It's less than a ton, but more than a bit. The group is a blast though, so it's all worth it. Cindy modded for over a year (since April 2013), I bet she's ready to kick back and just read :D. lol

This is not an announcement about moderating, but I feel obligated to make a general announcement about my high level of distraction for the month of July. I'm just giving in to it for the month, and hope to be back and reading for August.

July does that to many of us. Not really a reading kind of month -- and the world news is scary too. Take care, and thanks to MK and Bob for all you do to keep this group going.

We have two new group moderators!!

Matt has agreed to become the moderator for New School Classics.

After taking some time off Kathy has returned as a Group Moderator. She will start off by taking over our Quarterly Long Read. She is a long time member, a great contributor, and one of the best moderators we've had. I for one am very happy she is back.

Christine has decided to step down as moderator at the end of this month, due to her ongoing work commitments. She has been a great asset to our group and while we wish her well for the future, we hope that she'll continue to drop by and join in our group discussions when time allows :)

Melanti has kindly agreed to become our new moderator and we welcome her to the role! She has been a wonderful group member and we're excited that she's going to take a turn at moderating! Thank you!

I knew that we were going to announce this news yesterday, but I forgot I would be out of town for most of the day. I want to thank Christine for the many hours she has worked to make our group successful. Her ideas and judgement have been excellent. Always thoughtful and to the point, she will be missed. I will look forward to her posts when she has time to visit us and I wish her great success in furthering her education and career.

I also want to say welcome to Melanti. I agree with Pink, she has been a terrific group member. I have been reading and enjoying her posts for several years. And I’m pleased she has agreed to become a moderator. Welcome aboard!!
