Josh touched her shoulder lightly trying to comfort her.
"You would have to have a lot of guts to tease me. I'm captain of the football team." He tells her.
"And trust me you won't ruin my life. You made my day actually." He says.

Maya blushed brightly. "I don't see why you would talk to me.." She wiped her tears and sniffled

"I don't see why you talk to me. you are nice, pretty, and gentle. You aren't fake like most girls." He tells her.

Maya blushed and actually smiled. She hadn't smiled in so long tht it kind of hurt.

Josh chuckled at her blush. He smiled.
"Wanna walk with me? I have no where to go." He asks her polietly.

She looke around and then nodded."I-okay.." She whispered nervously.

"I don't bite." He tells her laughing slightly. Josh smiles and starts walking.
"So tell me about yourself." He says.

"Nothing much to tell.." She nodded and glanced up at him again. "I'm pretty boring actually..." She nodded

"No, I beg to disagree. Just tell me your hobbies, favorites, sports, activities, family." Josh says to her smiling. He liked this girl. She was different, in a good way.

"Drawing, cooking, blue, green, zebra, gentle music..." She nodddd. Not speaking of family. She couldn't.

Josh smiles happy she opened up slightly.
"See? You aren't boring." He says to her. Josh sees some people eye them in the hallway. Josh glances down at Maya to see if she noticed.

"I am simply... Plain... Boring.." She nodded. She sighed and looked up instantly blushing noticing him staring at her.

Josh chuckled again seeing her blush.
"You know you are very cute when you blush." He tells her smiling.

Maya blushed deeper causing her bruise to stand out more. "Don't compliment me!" She then giggled lightly

Josh laughed out loud. He saw her bright red face. Josh just shook his head at her.
"You are different." He tells her smiling to show he meant well.

She blushed brightly. Her face bright red. Oh my... She looked away and continued to walk

Josh walked through the hallways next to her. He chuckles at her blushing. Josh then sees the bruise on the side of her head again. He frowns.
"Are you going to tell me what happened?" He asks her.

Maya looked down upon her feet again and frowned. "I just tripped.." She whaipered.

"You seriously think I'm falling for that? If you really tripped look me in the eyes and say it." Josh tells her trying to get the truth from her.

Maya looked up. Her eyes sad and full of fear. "I can't risk telling you"

Josh stared at her for a while. He waited to see if she would say anything else. Finally he just have up and looked away.
"Ok fine whatever." He tells her frustrated.

((Sorry it took me a while to respond. I thought I did, but then I noticed I didn't.))

"I don't want you hurt too...." She whispered. She looked down ashamed. "I'm sorry... I have to go." She even messed this up... She spun around and began to walk quickly towards the exit. He hated her didn't he?

Josh heart skipped a beat when she walked away. He really made her that upset. Josh called after her which made people stare. He grabbed her hand again gently.
"Please I'm Begging you don't go. I didn't mean to upset you. I just wanted to help you." She says.

((He says* haha sorry))

Maya looked up at him. "I... Can't tell you here. I just can't. It would be.. Bad..." She whispered.

Josh sighs nodding in defeat.
"Ok, I won't pressure you anymore to tell me. I guess I'll just have to gain your trust first." Josh says grinning slightly trying to lighten the mood
Again.

Maya smiled and sighed. "You are so silly.." She whispered. He never gave up did he?

Josh smiles. He nudge her gently.
"It's my job. And I must say I think I'm pretty good at it." He tells her laughing.

She laughed, her laugh was sweet. "I see now." She whispered. She looked up at him with her blue grey eyes. "Want to go somewhere else?" She asked

Josh nods smiling.
"Yes, you got a place in mind?" He asks her looking down at her. Josh was happy he could hang out with her. She seemed really sweet and kind.

"How about the schools entrance?" She asked. It was pretty there and she liked it a lot
