■||Cameron Ellie Tallison||■

Cold weather. Why does it have to be cold today? That thought ran over and over again in Cameron's mind as she stood and got her bike hooked up with chains to the lamp pole so no one could steal it or take a joy ride. She had gotten up late today but was on time as usual. She didn't like being late. She wore black boots, dark blue jeans, a grey shirt, green, white and black checkered blouse as a jacket, a black insulation type jacket and a lavender scarf along with a completely contrast orange knitted cap. Sighing she could feel her muscles starting to not cooperate.

Her flaming bright red hair blew in the breeze, sending a chill into her body despite the many layers she wore. Standing and getting her satchel strap to hold onto she placed her other free hand into her jacket pocket as she walked towards the school building. She was actually looking forward to English class later since the teacher had threatened with a possible pop quiz. Unlike the majority of her fellows Cameron adored pop quizzes. However she would have a difficult day today because of the weather. It was always like this on cold days. It was a shame. She had always adored the snow. But that was before. She barely noticed her classmates stares as she made her way into the warm comfort of the building.

Red had never been to a school before. It was going to be.. Very odd. Probably bad on some cases because she would most likely get pissed off. It was her nature, she couldn't possibly help it. As the cold wind blew through her light clothes a shiver ran through red. Oh goodness! I don't like this!!! she thought as she wrapped her arms around her cold body.
With her blue eyes Red glanced around. She saw kids with backpacks, some with big looking shirts... Oh wait.... Jackets maybe? A sigh left Reds lips. She was supposed to be normal but how could she be when she didn't know anything? She looked up once more and pulled back her dark red hair into a "bun". She had learned that in a 'magazine'. Red smirked a bit proud of herself. She stretched her arms and chuckled. I can do this! she cheered herself on silently.
Now, Red marched her small little body to the entrance in her shorts and blue little tee and her bright yellow shoes clanked against the ground.

Cameron sighed. Bloody idiots. She thought that of her fellow classmates staring like apes at her. No that was too rude, apes were smarter. But that was the norm here. The odd ones got stares while the popular girls and jocks got all the recognition. As Cameron headed straight towards the door she noted from the side came a girl. One that was particularly weird. Cameron smirked however. Red hair. Like her. Though not everyone with red hair was nice. Stacey, the head cheerleader had red hair and a personality similar to that of a viper. But as Cameron continued staring at the girl she became all the more aware this girl was more then just weird.

She was dressed for summer! Frowning Cameron wondered if the girl was drunk or from another state. She would be freezing by now. Sighing and knowing not to get involved Cameron ignored her gut instinct and made a bee line towards the odd summer bright girl. As she reached her at the school doors Cameron reached out and grabbed her shoulder and turned her around to face her. "Excuse me, but are you completely insane or just wasted?" Cameron asked a little harshly. But that was her on first impressions. She was actually sweet after someone actually got to know her. Besides, she was just really concerned. People died from hypothermia in this kind of weather and that kind of dress.

After walking for what felt like forever, Red thought she would die from the cold. But as she reached the school doors someone had touched her shoulders and spun her around. In that instant she wasn't cold at all.... She was angry! Why would this girl touch her?! With her eyes narrowed Red went to reply, "I am certainly not insane which is hard for me to say for you! And..." Red blushed. What had that meant... "Wasted? What is that? Are you calling me trash?"

Wow. What a little fireball. That was the first thought that entered Cameron's mind as the girl who was now fully turned made a face and got all loud. Cameron could tell she was mad. But why? Well... Maybe her introduction was a little... Miff. Blinking Cameron removed her hand from the girl's shoulder and just stood there, making it clear that the other girl's reaction was strange to say the least. And who didn't know what 'wasted' meant these days? It was beyond strange. And Cameron's face said as much. "Uh..... You don't know what 'wasted' means?" She asked incredulously.

Before even waiting for an answer Cameron took a breath. "Look it's just your walking around in summer clothes in the middle of winter. I thought you may be a little impaired. Wasted means drunk by the way, like you had one too many, too much fruity cocktails, too much alcohol, you know? But I didn't mean to offend you, not really. I was just concerned since any normal person would be freezing their botox out. But I see now my concern is not only unwelcome but wasted. Sorry to bother you." Cameron said as her face became even harsher and she stepped past the girl, entering the school building.

Red was a bit confused for a moment. She froze then was running after the girl. "Oh wait!" She sighed. Why did she have to have such a temper. This girl seemed... Nice? She ran up catching up with her. "Summer and winter?" She sputtered. "What's... What's the difference? Hot and not so hot or...?"

Cameron had made it past the doors of the school when she heard a voice calling out behind her. She sighed and stopped before turning around. She crossed her arms and watched as the mysterious girl stopped before her. Then she again raised her brows after she spoke. "You don't know the difference between summer and winter? Geesh where did you grow up? Underground?" Then sighing again Cameron shook her head and reached out, again grabbing the girl's hand. "Come with me."

Then Cameron lead her through the entrance hall of the school into the inner belly of the beast so to speak. Ducking expertly between halls filled with students Cameron lead the girl to the hall where the lockers where stored. Stopping in front of her own she released the girl's hand and opened up her locker before throwing the door open and rummaging through it for her small backpack with extra clothes. Finding it she took it out and zipped it open before searching through that. Finding an extra jacket she pulled it out and closed her backpack again before returning it to her locker. "Here." She said simply, holding out the warm jacket towards the other girl.

Red felt a tang bit of fear when the girl asked the question about the unground. She basically had grown up in a place like that. It was the most horrible place she had ever been. Chills ran through her the whole time as the girl with red hair pulled her through the school and dodged some kids. She sighed and just let the girl drag her. How lovely.
As red tried on the jacket she blushed. The length of the jacket was way to long for her short little arms. "Oh my... It's so warm though..." She whispered.

Cameron stood and watched as the other girl with red hair shrugged the jacket on. She couldn't help but grin at her. "Yeah..... Sorry it's the smallest size, it doesn't fit me either, hence why it's a backup jacket. Here." Cameron said in a soft caring and helpful voice, perhaps not unlike a mother voice. Reaching out she stepped towards the girl and lifted her arms up and out before going to her wrists and rolling up the sleeves helpfully. Then she stepped back. "There. That should help. So. Are you a new student here?" Cameron asked as her demeanor returned to the cold and stark one of before. She transferred her weight around on her feet while she crossed her arms, studying the girl. She didn't even have a backpack or seemed to possess any school supplies let alone books. So if she wasn't a student then why had she come to the school? And more importantly, from where?

Red flinched slightly as the girl stepped towards her. It was a habit that she truly couldn't help. She hoped the girl didn't see it. She watched as the girl magically rolled up the sleeves on her arms. Her eyes grew large and she looked up at the girl. "Cool..." She mumbled. Maybe this girl and her could become 'friends'. Listening intently as the girl asked her question Red blushed before she could even reply. After a moment of silence she have a small nod. To be honest, she was new to everything out in this world. It scared her sometimes too.

This girl was really weird. She had flinched when Cameron came closer, she had noted but said nothing. Then she stared as if Cameron had levitated when she had merely rolled up her sleeves. Strange. Maybe this girl was from the country? Like in the outback or something. When she nodded merely at Cameron's question she raised her eyebrows up high. "Oookay.... Well then where is your backpack? Your books? Your schedule?" She asked inquisitively since unless this girl was keeping the items somehow under her clothing Cameron was sure she had none of those things. And honestly which sober student didn't have that stuff. Even the kids who bailed school halfway through the day carried their stuff around. It was beyond strange. Not to mention the principle hadn't announced that a new student was coming to the school.

Red's cheek became red as the girl read of a list of thing she didn't have. "I came to sign up for school!?" She suggested. She had failed! She was a failure. She ducked her head and felt the tears sting her eyes. This was so stupid!! With her emotions out of control that meant her powers were too. Soon, the earth began to shake only slightly. Red felt herself panic and looked up at the girl with wide eyes. She had to get out of here. Too many people... She spun around eyes searching for an exit. She needed out! Out!!

Well that was absurdly different from her first answer. It was something that Cameron couldn't help but think as she watched the girl blushing brightly. How odd indeed. Then Cameron frowned as the girl ducked her head. Was... Was she crying? What? This was too weird even for Cameron considering what was inside her own body. Then the girl's head snapped up so quickly it startled Cameron into taking a step backwards. Then she turned around. Cameron knew then. She had seen the signs hundreds of times. She reached out and gently laid her arms around the girl's shoulders and lead her further into the school. Once she found an empty classroom she entered and closed the door behind her and sat the girl down into a chair. Then she crouched beside her. "Just take a deep breath. Your having a panic attack."

Red panted slightly as Cameron and her finally arrived to her destination. Red wiped some sweat forming on her forehead. She bit her lip and looked around. Hey... She was warm. Guess that was one way to stay warm... Running! She blushed and looked at Cameron. "Thanks...." She mumbled. She wasn't good at thanking people. She didn't do it... At all.

Cameron finally stopped once she reached her bike. Then she let go of the Red's hand and slipped her hand inside her jeans pocket and pulled out her keys. "Your welcome." She said simply before getting the lock unlocked and the chain as well, depositing both into her backpack Cameron lifted up the one and only helmet and would have held it simply out for the girl but something told her she wouldn't get it. So instead Cameron walked over and placed the helmet over the girl's head and secured the strap. "This is for safety." She said before getting on her bike, kicking the stander up and inserting her keys. Turning the ignition the bike roared to life. Then Cameron turned to Red. "Hop on." She informed.

Red slipped onto the two wheeled thing and held on tightly to cameron. She was afraid she'd fall off. She bit her lip and glanced around. The helmet on her head felt heavy and similar to those that they had at the labs. She trembled. "Oh goodness.." She whispered.

Cameron smirked as she glanced behind her. "Don't worry about it. I'm an excellent driver. Just hold on tight!" She said before kicking the bike into gear and speeding off. Cameron laughed as the girl screeched behind her. She kept within the speed limit however and drove away. About an hour later they were on a country lane road and Cameron decided it was safe to up the speed. Fifteen minutes later they arrived in front of her grandfather's home. Cameron drove up and along the long driveway and finally made it to the garages at the back. One opened automatically and she drove in, parked and shut the engine off. They were home.

Josh parked the car in the parking lot. He quickly hopped out and opened the door for Maya. He smiled as she stepped out. He could already hear gasps.

Maya blushed. "Maybe I should go home.." She mumbled. This was weird. She didn't... She was usually ignored by people. She sighed. "Nevermind..." She took his hand with her good one and blushed nervously.

Josh pulled her to his side as he walked though the parking lot after shutting and locking the car. Josh nodded to the others who stared at them.

"This is weird...@ she whispered. "They are staring at you.." She nodded

Josh laughed.
"You may want to check again. Because they aren't staring at me. I can assure you that's not it." He tells her with a grin.

Maya looked confused. "But you're amazing!" She whispered squeezing his hand. There was no way they were looking at her...

Josh shook his head. He leaned into her ear.
"You're the amazing one. They all are looking at you." He tells her smiling. Josh put a arm around her as they walked.

((Ok goodnight!))

She blushed deeply and looked down at her feet. "Josh." She giggled.

Josh looked around.
"Hmmm?" He says happily. He saw her blush and chuckled.

She looked up and smiled. "Thanks..."

"I just say the truth." He says to her smiling.

She laughed and shook her head. This was so new..
