I can't remember if he's mentioned in Farseer - but he is mentioned in the Tawny Man series. The bad guys called themselves the Piebalds after the Piebald Prince.

I thought it fitting that all Felicity's mum's clever scheming comes undone at the end. It's ironic that she's done all this for her daughter and yet has a very poor relationship with her daughter. Maybe she was doing it all for herself.

So far, I liked it! A perfect storytelling style for how long this novella is, with a good blend of telling and showing.

It was mentioned somewhere in the Tawny man series something about "Piebalds", and being witted which meant they were to be quartered and bla bla bla. Def not in Farseer.
For me the story was really tragic, I never expected it to be about mother and son. I wanted to get to know Lostler a bit more too, I hope there are other novellas like this. Felicity was an interesting POV for me, it was like "behind the scenes of the horror of being a Farseer", except that the Princess had it going well for her, until she got so heartbroken, depressed and gave up. Felicity's mom, I wonder if there are jobs that are like this still? What a nightmare!
