I'm not 100% sure of this, but I believe I'm straight. However, I do support the LGBT+ community, and I want the Goodreads community to be aware of my personal views on that. I know a person who is trans and have interacted with and met other LGBT+ individuals. The hate circulating right now is unacceptable and I want to show my support. It's nice to meet you all :)

The hate and especially the discrimination. I don't see how people can get away with such blatant discrimination...

Yeah. It's not right. And I live in a part of the country where it definitely exists in government as well… thankfully, it's not so rampant in my community.

There is even something here on Goodreads that I personally do not agree with… I won't go into much detail, but basically, it's been agreed upon to keep things civil and friendly despite differences in belief. However, I do think it important to show my position as an individual.

I live in arizona...a place where a guy can tattoo his entire body with cheetah spots, walk down the street, in only shorts, and no one asks why lol

Haha, at least people don't look at him in disgust. It's his choice, after all. I've never been to Arizona XD

Hi guys! And thanks Alia for the invitation. I'm glad these kind of groups are here on Goodreads because like most websites, it's an outlet for opinions and awareness. I am publicly a huge supporter of the LGBT community. I have many people in my life that this effects personally. I consider myself and activist, and there's no reason that this community should be treated any separately than straight people. We are all human.

I'm straight, but I am a HUGE supporter of the LGBT+ community. I will defend anyone who is unfairly discriminated against. Being a woman of color, I am also against sexism and racism of any kind. Every person should be treated with the respect they deserve and I don't care if you are a purple, twenty feet tall person with horns growing out of your head, I will treat you like I treat everyone else. :)

I'm the same way as a white heterosexual guy. Heck I would prefer a purple twenty foot tall person with horns if they're kind over a white heterosexual jerk any day!

:) Well, it's your choice if you want to delete it or not. I've debated about deleting mine several times as well. I could always fix that problem, though XD I really enjoy talking to people here; I'm just sometimes too busy to keep up with everyone, even though I'd like to. But I do want to reach out beyond the limits of my main group a bit more these days, as much as I appreciate everyone in that group :)
