I'm excited to go to this, and I thought others might also be interested...
LOIS LOWRY Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at Town Hall Seattle, 1119 Eighth Avenue
Presented by SEATTLE ARTS & LECTURES.
A rare visit by two-time Newbery Medal-winning author Lois Lowry is an occasion indeed. Author of The Giver, Number the Stars, The Silent Boy (all from Random House), and over two dozen more books for young adults and children, Lois Lowry's work has varied tremendously in style and subject matter, yet each underscores the importance of human connection. Her most recent books are Gooney the Fabulous (Walter Lorraine Books) and, coming soon, The Willoughbys (Houghton Mifflin, due March 31).
This talk will be suitable for readers of all ages. For information and tickets ($18/$9 students/under age 25), please see http://www.lectures.org, or call (206) 621-2230. Town Hall Seattle is located at 1119 Eighth Avenue (at Seneca).
