Kelly Terry | 2 comments So I just finished reading the series for the first time and I really love Jacob and Nessie together, but I can't find any good stories on them. Also Seth Clearwater is one of my favorite wolves, so if anyone knows any good stories let me know please!

Opinions on Jacob and Nessie??

Grinch97 | 1 comments I absolutely love Jacob and Renesmee together! and Carlisle Cullen is one of my favorites.

message 3: by Nicolina (new)

Nicolina Scammell Hi! I do love them together. I love how it all came together so that Jacob could remain part of their lives forever.

I always wonder though, what would have happened if Bella chose Jacob instead? I know the logic of why she was attracted to him was because Nessie was technically inside of her, so what if she chose him over Edward?! Weird concept to think about!

Luan (luan_666) | 8 comments Not my favorite couple to be honest. Creepy. I really like Nessie as a character though. I hope SM writes a story revolving about her instead of half-important secondary characters that made an appearance like once...

Shade? What shade?

Makiyah | 9 comments No offense but... if anyone likes "Nessie" and Jacob together... you are extremely, extremely, extremely weird. Jacob imprinted on a newborn baby the second she came out of her mom's vagina. It's not the character's fault. It's the author's fault for trying to "solve" a messy love triangle plot hole.

Jacob is sixteen but he is described as looking and having the maturity of a grown adult. It's the most disgusting storyline I've ever heard in my life and I feel like not only should that not have been a plot at all, but if she were going to throw a baby into the mix, might as well at least have her come up with a much more appropriate love interest and just drop Jacob all together.

Isabella | 7 comments i think Nessie and Jacob are amazing. you have to remember that if a wolf imprints on a baby (like jacob did) then he’s not even thinking about anything romantic at that moment, he’s being a big brother to her, being her friend. he will always be there for her whenever she needs to talk or anything. it’s only when she grows up and starts getting to be his age (because he doesn’t age during this time) does she realize that she is starting to have feelings for him. and then the romantic part comes in but by then it’s completely ok because they are the same age. and it’s made better by the fact that they now have a history together they had a good relationship when she was younger. she remembered all those times that he helped her through difficult things or when he listened when she just needed to talk to someone. so i think that Jacob and Nessie are amazing.

Makiyah | 9 comments 🤢🤢 yes, I'd rather forget every last one of those details because that's exactly what grooming is. The fact that Jacob said that...🤢 I personally love Jacob and feel like the author assassinated his character but this is one reason why many have strayed from the character. That is the most disgusting thing I've ever heard. How can anyone have romantic feelings for someone that they helped birthed? Even it doesn't start off that way, the author having those intentions is sick. And Jacob being aware of how the dynamic will play out is even more sick and disturbing. I remember him telling Bella I'm Mew Moon or Eclipse "why wouldn't she chose him? He would've been the perfect mate" 🤮🤮 referring to Claire, a two year old, and Quil.

message 8: by Zoe (new)

Zoe I love Jacob and Renesmee as persons’s but I can’t see them as a couple. I like that whole idea of imprinting but as there isn’t any official sequel from Stehphenie Meyer, I just can’t imagine myself them growing up together. Nonetheless, Jacob and Renesmee somehow match together. But it would be great if there was still another book of the relationship of the two of them and Renesmee growing up.

@ Kelly
On Wattpad are a lot of extra story of Renesmee and Jacob. I read a really good one but that was in german if you don’t mind. There were two stories of Jacob and Renesmee written by the same person (one 7 years after Breaking Dawn and the other 30 years after her first novel, but that didn’t disturbed me since I hadn’t a good sense of time) called Rising Sun and Blood Moon written by Chaela, I really really liked and would recommand. They knotted pretty good on Breaking Dawn und were well written and fancy as if that could really have happend (if there were another story).

Layken Turney | 2 comments Ew. What???? This is predatory and gross, just because she ages quickly does not mean she is ready (or will ever be fully developed as a character) enough to be with Jacob. I do appreciate how Stephanie Meyer tried to solve the love triangle but this is just gross. Jacob is 15 years old. Though after Renesmee reaches age 7, she will apper to be older than him. That's like a 23 year old dating a 13 year old that is more physically developed. I hope this alternate view helps some of you.

message 10: by Ron (new)

Ron | 0 comments I love Jake and Ness. I've always seen it as something as more of a spiritual sense. It was never romantic, not for a second, at least not at the beginning. Sure in the future but that's only if Ness wants them to be something more. Whatever she decides, Jacob has to abide by it.

I would love if SM were to write a story with them.

And it's really no different, at least I don't think so, that it's similar to Quil in that he imprinted on a 2-year-old. Sure there are many differences between them. While Jacob gets to enjoy immortality for a long while at least he'll have Quil by his side for a long while as Claire grows up and then like Ness, it will be her choice if she wants something more.

Granted sure, the imprintees are most likely going to pick their wolves but still.

I see a kind of sweet innocence between Jake and Ness. He cares for her and protects her, especially as a young one.

It's like he says, he's anything she needs him to be "a friend, a brother, a protector."

My only issue with Ness is that SM chose to do rapid aging. Given that her parents are immortal it would have been nice for Ness to age at a human rate so they could have even more time with her as an infant and child.

Naomie | 15 comments I’m, actually, kind of excited about a Jacob and Nessie book series. Or just book, at this point. I wonder if SM will touch back on Edward and Bella and create new plots for them. I suppose I’m getting ahead of myself.

I can see how it can be a creepy novel in that Jacob was so much older when he imprinted on Renesseme but as a reader I didn’t see it as a romantic imprint more of a spiritual imprint.

I kinda wish they would do more of a spin-off of Alice and Jasper or Emmett and Rosalie. Either way, I’m excited!

message 12: by Ron (new)

Ron | 0 comments It would be cool if she did a Jake/Renesmee storyline. I'm sure there can be much to explore there.

I so badly want to write a fanfic for them, I just need to find the right story idea.

Yeah, reading it I saw it as a spiritual connection too.

And when reading the illustrated guide, it only adds to my belief that that's what it was. Even when you had a lot of the older brothers imprinting on girls their age there was still a sense of innocence and while those are romantic relationships, it's easy to look past that and see how innocent it really is.

*****

If you all haven't read the illustrated edition, I highly recommend you do. It's really good at filling in a lot of the blanks, especially when it comes to the wolves and their imprinting ability.

Asha Burr | 3 comments At first I didn't particularly like nessie and jacob when watching the movies but when I read the books I understood their friendship and eventual relationship a lot better

message 14: by Maddie (new)

Maddie I've got mixed feelings. I'm creeped out a bit (I mean, he was in love with Bella for 4. Straight. Books.) but also get why! It brings all the people Bella loves together without having any issues, like Jacob still loving her!

message 15: by Annette (new)

Annette Hernandez | 5 comments Well, as Makima from a certain Chainsaw Man skit once said:
"Whopper Whopper Whopper Grooming Minors Whopper Whopper"
Seriously though, I don't care what anyone tells me, Jacob should be in prison.

message 16: by Evelyn (new)

Evelyn Burns | 1 comments I loooove renesme but her and Jacob is kinda gross and i agree with Bella Nessie is not a very good nickname in my opinion :)

message 17: by Maja (new)

Maja Richards | 6 comments Bruh I mean there’s soooooooooooooo many ways to solve a love triangle normally it ends with one of them dying but making Jake Bella’s son in law was just 😖 but in another life it when Jacob wasn’t a wolf and reneesme wasn’t a baby it would’ve been great
