Pick For Me Challenge - October 2017
Me...same shelf. And if whoever gets me picked Poughkeepsie (even though it's the boxset), I wouldn't be mad :)
Fabi - do you need me to repost my shelf link to make it easier for you? If so, I'm happy to do it, if I namember how!!!
As long as you played last month I still have it on my list. Thank you though. even if you're kinda stacking the deck for your pick LOL
I am in!! 😗Lisa, if I get you, I would absolutely pick Poughkeepsie. It's the only 5 star read of mine on your list.
I'm in too. Exactly the same as Paula :/Paula: Me! Even though I still have to read this months! Same shelf as usual
LOL guys. I'm out of the house most of the day today. I'll try to do the drawing tonight but it may be tomorrow. I didn't want to do it yesterday since it was a day early.
Sorry guys. Struggling with Internet connection at home today. I really need my laptop to do this. It would be a nightmare on my phone.
I had to completely replace my wireless router. And the new has some fancy fancy OS that took me hours to get configured correctly. I still have to work on my repeater. But I'm pooped. Will try to do the draw after dinner if I don't pass out first. Soooorrry.
Eeew. New routers can be a pain. I've only had a successful first try with a wireless once. I think the only reason was that it was just a newer version of the old one. All sympathy and understanding with those stupid things. (And yes, I'm usually the one installing the stupid things. )
Paula. I got you. yeah!I looked through your bookshelf and I've only read a couple of those. I didn't rate them very high so I'm not going to pick them.
There is one that jumped out at me. Everything about it appealed to me. The cover, the title, the blurb. Sounds so good. So, read it and let me know. hahaha
My pick for you is
oh, Renee, I'm sorry I didn't see your post before I ran names through the randomizer! so sorry. I'm happy to pick for you unless someone else really wants to in order to make you read a particular book. ;-)
Thank you Fabi!!Jan - I get to pick for you again so am picking the one I was considering last month
I was late, Fabi. I'm just now back on here and happened to see the thread. That'd be great for you to pick for me. Thanks!
*rubs her hands in glee* I got Ela! Ela, I'm trying to decide between three. However, there is no evil this month like there was with Jean.
You know... technically... this month is the finish a series month... And Alpha and Omega is a series you started...Just sayin'.
I don't know! I'm torn between that, Red Queen, And How to Date a Douchbag 1. All three are five stars for me and were sincerely wonderful but in totally different ways! One is the PNR excitement mystery with a couple that makes my top five most romantic of all time, one is a fantasy that just riveted me from the start, and one was so funny and fun, with such an ass... So basically, PNR, higher fantasy though YA, or Funny with a total jerk. See why I'm torn?
Renee wrote: "I was late, Fabi. I'm just now back on here and happened to see the thread. That'd be great for you to pick for me. Thanks!"You like dark reads right? If so, then I have to pick
for you. But if you don't like dark reads please let me know so I can pick a different one for you.
Oh wow! I forgot we had the other challenge too. I have a lot of catching up to do! (good thing it's the fun kind of catching up!)Fabi, that's the one that was picked for me in ?? ...some month--before everything went crazy. I would like to still read it for that month and get a different book for this month. Would that be okay? (Sorry. I forgot to update my list before I posted.)
ETA: and yes, I lurve dark reads
Wait, wait... You mean she hasn't read FCH? *grins* Ignore the broken nail issue! If you have strong as freaking claws nails, they will break like that. *snickers and runs off*
Alright, Ela. I wanted to say Red Queen. I wanted to say Fair Game. I don't know if anyone else will pick those for you, but I think you'll get a good laugh out of How to Date a Douchebag, The Studying Hours.
Oh and Ela! We both own Crow, so that might be one to BR eventually (if my insane mafia need doesn't drive me to grab it first).
Ela wrote: "Someone pick for me Megan Hart's book???
"Ela-- I was looking back through the posts and saw this. This is my absolute favorite Megan Hart book! Although I'd be afraid to pick it for you because I begged someone to read it one time and they didn't love it like I did. I hate it when that happens!
