Black Ops, Inc. operative Joe Green is determined to bring to justice the man responsible for former team member Bryan Tompkins's death. He's convinced the ambush that killed Bryan was no coincidence, but a setup. Unsure of the consequences of the battle he's about to start, Joe distances himself from both his Black Ops, Inc. team members and the woman he loves, Bryan's sister, Stephanie Tompkins.

But Stephanie knows there must be some reason Joe broke it off, and when she hears Joe's charged with a murder in Sierra Leone, she wastes no time in breaking him out of prison. Then they must unravel the mystery behind the ambush, and bring resolution to a long-ago betrayal.

Joe Green: aka Mean Joe Green. Operative for BOI. Former CIA. He's involved with Stephanie Tompkins. He’s tall with hazel eyes and sandy brown hair (military cut).
Stephanie Tompkins: Cryptanalyst for the NSA. Involved with Wyatt, she's Ann and Bob's daughter, Bryan's sister. She's a curvy brunette with brown eyes.
Ann Tompkins: Stephanie and Bryan's mother who is an attorney with the Department of Justice. 'Adopted mother' of the BOIs after Bryan was killed in action as part of Task Force Mercy. Married to Bob.

Jenna McMillan Jones: Journalist for Newsday who was rescued by Gabe in Argentina when they brought down the group known as MC6, led by Edward Walker and Erich Adler. Raised on a ranch in Wyoming. She's 5'9 and has auburn hair and green eyes. She and Gabe are married now and parents of baby daughter, Ali Lynn.
Luke (Doc Holliday) Colter: Operative with BOI. Former Navy SEAL. Team medic now married to Valentina. Loves to play poker. He's tall with dark hair and brown eyes.

Dalmage orchestrated the ambush that caused Bryan’s death. He’s behind Joe’s imprisonment in Sierra Leone. When he’s confronted at a White House party, he has a heart attack and dies.

B. J. and Rafe had a baby girl, Selena Rossella Janine.

The Black Ops, Inc. group is now a sanctioned organization under the DoD. They relocate to Washington, DC.

Joe and Stephanie get engaged. Crystal and Johnny are pregnant. Abbie is pregnant with her third child.
