محمد الملا (almullaonline) | 82 comments Right now I'm reading "HBR's 10 Must Reads on Strategy"
Which contains 10 different articles about strategy written by different writers

But I'm confused about what is the proper way to write the quotes into goodreads

What is existing now is that the quotes is written under the main book
https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes...

In other hand, there is quote from one of the articles is attached to the article's writer
https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes...

What do you advice is such case ?

Regards
Moahmmed

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments The article published in HBR magazine does not meet GR requirements inclusion and should not be on GR

Quotes should be added to the book "HBR's 10 Must Reads on Strategy"

Thanks Paula for your clarification, if it possible to see the "GR requirements" to be more aware, it will be great

One more thing:
In the book's "Work Settings" section there is an option for article as "Media type", It looks like it's OK to keep them

Keith (kgf0) | 377 comments In books with multiple contributors such as this, if the the book entry includes the contributors as secondary authors (as Michael E. Porter now is for HBR's Must Reads on Strategy ), then when you create the quote and add the author in the proper field of the new quote page, selecting the book in which their piece was published should be possible from the drop-down titles list (assuming that the author has fewer than 500 books, which seems to be the size limit for that field).

I'm not sure I wrote that clearly enough, so just ask if that creates new questions.

I went though the book once more then i saw that you add Michael E. Porter as "Contributor" within the author list, that's make sense

What i will do is:
1) I will go to this link:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/quot...

2) Click on "Add A Quote"

3) and I will choose the " HBR's Must Reads on Strategy" from the list

I that right ?

Keith (kgf0) | 377 comments That should work, yes.

If you ever find yourself doing without the Author field already filled in on the Add a Quote page, just type the author's name in (you should get auto-complete suggestions), and then the Title list will be propagated once the author is selected.
