One might assume that I’m partial and biased toward the Big Lake series, they would be right, I’ve read all twelve books (and all of Mr. Russell’s other novels as well) and as of yet, I cannot find a reason to give them anything but 5 Stars, that isn’t changing with this review either.

One of Big Lake’s most respected and generous citizens is found dead, a tragic accident that leaves the town reeling. But as Sheriff Jim Weber investigates, the “accident” is appearing more and more to be anything but. Another round of applause for Mr. Russell, another great mystery set in beautiful Big Lake with its personable, and sometime detestable characters.
