Helter Skelter discussion

I found this to be the scariest true story I have ever read. The fact that all this occurred, is truly frightening. Who agrees, or has another true story book or book which you found truly scary.

When I saw your comment "scariest true story I have ever read," my initial thought before I even saw your title was Helter Skelter. I read this many years ago, everyone else in my home was asleep, and it just about scared me out of my wits. One other one that was terrifying was Night Stalker - the story of Richard Ramirez. I was never terrified to be alone at night until I read this book.

Same here. I once read a chapter just before going to bed. Not a good idea. Got up to check whether the door was locked.
