A Dog's Purpose discussion

The first book I read was A Dog’s Purpose. It is told from the perspective of a dog, who is owned by someone named Ethan. When the dog dies, it is reincarnated into many different dogs until finally he comes back to Ethan, when he is much older. Throughout the whole book, the dog tries to find its purpose, which is helping its owner and others. It doesn’t fulfill its purpose until it brings Ethan back with his first love Hannah, and gives him one final moment of happiness by playing with him right before his death. This resonated with me because my dog is 13, so he might not live for much longer. Obviously something like dog reincarnation isn’t a likely possibility, but it would be cool to have the same dog twice.
