Hello Iggles! Sorry for thr delay in getting this months book post out, I've been a bit under the weather but I'm finally here with our October pick! I've decided to go with a creepy book this month, and I've chosen Bird Box by Josh Malerman.
Here is the synopsis: Something is out there, something terrifying that must not be seen. One glimpse of it, and a person is driven to deadly violence. No one knows what it is or where it came from.
Five years after it began, a handful of scattered survivors remains, including Malorie and her two young children. Living in an abandoned house near the river, she has dreamed of fleeing to a place where they might be safe. Now that the boy and girl are four, it's time to go, but the journey ahead will be terrifying: twenty miles downriver in a rowboat--blindfolded--with nothing to rely on but her wits and the children’s trained ears. One wrong choice and they will die. Something is following them all the while, but is it man, animal, or monster?
Interweaving past and present, Bird Box is a snapshot of a world unraveled that will have you racing to the final page.
Let me know what you would like go read next month, I was thinking maybe John Green's new one but I'll definitely be reading it next week when it comes out, which I'm sure most of you will too. Or maybe something like It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover, I feel it's an important book that need to be read by everyone but it has mature themes to it so I didn't want to jump right in to it without getting your feed back first!
Let me know what you guys think! Leave your comments and thoughts below!! Michelle
