Okay, we're nearing the end! What are your thoughts so far? Do you have any predictions as to how this book will tie up? Do you think we'll have a cliff hanger? Let us know!

Makayla (makaylarose404) I KNEW IT!!! LEANDER HASTINGS IS LEE

Alex Espino (heretherebeareader) | 8 comments Jack has changed so much from the boy he was at the beginning to the warrior he is now.

How this story is going to play out is probably going very intense and tragic.

Margarette (anniiing) I finished the book today and I gave it 3 stars. I don't think there's a cliffhanger though. And I torn between liking it and not liking it. Dunno why. Hahaha Maybe because it's not my forte(genre). But overall it's a good read.

Christina (adventuresinpolishland) | 17 comments I knew that Hastings wasn't to be trusted! I'm also waiting for the other person that was with him when he first appeared to show up in the story. He was mentioned as young and athletic, so I'm thinking he's another warrior that Hastings used to get a date for the Game set. Hastings is just using Jack to fulfill his own personal agenda.

Margaret Lyon (margaretlyon) | 4 comments I had a sneaking suspicion about Hastings for quite a while...

Agos Biancardi Vilchez (aagosb) | 6 comments Kind of feel sorry for Hastings. And think the idea of warrior/wizard is great!

Sara Jess I am enjoying the second half of the book more than the first. Things are heating up. I like how the Lee Hastings situation finally clicked to Susannah and the mirror. Still a 3 star rating but possible investment in the second book.

Camille | 1 comments I figured out that Leander was Lee around the second time they mentioned his name. I was like, "Leander. What a mouthful. I feel sorry for young Leander. Maybe he had a nickname... LEE!"

Bookworm | 31 comments This book just got reeeally interesting.

Mom2triplets04 | 40 comments Ok I made it to this part. It did pick up which I'm glad as the 2nd part was so slow.

Kaitlyn Meacham | 6 comments I am really excited to see how this will all tie together. I want to see if Ellen will appear again before the end... I am almost positive that she will. I think it is possible she might be the warrior for the Red Rose but I hope not I hope she appears in the book some other way.

Amy Crabtree (amycrabby) Oh, God damn it! That's going to happen, isn't it? Ellen's going to be the warrior for the Red Rose. It does explain why she moves around so much. Can't wait to see how the tournament turns out if it is her. Maybe Hunger Games style and they both decide to take the "berries" at the same time.

Elizabeth | 4 comments danni- that would be intetesting to see how they would bend around the rules of the game, considerng it is a fight to the death. Maybe they break the rules somehow and wake the dragon up? hmm

Brie (bashfulnights) I'm glad the book picked up. I might have put the book down if it didn't. But LEE! I thought there was going to be something fishy about him, but I thought it was going to go as far as him working for the Red Rose. As for how the tournament could go down, I agree with the Hunger Games type ending. I don't think Jack could actually kill a living person.

Fien (touchedbythepage) | 11 comments The only problem I have with this story is the reason of the tournament. It's ridiculous. Can't they just kill the other wizards, get over it and move on? No, now they're using warriors and they are almost extinct because of their arrogance. As long as the Roses stay alive, there will always be "war". And if a warrior wins the tournament, there's a shift in power? How ridiculously stupid!! Oh, well, let's have the future of your power rest in the hands of one single warrior. RIGHT. And you know, if you lose, let's arrange another tournament, we've got CENTURIES to figure this out anyway. Who cares who dies? As long it's not you and me. Cos we're wizards! Totally pointless. What was the reason of their dispute anyway? Boredom? I'm aware this is the foundation of the story and yet, I keep reading this for some unknown reason.

chris (f4gtian) | 13 comments Not to be disrespectful but this book is so boring! I can't connect with any of the characters and the story has been so predictable. I'm surprised I made it this far. I will continue reading the book only because I don't like leaving books unfinished.

Bernadette Davis (godblessthenightowls) | 5 comments I swear to god, I am so angry right now. I knew I shouldn't trust Hastings, but I did it anyway. My new life motto is "Never trust immortals." Unless of course they are Mangus Bane. And you think Will or Fitch or Jack would have figured something was up with Hastings. Like Aunt Linda calls him Lee and Lee was obviously mixed up in Susannah's death. And don't even get me started on Linda. Don't trust her either. I don't trust any of these people.
