Hello there, Struggling Writers! Welcome to our October 2017- Halloween contest for Struggling Writers. This thread will officially be open for submissions starting October 3rd, 2017.
Theme:
Trick or Treat-Make a short story of what made you or a made up character so excited about Halloween. Is your character a trickster? or college partier enjoying a party? Or even a kid trick or treating alone for the first time?
For those who don't like Halloween or celebrate it the theme for you is below:
Fears!-Make a short story explaining why a person is scared and possibly how they overcome that fear. Are they afraid of the creepy old man across the street? Or clowns at the circus?
Entry Deadline:
Tuesday, October 24th by 12:00 am EST
Winning Prize:
The winning short story/Poem/Haiku/Song will be featured in the November 2017 Struggling Writers Newsletter. :)
Rules/Guidelines:
*Entries cannot exceed more than 700 words.
*No swearing/vulgar language or inappropriate (18+) entries.
*Any entries submitted after 12:00 AM EST on Tuesday, October 24th, will not be accepted.
*All entries must be in the form of a short story/Poem/Haiku/song!
