22%: (view spoiler)[OMG THIS SO GOOD. I'm already pumped to read Cry Wolf! I love Anna and Charles together. I want more of them!!

God, I am so happy that Charles was sent to help Anna out with this wolf problem because if he never came he would've never met his mate or anything. He probably would've been glad not to have been shot 3 times but now he gets a chance at being happy!!

I'm also super glad that they teamed up and killed the three wolves: Isabelle, Jason, and Leo. Isabelle was completely crazy. Bonkers even. I'm not sad that she died because she's the reason why so many others were killed. Jason definitely deserved it because he had so many other guys rape Anna. Leo deserved it as well because he knew what was going on and didn't do anything to stop it.

Book 2 finished (view spoiler)[ So many twists happened. It's like I'm reading a mystery thriller. I didn't expect to like it at all. But the fights are awesome a lot of actions happened. (hide spoiler)]

42%: (view spoiler)[So the second part of this book started off slowly. I really wanted more of Anna and Charles. However, on the prowl is about four different novellas.

So, now I am now reading about Kai and Nathan. At first I didn't really like them. I just thought their story was moving pretty slowly. But then it got pretty interesting because they are different than what Charles was. Nathan isn't a wolf-shifter. No he's sort of like an elf or hellhound type of thing. It's very confusing but still has an interesting element.

I think their friendship is kind of fun to read about. I really like her friendship with Ginger. But I think the most interesting thing about Kai are her dream vision things. I like how she can see things before they happen. But I don't like that certain people are calling her a witch or that some guy is hunting her for her blood.

Blood hunting is sort of making me cringe. Now I need to finish this book!! (hide spoiler)]

63%: (view spoiler)[Okay so the second novella ended with Kai and Nathan basically living happily ever after. But it didn't come easily to these two. Nope, Nathan had to protect her from his Queen who was trying to kill her because Kai wasn't one of them. But Nathan didn't really give a shit because he was falling for or he already fell for her.

Either way their story sort of got better but the first novella was a lot better in my opinion.

Now onto the third novella within this book. Now this one sort of seem interesting but I haven't even bothered to remember their names honestly. I know one goes by "The Fey" which just annoys me because they don't even have a name. I think the other character is Claire..but I know a Matt has been mentioned as well. Again, I don't really remember much about the characters but the story seems pretty interesting. I wonder where it's going to go. Are they going to reveal the fey's name? Are they going to fall in love? So many questions and hopefully I'll start paying more attention so that I remember their names...,/spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

80%: (view spoiler)[Wahoo! The fey finally has a name. It's a really weird name but hey it's a name nonetheless! The Fey = Heidar. Now this name definitely makes me think of Hodor from Game of Thrones. Every time I see his name I'm constantly saying Hodor instead. I think something is wrong with me.

Also, I totally call the whole crushing on each other and then falling for each other. Claire and Heidar (HODOR) start making out. I really hope the whole series isn't insta-love. Can I just have a normal relationship with a slow burning build up!? Is that a lot to ask for?

But then things go like way too far way too early. Like why is baby making and marriage already brought up? Haven't they known each other for like 5 minutes? I'm so confused and baffled about their conversations.

Also super happy that Claire finally realizes that she is half-fey which is apparently frowned upon in Hodor's eyes, I mean Heidar's. (hide spoiler)]

100%: (view spoiler)[Okay, wow, so this last novella within this gigantic book of novellas should probably win an award for the most cringest short book ever written. If there isn't a real award for this kind of thing then someone should make one, stat. I honestly wish I never read it and hope I blacked out for most of it... if not all of it.

Some of the stuff that was said between the Queen "Mona Lisa" and her lover were just gross. I wanted to barf up my dinner, water, wine, and literally everything else. I wish I was blind right now.

Honestly my favorite novella from this entire book that I got online for free was the first novella: Alpha and Omega. Which was about Anna and Charles. Seriously people just read that one Don't even bother with the other ones unless you really feel like making yourself cringe.

Don't torture yourself. Consider yourself lucky as hell because I have tortured myself by reading all of these novellas. I wish someone would've warned me not to read three out of the four novellas provided within this book. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-3: (view spoiler)[Okay a lot of information has hit me in the face. So Anna is now in Montana with Charles. I'm so happy I am reading about them again..



I can't believe he still has the silver bullets in him - at least I hope I heard that right (sorry I'm listening to the audio on my phone with the tv in the other room up so freaking loud! -- football). I would think that his body would've healed already but I guess it just takes time to get silver out of their blood system.

Chapters 4-6: (view spoiler)[Dang! So much has happened within these few chapters. I'm happy that Anna and Charles are getting closer and closer. I don't like how people are trying to talk over Anna or anything like that. Like, uh excuse me? She has a powerful mate people. AKA Charles. And then she's the omega so that should mean something. I love how she doesn't bow down to anyone either. Like she's a bad ass bitch.

Then the love making happened and I have no idea what happened? Did they not connect? Did they do it wrong? I'm so confused!! I wish I was reading the book and not listening to it! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 7-9: (view spoiler)[The hunt seems pretty cool and has definitely sped things up in this book. Then there's like a bunch of fighting happening and I'm so proud of Anna because she definitely held her own. Then Charles and Anna have to team up against a witch?!?! CAN'T THEY CATCH A BREAK PEOPLE?!? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 10-12: (view spoiler)[OMG this whole witch bitch is making my head hurt. What does she want with Asil, Bran, and Charles?!?! I'm so confused! Does she want to take control over all of the wolves or something? I don't like how the witch could control Charles either and I hope Anna beats her up for it or ya know kills her or something. Oh, and Walter seems okay. As long as he helps Anna and Charles out I have nothing against him. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 13-15, aka...
Finished: (view spoiler)[awww such a happy ending! I'm so glad that they all worked together to defeat the witch! I'm happy that everyone found a happy ending - well Walter didn't because he died saving Anna from the witch. And then Anna killed the witch.

I'm sad for Walter but I'm really happy for everyone else. Does that make me a terrible person? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-3: (view spoiler)[At first I was really confused because the audio mentions a lot of characters and I'm mentally trying to remember who was in the first book. Which is completely sad since I listened to that book yesterday. But a lot has happened today and I have no idea how long my brain will be available to me. So let's get this book done.

Other than being confused on who is who and what they are doing to begin with. I'm also kind of confused on why or how Charles and Anna literally know nothing about each other?!?! How the hell can they call themselves mates and not know anything?!?

I'm glad they sort of started to learn about each other and stuff but I just feel like they are super awkward around each other a lot of the time. Like when they want to uh idk start love making or something. Can they push hormones aside and just take each other?! Just get it over with. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 4-6: (view spoiler)[When they start showing off their dominance was highly entertaining. But other than that I'm still sort of confused about this story. Like why do they have keep showing it off? Shouldn't they already feel it? and omg can Charles stop saying brother wolf. IT'S SO ANNOYING RIGHT NOW. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 7-9: (view spoiler)[UGH THIS BROTHER WOLF SHIT IS GETTING ANNOYING!! Why can't they just say inner wolf? Or wolf? I already know they are shifters. Other than that Anna joins the hunting competition - which I mean, why? She didn't need to. She doesn't have to be apart of everything? right? or is it just me? I don't think I like this book that much. Hopefully it will get better.. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 10-12: (view spoiler)[It definitely picked up here. Arthur is super crazy and weird and needs to die stat. Charles could or could not be in danger again..but I'm going to go with he will be in trouble. He always seems to find it somehow.

Then there's Anna. She was still fighting her inner wolf because of the whole love making thing with Charles. It was weird and sort of made me cringe a lot. But I'm glad that they finally came to a conclusion that it's not only her wolf who wants him in that sort of way but that she finally feels that way too.

Now I can move on with my life.

Oh, and then she get's kidnapped and Charles is probably the worst mate ever because he doesn't wake up during the whole thing and then shit hits the fan because Charles makes stupid decisions. But don't worry Anna got away from her wolfnapper. (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[Okay so the ending was kind of meh. I feel like it could've been way better. Other than that the book had some good action in it. A couple of twists and turns. It also had a lot of stuff I didn't see coming. The one thing I would definitely change is all the god damn mentioning of "BROTHER WOLF" I was getting so freaking annoyed every time it was mentioned. I wanted to throw my book. I wanted to walk away. I really hope it isn't used a whole lot in the next book or the rest of this series is going to be super rough for me. (hide spoiler)]

22%: (view spoiler)[So, Anna doesn't like Charles being a hitman for his dad anymore. I'm surprised it took this long for this to be brought up. His dad, Bran, didn't want to relieve him from his duty well because it was his job. But I think he's finally starting to realize what his "job" is doing to his son.

Leslie's character seems interesting enough. So do the other FBI characters. I feel like I'm getting lost and/or really confused about who is what exactly now. Who is wolf? Who is fae? Who is a witch? Who is a wolf/fae? Who is a wolf/witch? Is anyone fae/witch? I have so many questions going through my mind.

I think I need to make another cup of coffee and focus more on this book. (hide spoiler)]

42%: (view spoiler)[I feel like I should admit that every time I read Cantrip I automatically think it says "Catnip." So I laugh every time I think I'm reading Catnip agent.



Also, I'm surprised by how long it took me to finally read this much. I just got so distracted from the first audio I was listening to Bird Box and completely forgot about this book until I started listening to Big Little Lies. My bad people.

Okay, so a lot has happened. Lizzie, who is fae, has been kidnapped. Anna and Charles are helping out the FBI with the investigation and like I said earlier in this comment they are trying to find a murder. In the end, the meet the Fae King, who is also Lizzie's dad (color me shocked people) and they find out that the Fae have always known about the person who has been hunting their kind. But it basically didn't matter to them because they were people of power. They were nobodies.

OH SO THAT MAKES IT OKAY?!?! What the hell am I reading?!? What the hell is going on with Charles? Are Anna and him okay?

Also.. I'm getting annoyed all over again with the freaking BROTHER GOD DAMN WOLF. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1- 10 (view spoiler)[ Sooo so far, its a bit dry for me. Charles seems very devoted so far. I just wish something good would happen. I am a bit concerned about this witch though... what is that about. I do respect the fact that Anna has been through a lot with her past pack and that she is learning not to just take what she receives from the rest I want her to get some more back bone though!! BUT WHAT DOES SHE WANT!!!!! Ugh!!!!! Not sure how they can win!

I honestly blacked out for most of this part. The amount of times "Brother Wolf" was mentioned was frustrating me so freaking much. I just thought it was meh. Nothing really interesting happened for me to remember.

I really want to stop reading this book..but I have never "DNF'd"
a book before. So I will have to find a way to motivate me to read the rest of this book..and then the rest of the series. (hide spoiler)]

82%: (view spoiler)[It is about god damn time that Charles and Anna talked about their weird ass bond. Like, why the hell he always shuts it down. It has got to put a damper on their love life because of him choosing to do this all of the time. I mean, it made Anna think he didn't love her because of what he was constantly doing. It made her mad and it definitely made her doubt if he even loved her at all.

Do people not realize that when they are in a relationship or a marriage they need to communicate?

For example, a conversation could go like this:

"Charles: Oh hey Anna, there's a really good reason why I keep shutting down our bond. Trust me, you wont be mad at me anymore for doing it.

Anna: Tell me what you fucking did.

Charles: Oh uh yeah I'm dealing with a shit ton of crap and death threats from these ghosts and shit. I tried to take care of it all on my own and you know protect you and shit. Cause you're my mate and the love of my life.

Anna: You're an idiot. A fucking idiot.

Charles: But I love you!

Anna: You're still an idiot. Tell me next time jack ass then maybe we wont have sex out in the open so everyone in the world can hear it."
