For this article I have assessed six different online plagiarism checking tools using the same unique post.

These are the results...

PLAGIARISM CHECKER
www.plagiarismchecker.com
Line must have more than 6 words and less than 32 words.
Tested = Worked - Best success rate

DUPLICHECKER
www.duplichecker.com
Need to create a free account to do multiple searches.
Tested = Worked most of the time

PLAGIARISMA
plagiarisma.net
Need to create a free account to access unlimited version.
Tested = Worked most of the time

PLAGIARISM DETECT
plagiarism-detect.com
Does not find all matches.
Tested = Failed

SMALL SEO TOOLS PLAGIARISM CHECKER
smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker
Does not find all matches.
Tested = Failed

DUSTBALL PLAGIARISM CHECKER
www.dustball.com/cs/plagiarism.checker
Does not find all matches.
Tested = Failed

Here is a tip for searching:

1 – Copy the third paragraph of your article
2 – Go to http://www.plagiarismchecker.com and sign in
3 – In the Search With box use the drop down to select Google
4 – Paste your text into the SearchBox and click on Search

Always use the third paragraph of your article to search. Content thieves often just change the first and last paragraphs.

If you want to check your own work, or see if anyone else is ripping you off, I recommend using www.plagiarismchecker.com.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
If something has only recently been posted, it may take some time to get indexed by the search engines.

Do you have a favorite free tool for checking for plagiarism? Have you run tests to make sure the tool you use is accurate?
