The Beach
Ginger lays in the sand. Her head pounding. Her forehead was bleeding. She was in pain everywhere. She had no clue what just happened.
((My computer is about to crash. Sorry if I don't respond. But I'll post right when I can get it to turn on again))
Luis got up holding his stomach as he noticed Ginger and walked over to her. "Oye mami, need any help?" He asked smiling.
Ginger glanced over at the guy. She stared at him for a second. Ginger sat up slightly. "No." She says refusing help.
Luis smirked as he looked at her. "Okay mami. Got a name?" He asked her.
Ginger looks up at him sharply. "Of course I have a name." She answers. She rubs her forehead and her hand comes back bloody. She sighs unsure what to do about it.
Luis looked at her forehead. "Here let me bandage that up." He said as he grabbed a small first-aid kit from his pocket. Growing up in Brooklyn you have to have some type of protection.
Hinge stares at him for a moment. But then conceded because she had no better idea. Ginger nods. "Okay." She says.
Luis bandaged her forehead and stopped the bleeding. "My mom taught me how to do this when I scraped my knee after I fell off my bike." He said smiling.
"Thanks, and I guess I. Pretty grateful she taught you then." Ginger says smiling back at him. She stands up and steadied herself so she wouldn't fall back down.
Luis helped her up and stood up next to her. "So what did you do before this crash?" He asked.
"What do you mean? My life before?" Ginger asks him taking a step to the side and glancing around the area.
"Well I lived with my mother. I worked in a surf board shop. I was going to visit my dad in America until the plane crashed." Ginger explains. She glances at him.
"What about you?" She asks him. Ginger was curious about him too. And she thought is was fair since she told him already about herself.
Luis scratched the back of his head. "Uhh you don't want to know about me." He said smiling.
"Okay do you wanna know so badly?" He asked smiling.
Luis sighed as he looked at her. "Promise me you won't think different of me if I tell you." He said to her.
"Well as long as you aren't a serial killer I think I can work things out with you." Ginger reptiles waiting for him again. However she was worried to what his answer will be.
"No no." He said laughing a little. He pulled a gun from his pocket and set it down in front of her along with a big stack of money and weed.
Ginger saw the gun and jumped back. She stared at it then the money, then the drug. Ginger glanced up at him. She took a step back."What are you really?" She asks him timidly. Ginger was quite nervous now since this guy had a gun and she sat defenseless.
"Well I sold drugs." He said looking away shamefully. "I grew up without a father and on harsh streets where I saw killing, shooting, smoking, drinking, and much more." He said.
Ginger was staring at the gun. She glanced at him. Them back at the gun. "When I ask this I'm serious. Are you going to shoot me because I rather you not." She asks him nervously.
"Oh no." He said smiling at her. "Here." He said as he picked the gun up.
"Don't give it to me!" Ginger shrieks backing away again. She looked down and muttered things under her breath.
"No here hold it. It won't bite." He said still smiling.
"But it does shoot bullets that kill." Ginger retorts. She bring her hands behind her back as if she was hiding them.
"Oh come on." He said inching closer to her.
"Okay." He said as he took the bullets out and put them in his pocket.
"Why do you want me to hold it? There is a great chance I'll accidentally find a way to hurt myself with it." Ginger tells him.
Luis smiled as he put the gun away and got up. "Listen I know what you might think of me, but I didn't have the easy life I grew up doing bad things such as breaking my teacher's arm for making fun of my sister and shooting my sister's boyfriend after he hit her.
"Well I guess those are reasons to get mad. But don't take it to that extreme. So if I said a rude thing about your sister right now. Would you break my arm?" Ginger asks him.
"No you're too cute to get hurt." He said smirking.
"Ohh really?" Ginger asks him. She glances down at her bright orange hair. She laughed. "I'm guessing that teacher wasn't that cute then?" She asks.
"Si." He said as he shuddered.
Ginger laughed then nodded. "Ok then." She says smiling at him. Ginger looked at the water as it ran over her feet.
"So I guess we have to like survive." He said as he started to play with the water.
"Or die. Either one. However I would like to live." Ginger says laughing slightly. She rather laugh then cry about the situation they are in right now.
"So if you get out what are you gonna do?" He asked.
"Me? Probably just go back to my regular life. I'm gonna go see my dad then come back to Australia and finish up schooling I don't know what else after that." She tells him.
"Before I came here I got a scholarship in Australia." He said smiling.

The sand is white, like on many Florida beaches, and feels pleasant to the feet. While the beach doesn't reach far back, the distance between the water and the edge of the trees is only around thirty-five feet, this is by far the most pleasant beach to be on. The one draw back is that this is the driest of all the beaches, and finding drinkable water would require going into the forest. This also means that there are plenty of dry wood and materials for other things that may be necessary.
