I had one more book I had been planning to squeeze in for September, but I barely started reading it and got too busy. I hope it’s ok if I start over and read it for October instead?
So long as you restart it in October and finish it in October then the points will count towards octobers challenge
Oh good! I didn't even start reading A Ghostly Shade of Pale but my kindle marked it that I was. So now I can reset it since I plan to actually read it soon
Right now I'm reading The Wood by Chelsea Bobulski. I'm about to read Karrin: Warrior Child by Sahara Foley
I'm reading The Child's Child by Barbara Vine (Ruth Rendell). It's kind of a story within a story, about unmarried mothers and gay men, with some of the story set present day (a woman has fallen pregnant with her gay brother's lovers child 🙈) and the majority of it being a story she has read with the same themes set in 1929.How is everyone today? I've been unconscious most of the weekend (legitimately slept from Friday night to Sunday night) because I've got another kidney infection. Fourth one since May 😡it's going to cost me £15 in taxi fares just to get to the doctors
I’ve been switching things up and reading some YA books for lighthearted reads. Right now I’m finishing up The Dating Games Book #1 by Melody Carlson. I haven’t decided yet if once I’m done I will start in on the Tracie Peterson novel I planned on rereading for October or not. It’s substantially longer and more in-depth than my mind can seem to concentrate on right now between work and family, so we’ll see. TP is one of my favorite authors, though, as is MC, so we’ll see how this week goes! I often like to read when waiting on my shift at work to start (I get there early and sit in my car). But, I do have some weekdays off this week, and could have some nice reading time at home when everyone else is away! 😀
Sometimes it can be good to switch things up. Well I'm back off to the hospital since my drs won't do anything. Lots of reading material will be required 😂
Sounds grueling😒. Never fun going through a revolving door of medical stuff. You may beat all of us in reading for this month though 😮😬. Get better soon!

I will revise this if I'm able to find the rest of the books in this series and read them this month!
Thanks Errriee 😊 I'm just sick of being fobbed off by the healthcare system. And of course you can Erin 😊
I'm so sorry Christina! I have a lot of health problems too including kidney stones & infections. Be careful with the infection, my fever spiked in the middle of the night with one & it almost killed me. I was in the hospital for a week. I remember a whole 30 minutes of it. Take care of yourself! I hope you heal soon!! ♥️
Amy this is why I'm annoyed. I spent two weeks in hospital in May with a 39 degree fever, and I'd had no symptoms beforehand. Every single time the infection doesn't show up in any tests, so it's a case of hustling myself down to the drs every time I get a pain there. But this doctor, despite me having been told by the hospital that I need to have various scans, won't even give me a prescription for antibiotics purely because nothing has shown up in a urine test.
That's awful!!! Essential oil and green tea with honey may help alleviate some symptoms but you really need an antibiotic. I'm shocked they wouldn't give you one!! I'm so sorry!!
If I'm reading the first book in a series and it says on Goodreads that there are going to be three books in the series but only two are published and I read those two can I count that as a full series?
I was able to get the rest of the books in the series I started this week, so I can add an additional point to my October score. I just finished the second book, and will post my review tomorrow when I get a chance!
Erin and Natasha yes that would count as a whole series as that is all that is currently available. Natasha I’ll amend your score for you then.
Thank you Errriee I’m just tired of being ill, but I think even without the antibiotics I’m slipping into another healthy phase because my weird vivid dreams are back. As in for some reason I was at a school, and Cristiano Ronaldo was there talking about road safety and all I wanted was a selfie with him, but we got talking and he saved my butt from demons by sticking one up his butt 😂 yes my dreams are weird and wonderful.

Feel better quickly! I'm so sorry you're going through this again! 😞
Errriee the only other thing you need to do is put a total Points thing at the end of your comment as that book is a total of four points once you account for it being a standalone. Back to my voluntary job today ... means I get to read George’s Marvellous Medicine with my students

How would I document an arc copy of a book I just finished? It's not listed on Goodreads yet. Would I get the page count from the author?
Thanks Amy.Tiffany if it isn’t yet on Goodreads and was an arc copy I assume you either had an electronic version of the book or a physical copy. In either case use the page count from that 😊

I have a PDF copy and all I can find are location numbers. I'll be ok if I don't get credit. It was amazing!!

Christina, that one is on my "to read" list. My kids loved it and I've read a couple of his books. Will it make me cry? Lol
It probably wasn’t my favourite one of his, but it’s still a good read if you want a standard young adult read. I preferred The Fault In our Stars.
