BBC announced that they will start filming Sherlock in January 2015. They will start with a special episode followed by the three new episodes we've been waiting for.

I just have to think the whole time: Will there be a Sherlock and a Doctor Who christmas special next year? That would make Christmas even more awesome!

It would be more of a Christmas in July kind of thing, though... Since it would take a few months to build up hype and that kind of thing.

Based on the books I would say Mary, but I don't think the tv show is going to be so predictable.

I also didn't mean Sherlock :) I also meant Mark Gatiss and especially Steven Moffat!
I'm not sure if Mary's death will be predictable (if she dies), maybe they will do it similar to the books and Mary will survive it and then suddenly when everyone thinks everything will be fine they will break our hearts...

I think maybe Mycroft will die, and we will see some sort of family bonding between the 2 holmes brothers.
