Coven: Rising from the Ashes discussion

Here is where every witch who has been trialed will face their punishment according to the severity of their crimes against the coven, normally it is tortures and Burning's that take place, hangings only really happen if the witch or warlock has acted of their own freewill against a truce.
The punished witch is dressed in white while the other members dress in black. Gasoline is poured over the witch and a fire is set until at last all essence of life have vanished. A witch has avoided this fate, because of a talented witch who had the ability to bring back the dead and heal them. It all became a surprise to the coven when it had happened, but none-the-less the witch was burned again accepting her fate fully. During which time the witch was granted to wear the colour red showing that her coven respected such dying wishes.

Mathew appeared having Stefan and Julian bothed wearing white slothes aorund their waist lines. Their chest bare as one fo the servants begin covering the boys in what appeare dto be gas, but thsi was different it held a sweet scent. MAthew's eyes cold and excited, "I expect you are wondering the true meanign behind alof this. I deisre to rise to the occassion and take the Seven Wondersa nd pass. In order to dos o I require some pwoerful abilities. I will drain you of your pweor under the one moon you can't come back fromt eh dead on unless yous trike a deal with Papa Legba. I will take your pwoer and become the next Supreme and ensure that my mother lives." Julian said nothing. Stefan, however was dnageorus and blew flames out at Mathew, "You are never going to get away with it!!!!" Mathew's laughter seemed to echo form the skies and earth like thunder. "Careful, boy...you wouldn't want to catch flame without all our guest ahivng arrived yet, would you?"

Myles arrived with Orlaith in his arms and looked at her in confusion. "I can't... " He told her. "Do it!" She told him. "It is the only way. I am not totally blind." He looked over at Stefan and Julian before appearing before a distracted Mathew. "Your right, he won't get away with it." He told them. Orlaith used what strength she had and gripped Mathew by the arm. The pressure that hit Mathew was visible as her power acted on instinct. She began sucking his power away from him, draining him and fast. Myles used telekinesis to hold Mathew in place. "Without power you are human and are worthless to Papa." Orlaith said, feeling the last bits of power being bottled up into her her. "You have no more power."

Mathew laughs coldly, "That's what you think...Orlaith, my dear you cna't hold that much pwoerm in you at one time." He siad seemign to stumble slightly form the quick drian of pwoer. "I struck a deal with legba and he granted me with power ebyond measure when I am, weak I wills till be strong. He gave me the pwoer to take pwoer form others as well. So look out." He syas giang hsi stregnth back hsi eyes glwiign almsot int eh night air and surroundings. The moon wabove was shifting form white to red. "The hour is upon us and I will have my pwor." He smirks dangerously as he pushes hsi ahnd forward at Orlaith his telekinesis weak, but seeming to really come back without taking it form Orlaith. It shoved her tot he gorund. "I will nto be seen as an enemy I am doing what is ebst for the coven not you or anyone else, btu the coven as a whole put your feelings aside and open your eyes to the truth were Julian not alive this mess would ahv enever occured." He sya pushing hsi power a bit ahrder at Myles knockign him to the ground as well. He was truly in no mood.

Orlaith wasn't able to continue for much longer her cuts were taking longer than normal to heal. She hit the ground with a groan and Myles went to help her only to get knocked himself. "Stop!" She begged, looking to Myles. "You are pushing it Orlaith." He growled, sweeping his hands. He opened up holes big enough to take Stefan and Julian in, teleporting them somewhere else so Mathew couldn't reach them. "Leave them alone!" He barked at Mathew, helping Orlaith to her feet. "You are a dead puppet. The Mathew I knew wouldn't let himself be controlled like some lackey."

Mathew laughs coldly, "Girl i have always looked at you as unhacked potential and you still surprise me with each failure. I am disappointed. you both are dissapointments, Now if you do nto want to be fugitives to the Coven then you willr eturn the victims of the councils judgement." He smirks dangerously.

Orlaith thanked Myles for his help and wobbled on her feet, hugging her middle with one arm as she held onto Myles with another. "You can't have them!" She huffed, coughing up a trickle of blood. Myles hovered in case. "I am only doing what she asks because she knows whats right. I also know your frivolous judgement is beyond trying to convince you otherwise, because you are not you, you are Papa. You have no judgement considering you are now under the laws of the voodoo. Just because you are in Mathews body doesn't give you any sort of jurisdiction."

Cordelia held tightly onto Velia's arm as they marched up the way, whispering harshly into her ear. Finally she let go as they met up with them. "Everyone calm down." Velia said putting her hands on her hips. She stepped between her lover and her kids. "Back up." She said shortly, seeming back to her sassy self. "Whats going on exactly?"

Mathew's glaring rted eyes were set on the students, Myles and Orlaith..."Those brats are insisting upon the interaction I had with Papa Legba he has taken possession of my form. Their accusation has been mistaken by my red eyes. It was a price I had to pay, but it was one I was glad to accept for life again." His jaw clinched, "Now again, Myles, give the victims of the burning up or become a victim of the burning by the act of treason agianst the coven's law enforcement." His words were cold and very serious. "I assure you had Papa Legba held any influence over me it would be their lives to save, well, Julians anyway. He has a soft spot for innocents."

Zoe held onto Axel as the nurse's ward vanished before her, replaced with the dry terrain she knew of so well. From the looks of things, Julian and Stefan were safe for now. Her eyes were fixed onto Mathew, ready at any time to use her power negation even if it would probably drain her energy. Now that she knew Axel's powers went far beyond what he thought they did, she didn't need to rely solely on herself. Her mind control wasn't working on Mathew as it might have before. "They're right, Mathew. Your presence has changed." Her voice was soft, but held an air of authority.

Myles sighed and shook his head. "Red eyes signify that you are a puppet of Papa's I know because Lukas made a deal. I've seen Papa, I've talked to him. He is very cruel and sneaky when it comes to deals. He forced a deal onto me even when I didn't agree. Mathew you are a shell, a puppet. You have your basic knowledge and memory but your actions are not your own, in fact your last memories are being enforced ten times stronger. He thinks you are special for a reason, he thinks the same of me." Myles gave her a deeply worried look. Orlaith put up a hand to her brother. "He's using you, he's enjoying it. He wants your power and if he can get more through you, then so be it. After that you are just another body, shell, slab of meat to him. He wants to rein through you. Don't you think it strange that he only keeps a small handful under his rules and alive to do what he asks for a simple... bargain that sounds all too good to be true. If you want to see what I saw... then watch. Take my hand." She told him. Orlaith held her brother so he didn't do anything rash but held out her hand to Mathew.

Mathew's eyes almost went pained. It was as if someone human was inside of him. Then the rage filled back up. "You pathetic excuse for a witch. I will have my souls and Julian and Stefan are the first. you may have hidden them from Mathew, but not me." the voice of Papa Legba erupted loudly. Mathew's hands raise intot eh air and clouses wsirl above only leaving room for the rising red moon to peak through high above it still held a sliver of white in it. Suddenly Julian and Stefan were back ont he post and a visible forcefield erupted formt eh ground and sky. Surrounding them a fissuere of screaming souls and lightening red na dgrena nd purple surrounding them. "I will have my souls promised." The voice eachoed form alla round.

Axel throuhg his hand forward at Mathew, "Stop!!!!" He shouted his palm facing Mathew and like a cripling effect Mathew seemed to be strangled in fear hsi body quivering to fight the grasp as he was forced to his knees. "Descensum!" He cvalls forth as lightenign strikes around Mathew and almsot isntantly the body of Mathew blurs and form the mouths and eyes a red light shives as Papa Legba erupts. "Well, helo, dere children....I see someone is very powerful here."
He looks back at a tied up Julian and Stefan, "Too bad it wasn't enough." He snaps hsi fingers and the boys seem to become surrounded by a ring of flames snaking across the fissure like it were floating on thin air as it weaved clsoer.

Velia watched pained as Mathew ceased to exist for the second time in front of her, arms around her waist tightly as her fists clutched in anger. When Papa appeared she finally set to work, trying to slip away to preform the spell she had been working on, part of it at least, and if that didn't work then she would preform the whole thing. She silently apologized her her unborn child that it wouldn't get it's first breath if that was the case. Velia looked to Cordelia and nodded at Papa, signaling for a distraction.

"Papa Legba, release the boys. This is unjust and a petty notion of power. My son was a fool to accept a deal, blinded by his desire of power to save my life."She said trying to get him talking.

Papa Legba merely laughed coldly at them as he raised his hand in the direction of Julian and Stefan. Instantly the boys burst to flames. Julian screaming out in pain and Stefan roaring out a flame of his own unable to express anytihng but the rage he felt even while being burned alive. Legba laughed hsi eyes menacing as he looked to the limp body of Mathew..."Rise and take the pwoer you so desire!!!" He says in hsi dark cold and echoing voice.

Mathew coughs for a moment and looks to Velia and hsi mother frowning and mouthing to them, "I'm sorry." He hodls his hands up and slowly the flames grow into a bright blue as visible energy is pulled form the boys into Mathew. And then their creams are silenced in an eerie echo of their last breaths. The crackling flames setting down as the smokey cinders of the corpses crackle as if life was still int hem trying to escape.

Axel screams out "No!!!!" Lukas limps forward afraid that this horror would never end. Papa Legba was never one for an audiance, but something in the coven has clearly peeked his interest.

Legba looks at Velia, "Your plans to save the boys have failed miserably. Cordelia, you have your son back, be happy, Velia...you have someone to be father to your unborn child. And well, the threat of Julian and Stefan agaisnt the coven ahs vanished at alst. Allow your new Supreme to rise and continue.

Velia rushed forward but was held back by Cordelia not wanting her to act rash. "Son?...I don't have a son." Cordelia whispered mostly to her self as Velia seemed to have the life taken from her, legs giving out. She was weak from being shot in the first place then to have so much emotional trauma to take place just feet in front of her just made it worse. All that work...for nothing.

Orlaith screamed something horrible as she watched both boys go up in cinders. Myles grabbed his sister from running up to save them like he could tell she would do. He placed his hand over her eyes and held her close, cringing as both boys were burned. Even he couldn't do anything, it was too fast, too deep. Orlaith cried into his chest and Myles could only look on in pain and anger. "You son of a bitch!" He growled at both Mathew and Papa. He snuffed what fire was left on the boys and used telekinesis to snap the rope and lay the boys on the ground. At least they could rest now.

Zoe screamed, unable to look away from the boys even though it was all she wanted to do. More than the sight of it all, the amount of loss occurring before her eyes was frightening. Axel's surprising strength had her worrying as well, but nothing compared to the guilt she felt at seeing the two boys burn. "Concilium," Zoe concentrated on Mathew, knowing they had little to no chance doing anything about Papa Legba. The spell seemed to be working at first before she felt the throbbing in her own head instead. Recovering, she ignored Cordelia's presence and ran at Mathew, desperate to do whatever she could to hurt him.

Papa at last vanished with not another word. His roar of laughter hanging in the clearing night clouds the blood moonw as full. A crimson sky rounding overhead. Mathew sat on his knees crying into his hands. He couldn't believe he allowed such control over his bdoy. But papa desired a soul...
Axel hits the ground in furious rage..."Damn it!!!"
Luykas weakly moves tot he now solid ground around the cindered corpses. He touched Julian's face then Stefans...."Wait...Orlaith...I know you are against it, but I still have a wish....I can use my wish now..." He says turnign to her. "Our pwoers may be useless in reviving them on such a night of their deaths, but Papa Legba is immortal his pwoers are infinite."

Orlaith looked up at Lukas with tear stained cheeks, sniffling. "N-No!" She whimpered, lip quivering as she stared past Lukas to Julian and Stefan. "W-What kind of life do you think he's going to give them if you make the wish. He'll do to you what he did to Mathew and no one wants that. Don't give him more power. Please. I can't take anymore of his blood stained power, neither can anyone else. Besides he is a cruel and tricky man and there is no guarantee that he will just hand over Julian and Stefan exactly as they were, plus he took their power and gave it to ...him." She glared at Mathew. "Please, Lukas, just let them rest and let the rest of us grieve, no more resurrection for a price. It was hard enough the first time coming back from hell." Myles held Orlaith close. "It's ok, relax, stop talking." He told her. "Lukas, leave it. It isn't worth the pain." He murmured, looking older than he was in that moment. Stress was sucking the life out of him and now grief over the poor kid that didn't get a chance to say goodbye. "Don't taint their souls, they would only hate you for it."

Zoe reached Mathew, shoving him in his apparent pitiful state. She ignored the voices behind her talking about leaving it be. The only thing that was on her mind was taking out her anger on the only person left here who could be thought responsible. "This is your fault!" She yelled at him. "You knew the price you had to pay!" Zoe's hands shook, her impulsive behavior not as well disguised as most of the time.

Axel pounds his fist once into the ground before going into a rage like no other in an instant the earth began shaking his eyes furious as he pushed past Zoe and ran into Mathew, not physically but his fist went forward knocking the guy at least ten foot form where he knelt down. He then rushed pushing Lukas out fo the way. Closing his eyes he screamed out in defiance to nature as both hands rested on Julian and Stefan's bodies. huis veins were tensing as he roared out in such fury it would have frightened any common man. In an instant moment power flowed from Axel like a never ending and forever binding grasp. The bodies began to flow with blood and hair began to grow as skin healed. His muscles and veins all tensing tighter. Axel's fury at last gave the boys breath as both opened their eyes enhaling deeply.; t was this pwoer that gave them pwoer. As their naked forms were fully restored jsut as they were if not even more flawless now. Axel falls back completely exhausted.
Lukas looked in amazement, "Did he just use Resurgence and Vitalum Vitalis?" He asked in awe.

Mathew looked up just as shocked. No one could pull off two abilities like that in one hard go on two bodies so easily. It was astonishing at how pwoerful Axel was...so pwoerful, that no matter what Mathew may never be the next Supreme it will surely be a mroe powerufl being and possibly a warlock.

Zoe stumbled back, staring after Axel before rushing to his side. He was even more powerful than she had thought earlier. Zoe knelt beside Axel, both astonished and concerned at the same time. Her hands roamed his shoulders, assuring herself that he was still with her. "Axel?" She asked quietly, her hands shaking out of shock from what had just happened. From when he had cancelled out her power, she had known something had changed, and apparently so had he.

Velia and Cordelia were shocked as well. Watching the boy they had keep their eyes on for a while preform some of the hardest of abilities. Cordelia smiled a bit sad before setting Velia's weak form on the ground, the girl grasping at her hands a bit, not wanting her to go. "It's okay."Cordelia said kissing her head before sending sad smiles to all her students. "Axel. I would like you to preform the seven wonders and take my place as Supreme." She said kneeling in front of him.

Axel weak, used Zoe for support as eh stood up looking at Cordelia in shock. "Wait, you are joking right?" He asks almost more than frightened. "No one who is not the Supreme can pass the Seven wonders...What if I decline?" He says plainly half out of breath and wrinkled hands and grey eyes and white hair were the signals of his weak state currently.

Stefan sat up and so did Julian both seemign to be otherworldly as how flawless they appeared. Even naked they appeared almsot deity-like. "I second Cordelia's motion...." Stefan says loudly..."If I may...even if I am no longer a member of this Coven." He says almsot nto really caring any longer. His eyes fell on orlaith wanting to comfort her.
Lukas nods, "I'd like to second that notion if Stefan can't and Cordelia, if I may be so bold I'd like to ask a re-evaluation of Stefan and Julian as reinstated members of the Coven." He offers tears in his eyes at how happy he was to see Julian alive.

"Then I'm afraid someone else will attempt and most likely fail." Cordelia looked around. "It's been seconded."

"I also like to second it." Velia said standing up her legs shaking as she stared at Mathews face, unsure how to feel about his return still, but her heart still beat for him.

"Motion passed then." Cordelia said looking at Axel. "It seems the coven agrees. If you feel unprepared or need more time I understand but time is not really on our side."

Orlaith was shocked at the sudden revival of two dead boys. It seemed impossible, looked impossible, sounded impossible and yet....here they were, sitting there looking like they had been pranked on a school night. Yet she couldnt help the rush of happy and relieved tears that overcame her, sniffling some more as she struggled for composure. Myles just held his sister looking a little more than shocked as he stared blankly off into space trying to comprehend it all. "Second!" Both siblings chimed somewhat wobbly. "I'd also like to offer up the opinion of a trial for Mathew and that he be taken off the council."

Axel felt the whole weight of the world was at last being lifted and placed upon his shoulders now. It was heavier than what he actually thought but he had to accept a seconded motion, "I accept then..." He says plainly, "Only because I don't want someone else getting hurt." He says it coldly as if it pained him to accept such a fate.

Mathew at last stands...He turns fromt eh crowd int eh error of distraction knowing he will never be accepted again for what he ahs done and abandoned them. He walked past otu fo view in the shadows. He was not about to face a punishment that he felt he did not deserve.

Zoe shook her head, wrapping her arms around Axel firmly. "N-no... What if it's not him?" It was possible that he could die in the process if he wasn't the next Supreme, and Zoe didn't want to face something like that again. She looked at Cordelia hopefully. "There must be some other way you can appoint him. It could be dangerous, you of all people know that." Her voice shook, the relief that she had felt moments ago completely gone.

Axel places a calm hand warm and nurturing against the small of Zoe's bck..."It will be okay...I have faith...if Cordelia beleives I amt he enxt Supreme then Iw ill gladly take it on as a chance to prove it." Turnign he looks at Stefan adn Julian...."Let's get these guys back home." Lukas nods taking off his suit jacket and wrapping it around Julian's shoudlers as he helps hims tand..."So much death and at the same time we have all been revived...I second Myles notion to be carried..Mathew msut stand trial for crimes agiasnt th coven and be removed formt eh council."

Lukas looks toward where Mathew was not seeing him. He was gone...Mathew was gone. Axel turns lookigns eeign Mathew truly had left..."Well, Cordelia it is left to you to decide whether or not thsi means he is a fugitive tot eh coven and a Rogue from this point forward and approached with cation, or should he be captured and stand trial?"

Cordelia looked to were her son had left. She furrowed her brow in thought. After thinking it though. "Mathew will be kicked out of the coven and the council. But he will not face execution. Mainly because that would put him to close to Papa once more, not only that but with someone as prideful as Mathew, being barred from the power he so wished to achieve is truly punishment enough." Cordelia sighed. "And I think we can all agree...there has been enough blood shed for now." Velia put a hand on Julian's head, stroking his hair a bit. It was a simple gesture, showing that she was happy he was safe. As affectionate as Velia got with people at least. "Still think I'm the bad guy kid?" She asked him blandly though obviously it was a joke.

Julian simply smiles sweetly, "There is no way you are a bad guy...It was just the fact that you were looking out for me when I wasn't wanting anyone to. I was stupid...I'm sorry, you were in the right. Damian is the real enemy and I can't ever see my brothers again."

Stefan frowns strangely looking him over. "Well, the least of it....I would say Damian can be kept from you, but Your other brothers need to be told the truth. They will accept you and I don't feel it could harm the Coven in anyway." He admits looking at Myles and Orlaith. He nods to Orlaith trying to show everything was going to be okay.

Velia shrugged. "Well I never mad it easy for you or anyone to trust me in the first place." She shrugged a bit and looked him over as well. "You Antonio in the least is ready to accept you. He was worried sick back at the house." She assured him.

Julian nods, "Okay...may I go see him?" He asks wondering and hopeful. Stefan stands up full blown nakedness. Axel takes off his own shirt and pants and tosses them to stefan who nods in thanks and pulls them on. Axel was in hsi udnerwear, but he was oaky with it.
"I thin it's time we all head back home." Stefan suggest kindly pulling on the clothes. "Lukas nods, "Right, well...honestly I'd like someone to go with me to my hosue incase Mathew is there." He looks to Cordelia in hopes that she may give him some sort of advise as to how to approach a homicidal maniac who draint eh wpeor of warlocks adn witches.

Myles helped Orlaith to stand and gave her a hug, trying to hush her over flowing emotions. "You are not the bad guy Velia." Orlaith told her, looking to Stefan with worry. "Your brothers do need to know, let them make their own decisions. Damian has been lying since day one and they won't want that from you, so best bet is to tell them." He told him. "I would be careful of your brother Damian. He has apparently turned over a new leaf, but I'm betting it wouldn't take much to have him go back to the hunters side." Myles told Julian, picking Orlaith up. "Come on back to the infirmary for you." He told her, turning to head back.

Velia nodded to him as she patted his head and adjusted the jacket over him. Cordelia smiles at them all. "Yes, we all deserve a rest." She said before looking at Lukas with a sad look on her face. "..yes I suppose that's best." She said looking over everyone. "Velia, would you mind staying with him and making sure Mathew doesn't attempt anything." She said her logic being that her son would least likely attack her. And not to mention Velia and Lukas were the closest to Mathew, so maybe they could support and be there for each other during the painful time of separating from him.

Zoe smiled to herself at Axel's surprising comfort in just his underwear. He had so much power, which they all now knew, and yet there were times when he seemed perfectly human. "You need to rest," she told him, hoping he wouldn't try to argue with her. He was worn out, unsurprisingly. Zoe held out her hand out of instinct so she could transmutate them back to the academy. Now that everything seemed to be over, her earlier feeling that Axel was hiding something had returned. Zoe brushed it off, deciding it didn't matter now as long as everyone was safe.

Axel nods helping Julian up and Making him grab hold of Stefan as Axel takes her hand transmuting for ehr all of them back to the grand foyer.
Luykas looked at velia reluctantly curiosu as to what might really be goig on in her head, "Well, apart form ebign pregnant you look more eager than saddened." He says palinly knowing there was mroe going on in her head than she expressed. "I'm sure you are releaved the boys are alive, btu something else is happening too...what's wrong? "he asked triyng not to sound liek he wad prying.

Velia sighed as she took his hand to transmute to Mathews home. "I'm just thinking of any confrontation. I'm ready to get this over with and start on a new forgetting potion so I will forget Mathew Goode even existed." She said as she closed her eyes and used some of the last drops of power she had to take them there before anyone could question her more.
